Chapter 1 - You forgot to feed me...? Then I’ll never forgive you!

The apartment was quiet, bathed in soft light through wide windows that opened onto a gray sky. The smell of coffee lingered in the air. Breathing—slow and steady—was the only sound.

Ren, the calm young man with a stare sharp enough to make women drown before he even speaks, sat on the couch. His messy black hair looked like he'd just woken from a dream he didn't want to leave. A book in one hand, a coffee mug in the other—until he felt her.

Soft footsteps, like a spoiled cat's, echoed as she emerged from behind the door. She was wearing nothing but his oversized shirt, one eye half-closed in a sleepy daze. She moved like she stepped right out of an anime.

– "Huh? Renoooo?" she called with a long, sugary whine, then suddenly pouted like a kid denied candy.

"I woke up two minutes ago and you weren't in bed... Boohoo! Do you hate me now?!"

And yes… the tears began to shimmer.

He smiled. He couldn't help it. She was an irresistible mess—an adult by age, yet mentally trapped in an eternal kingdom of pampering.

He got up, knelt in front of her, and gently lifted her chin with a finger.

– "Hate you? Impossible. I only got up to make you coffee, Your Creaminess."

She laughed.

Then suddenly screamed in his face:

– "But you didn't feed me with your hand! RENOOO! Emotional neglect!! I'm dying!!"

She collapsed dramatically to the floor.

He sat beside her, took her hand, kissed her palm, and then… slowly licked the tip of her finger with wicked playfulness.

– "So... I'm supposed to feed you, huh? Which part would you like me to start with?"

She froze.

Her face turned bright red—then she exploded in a sobbing mess of embarrassment and pleasure.

– "Eeeeeek! You're insane! I can't… Eeeeeeehh!!"

Then she leapt onto him and started biting his shoulder with her tiny teeth.

– "That's what you get! That'll teach you never to leave me without a morning cuddle! Nom nom nom!!"

He shouted in a mix of laughter and pain.

– "You adorable vampire... I swear I'll bite you next time!"

He said it, then turned to her, brushed her hair aside, kissed her neck… and gently bit into her skin.

She trembled.

She gasped.

Then whispered, her voice cracked:

– "You wicked man… Are you trying to kill me with kindness?"

Before he could respond, a high-pitched voice chirped:

"Boofuuuu~!"

It was him.

The little creature no one really understood.

A mix between a bunny and a blob of squishy cuteness, jumping onto the table, squeaking adorably—then glaring at them with jealous baby eyes.

Yuki rushed toward him.

– "Boofu! Are you jealous because we didn't feed you too? Come here, I'll give you a piece of my yummy bread!"

Then she turned to Ren with a fake pout:

– "At least he doesn't forget breakfast!"

...

A new day had begun.

And in this house… emotional neglect is just a myth.
