Third person~
The music that once filled the room was lower now. Everyone was back inside but the mood had shifted, almost like no one had noticed that they were being suffocated.
The wine Gabriel had brought turned out to be stronger than expected, and even Lena and Michael who had little sips were feeling kind of drowsy.
The same men who'd come in earlier lingered at the corners of the room. Gabriel avoided looking at them, he just couldn't meet their eyes.
Michael called them over and took one of the boxes from them, setting it on the table.
"What's that?" Sophia asked. Her voice was a bit slurred. She'd only been drinking, she didn't touch the chicken but she was still under the influence, just slightly.
"Something new," Michael said. "Do you guys want to feel even better?"
Gabriel kept his eyes on everyone else, quietly gauging their reactions. Selene and Luca seemed to be indifferent about it. Though Sophia and Lena seemed a bit wary.
