"AAAARGH!" My voice turned into a guttural growl.
My body shifted violently between my human form and my wolf form. My thoughts became blurred and I couldn't think straight.
I was stuck in a loophole watching both my mates' deaths. Something shattered in me… unknowingly letting my animalistic side take control.

Damon's scream echoed into the trees, a brutal, guttural sound that is nothing more than that of an animal.
His body twisted violently as fur rippled across his arms, then disappeared, only to burst out again. Bones snapped and reformed, caught in a torturous loop that wouldn't finish. One moment his back was straight and human, the next it hunched like a beast. His face contorted with pain, his jaw stretching unnaturally, and his eyes flashing black as pitch.
He wasn't shifting, but he was breaking.
He was caught between forms, between instincts and thoughts, between the Alpha he once was and something wild with no name.
