***********************************************

"I think you deserve the title of a superhero more than me." Power-girl said, looking at me. "I know about how you risked your life and saved the hostages from a psychopathic clown. And this despite the fact that you are an ordinary person, while I am practically invulnerable. I'm wondering if I really should engage in these heroics? I still don't understand why I do this? Because my cousin is a famous hero?"

"No," I interrupted her thoughts. "That's not why you're doing this. Just understand…" I looked into her eyes. "With great power comes great responsibility."

[A/N: Who said this? Grandpa Max?]

"Ah... Heh, I guess you're right."

"Yeah, we've gotten to talking, and you barely know me. I'm a stranger to you, and we are having personal conversations…"

"Not exactly a stranger," Power Girl said quietly, looking away. "I know a lot about you. I've read your books, listened to your compositions, played your games. I really liked the latest song, and the video you released the other day. But most of all, I liked your first song - "Something Just Like This", where you sing about great heroes, but don't see yourself among them. And, this…" she became even more nervous. "Can I get an autograph?"

Yeah, I expected anything but this turn of events. It seems that I'm famous even among representatives of other races. And it seems that I have many more devoted fans than I initially thought. Okay, let's give this wonderful lady what she wants.

However, I'm afraid she won't have any paper where I could leave an autograph. Oh, I'll have to find a way out... I quietly pulled out a piece of paper and a pen from my inventory and wrote: "For one of the most beautiful heroines I've ever met. I wish that Power Girl could become the one in whom people can see a symbol of salvation. Never deviate from the chosen path that you consider right. The hairstyle suits you very well. With loving care, Alex Reath."

After reading the contents, she was genuinely happy and hugged me tightly, burying her huge breasts into me. Well, I guess it was worth all the suffering I had to go through today.

Yes, for others it may seem strange that a superheroine would behave so unobtrusively with the first person she met. But think about it from another side. Despite the fact that she is an invulnerable Kryptonian, she is still a young girl who met her idol today. I think she can be a little carefree.

"I suppose I have nothing to do here?" said the blonde, looking at the scattered bodies for the last time.

"In that case, I'm off, it was nice to meet you, Alex."

"Same here," I answered the figure moving away into the sky.

It was noon, and I was finally able to arrive at the specified address. It was a cozy private house, small, but neat and quite nice. Heather said that the professor was staying with her friend.

This must be her house. I pressed the doorbell. And waited for an answer. A woman of about thirty-five opened the door for me. Her blond hair was slicked back. Her expression was inviting. She looked at me tenderly and interestedly.

"Hello, I'm looking for Dr. Kavita Rao. I was told that she might be here," I voiced the reason for my visit.

"Oh, yes, yes, she mentioned that she had an appointment with an unknown person today. Please come in, she is in the living room now," the woman invited me in a friendly manner.

"I am Sylvia."

"Alex…"

"Nice to meet you, Alex. When Kavita spoke of a meeting, I did not think that it would be someone so young."

In the living room I saw the one for whom I had come all this way. She comfortably settled on the edge of the sofa, looking at me with curiosity. She looked a little younger than thirty, a dark-skinned girl with glasses and a red dot on her forehead. She really did look like an Indian, but that didn't spoil her beauty at all, on the contrary, it gave her a certain exotic charm. I can safely say that she is a real beauty.

Although, I don't think I can ever call any woman ugly, but the person in front of me was truly beautiful.

"Hello, Doctor Rao, I am very glad to meet you," I greeted her.

"You are young, much younger than I thought," said the Indian woman, having examined my appearance. "Who are you? On the phone, I still didn't understand who exactly needed me."

"My name is Alex Reath."

"A familiar name, I've heard it somewhere before," she tried to remember.

"You may have heard and seen me on the Internet, or on TV…"

"Yes, you are that hero from Gotham, and also a rising celebrity. Forgive me, but I am not into the entertainment industry, and I do not often listen to the news. I only recognized you because Sylvia's daughter is a big fan of yours, and she once spoke about you."

Well, that's fair, she is a scientist after all and is not interested in anything other than her work. Such people are called work maniacs. They give everything to their work, and they are not interested in anything, other than that. I think she spends most of her free time doing research and various experiments.

"Please, Alex, sit down," said Sylvia, pointing to the chair opposite the sofa. "Maybe some tea or coffee?"

"Just water will do, thank you."

"So, what exactly did the rising star want to talk to me about? I can't think of any suggestions as to how such an inconspicuous female geneticist like me could attract your attention?"

"Precisely because you are a geneticist," I stated confidently. "I am not just some boy from show business. And at the moment I want to offer you a job, Dr. Rao."

"A job? I already work as a professor at the University of California in Berkeley, and I can say that I am quite happy with this job."

"Is that really true? Perhaps you would like something more…."

"I am not interested in money," interrupted Kavito, thinking that I wanted to offer her finances.

"No, I'm not offering money, but what you're so obsessed with...Research!"

"Hmm? Research what?"

"Super soldier serum. And the opportunity to work with a meta-human," I stated, and my words echoed like a bolt from the blue for the professor's ears.

"W-what?! You... Ahem," calming her heartbeat, Rao cast a serious look at me, which now sparkled with strong interest. "You can continue."

There's something I don't like about this whole story... Why is a genius like Dr. Rao so calm? She invited a complete stranger right to her friend's house. What if I turned out to be far from such a good person, and instead of just talking, I kidnapped the scientist sitting in front of me and forced her to work for me. But despite this, she continues to remain calm, even after I said the words about the super soldier serum.

Not only is she not worried about her own safety, she is also not at all worried about the life of her friend Sylvia. Something doesn't add up here… With her intelligence, it would be the greatest stupidity to be so careless, especially for someone who knows for sure about the existence of forces beyond human capabilities.

Unless… She is absolutely confident in her safety, but what exactly gives her this feeling? While I was lost in thought, we all heard someone enter through the front door.

"Mom, I'm home," a female and painfully familiar voice sounded.

"Aunt Rao, where are you?" A young girl dressed in blue jeans and a white sweater walked into the living room.

She had blond hair in a bob, and her eyes looked at the world through the prism of glasses. But the main thing that caught the eye was not her beauty, but her two huge mounds on her chest. Now it's clear why our professor wasn't worried about his safety, if I had such security, I wouldn't worry either.

Well, I didn't think I'd meet Power Girl again. True, now in my eyes she appeared not in a super-suit, but in everyday clothes. Coincidence? I don't think so! Yeah, it's getting more interesting and more fun
