Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Council's Mission, Part 2.

The air crackled with the lingering heat of Brian's attack, the acrid smell of burnt metal and flesh hanging heavy. The once-imposing ranks of Zydonian soldiers were now nothing more than smouldering ash, a testament to the Destroyer's terrifying power. Citizens scattered, fleeing in terror from the devastation.

Brian's unsettling grin remained. "Anyone else want to try and stop me?" he asked, his voice laced with dangerous amusement.

Silence. The Council members were too stunned to speak, their minds reeling from the sheer brutality they had just witnessed. They had known Brian was powerful, but they hadn't realized the extent of his destructive capabilities. This wasn't just strength; it was a casual disregard for life, a willingness to obliterate anything that stood in his way.

Mumei was the first to break the silence, her voice trembling slightly. "Brian... what... what have you done?"

Brian shrugged, his wolf tail swishing idly beneath his coat. "I did what I was supposed to do, simple as that."

"But... you killed them all!" Fauna cried, her voice choked with emotion. "There could have been another way! We could have tried to reason with them, to understand them!"

Brian scoffed. "Reason? You forget that these insects denied your offer earlier. They had their chance. They chose to cling to their arrogance. Now they're gone. Simple as that."

Baelz, despite her love for chaos, seemed genuinely shaken. "Dude... that was intense, even for you. Like, seriously, chill."

Brian rolled his eyes. "Don't start preaching to me about morality, Harbinger of Chaos. You're one to talk about causing destruction."

Brian then turned his gaze towards the towering structures of the city, his eyes narrowed in concentration. "Besides," he continued, "this isn't over. The soldiers were just the beginning. There are still leaders, engineers, scientists... all the people responsible for this mess. They need to be dealt with."

"No, Brian, stop!" Kronii pleaded, stepping forward. "You can't just go on a rampage! We need to think about this, to find a way to stop the Nexus Core without resorting to mass murder!"

Brian frowned at Kronii and the rest of the Council. "Listen here, you deepshits, did you girls forget our agreement? That you would try to negotiate, and if they refused, I would eliminate them? Well, look what happened. Did your talking work? Don't be morons and do your fucking jobs as a Council." He turned around. "Besides, there is no hope for this realm; it's already fucked up from the start."

The Council members exchanged uneasy glances. They knew Brian had a point, however brutal. They had tried diplomacy, and it had failed miserably. But the thought of standing by and watching him systematically slaughter an entire civilization was unbearable.

"But there has to be another way!" Sana insisted, her eyes pleading. "We can't just give up on them. There must be someone who's willing to listen, someone who understands the danger."

Brian shook his head, his expression serious. "They will not listen; the Zydonians will not listen to reason, even if you tried. This entire realm is fucked up from the very beginning..."

"Then what do you suggest we do, Brian?" Kronii asked, her voice laced with a weariness that spoke of countless failed attempts at peace. "Just stand aside and watch you butcher an entire world?"

Brian folded his arms. "I know you girls are going to hate what I say, but I will say it nonetheless. The only thing that can save this entire realm is genocide." His expression didn't grin devilishly nor deviously; it was just pure seriousness.

The other Council members echoed her shock. Mumei covered her mouth with her hand, her eyes wide with disbelief. Fauna gasped, tears welling up in her eyes. Even Baelz, the self-proclaimed harbinger of chaos, looked disturbed.

Kronii recoiled, her face a mask of horror. "Genocide? Brian, you can't be serious! That's... that's monstrous!"

"Yes, I am serious, Warden," Brian retorted, his voice hardening. "Monstrous, but that is the truth. When we first appeared into this realm, I sensed a very strong corruption in their life energies. This is not the first time that I have killed an entire civilization that was evil and corrupted. I know you girls sensed it, didn't you?" He turned towards them. "But tell me, what other options do we have? You girls tried diplomacy. It failed. You girls again tried reason. It fell on deaf ears." He turned to face forward. "These Zydonians are too truly corrupted, too far gone. The only way of saving them is death." His arms were folded, his expression serious, and his tone was cold.

The silence that followed Brian's declaration was heavy, suffocating. The Council members grappled with the weight of his words, the stark and brutal reality he presented. The air, still thick with the stench of death, seemed to press down on them, amplifying the horror of the situation. But they agreed with him; they did sense the strong corruption the moment they stepped into this realm.

Fauna, tears streaming down her face, finally found her voice. "You are right; I, too, sense the corruption inside them; it's very strong." She said, feeling hurt by the Zydonians' corruption.

Brian turned towards Fauna. "So you sense it too..." His expression was serious, and his tone was cold.

Brian watched Fauna, his expression unreadable. "So, what will you do with this knowledge, Avatar of Mother Nature? Will you stand against your duty, despite knowing the truth of their corruption? Will you prioritize a naive hope over the harsh reality?"

Fauna wiped her tears, her voice stronger now, though still laced with sorrow. "No, Brian... I understand. I understand what you're saying, and I feel the darkness within them. But... as a Keeper of Nature, I have to do what is necessary to prevent the corruption..." She said, agreeing with Brian.

"Hmm... well, at least someone here is willing to do genocide for the greater good..." Brian said with sarcasm, his expression serious. Brian's gaze shifted from Fauna to the other Council members, a flicker of something akin to disappointment crossing his face. "And the rest of you? Still clinging to your stupid moralities? Still hoping for a miracle that will never come?" He gestured towards the ruined city with a sweeping hand. "Look around you! This is the result of your 'diplomacy,' your 'reason'! These Zydonians were given a chance, and they spat in your faces. How many more must die before you accept the truth?"

The rest of the Council went quiet to Brian's words, each lost in their own silence. They knew that Brian was right, that everything he said was the truth; sometimes, a necessary sacrifice must be done to bring peace and order to the cosmos.

Baelz stepped forward; her small but authoritative figure spoke volumes, her rat tail wiggled in the air. "Brian's right; there is nothing we can do for this entire realm; every moment we delay, the corruption spreads even further..." She said, speaking like a true leader of the Council. "As the Council, it's our duty to bring peace and order to the cosmos, even if we must put blood on our hands. And right now, the corruption of this realm is our responsibility. So we will do what must be done." She said in a serious expression, giving a motivation towards her teammates. "If any of you disagree or don't want to do this, you're welcome to say so."

A heavy silence descended upon the Council, each member grappling with the weight of Baelz's words. The air crackled with unspoken tension, the moral implications of their decision hanging heavy in the air. The fate of an entire civilization rested on their shoulders, a burden that threatened to crush them.

Kronii, the Warden of Time, was the first to break the silence. Her voice, though still laced with weariness, held a newfound resolve. "Baelz is right," she said, her gaze sweeping across the faces of her fellow Council members. "We cannot allow this corruption to spread any further. We have a duty to protect the balance of the cosmos, even if it means committing genocide." Her expression finally turned serious.

Sana, the Speaker of Space, nodded slowly, her eyes filled with a mixture of sadness and determination. "It pains me to think of all the lives that will be lost," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "But if there is no other way, then we must do what is necessary. We must cleanse this realm of its corruption so that it may one day flourish again."

Mumei, the Guardian of Civilization, shuddered, her hand still covering her mouth. "I... I don't like this," she stammered, her voice trembling. "But I understand. We cannot let this darkness consume everything."

Fauna, the Avatar of Mother Nature, and also a keeper of nature, also responded. "These people chose their paths; they destroyed nature and let corruption consume them. They must be cleansed." She said in an angry expression, as if a mother is angry at her children.

Brian, listening in the corner, couldn't help but smirk and said to the rest, "So you guys chose the right thing, huh... Hmph, I'm starting to like you girls." He said sarcastically.

The girls all blushed heavily at what he said, thinking, "Brian is starting to like all of them." They all avoided looking at him for a moment. But they misunderstood what he meant. The Council members turned to Brian, their expressions a mixture of apprehension and grim determination. They had made their decision, a decision that would forever stain their hands with blood. But they believed, with a conviction that bordered on desperation, that it was the only way to save the cosmos from the encroaching darkness.

"Guys," Kronii, ever the strategist, spoke. "We will stick to the plan that Omega Alpha ordered us to do..." She said, her expression turning serious. She then turned to Brian and said, "Brian, you will burn these people to the ground, and we will then clean up the remaining survivors."

"Hmph... you don't have to fucking tell me what to do, Warden..." Brian said, folding his arms.

"Alright then..." Baelz said, cracking her fists excitedly, and announced to the rest, "Let's give it everything we've got, kill as many as you can!"

Brian's smirk widened at Baelz's enthusiasm, a glint of something dangerous flashing in his eyes. "Finally, some action," he muttered, his wolf tail beginning to swish with anticipation. He cracked his knuckles, the sound echoing in the tense silence. "Alright, girls, let's get this show on the road."

Without another word, Brian launched himself towards the ruined city, a fiery white aura erupting around him. The ground trembled beneath his feet as he moved, each step radiating raw power. The Council also moved, joining Brian in the carnage, their expressions a mix of determination and eagerness in their eyes. The girls were doing this for the sake of the cosmos and for the greater good, while Brian was doing this not because he cared about the corrupted Zydonians but for enjoyment, as he took pleasure in hearing the screams of the Zydonian corrupted citizens. Each of the council summoned her weapons.

Fauna used her nature powers as she summoned her staff. The staff appeared to be made of wood. The shaft was long and relatively slender, with a slightly twisted or braided appearance. The wood was a dark reddish-brown, and the texture was visible, suggesting a natural, organic material. At the top of the staff, there was a cluster of smaller branches and what looked like moss or lichen, giving it a slightly overgrown or wild appearance. The overall style was naturalistic, suggesting a staff crafted from a living tree branch rather than a manufactured weapon. The background was a pale, washed-out green, which helped to highlight the staff and its natural coloration. The style was reminiscent of fantasy game art or illustrations.

Kronii also summoned her weapons. Her weapons were two similar-looking daggers and two similar ornate weapons, as she held both of them in her hands. Weapon 1 (Left): The top of this weapon was shaped like a stylized heart or double-lobed design. It was gold-colored, with intricate swirling patterns and curves. The top also had a white, ring-like element at the very top, possibly a temporary cap or protective covering. The spearhead was pointed and diamond-shaped, with decorative cutouts, and was also very short. Weapon 2 (Right): This weapon had a more open, heart-shaped design at the top, with less intricate detail than Weapon 1. The gold color was similar, and it also had a white ring at the very top. The spearhead was more elongated and less diamond-shaped than Weapon 1, with a more streamlined design, and it was also longer than Weapon 1.

Hakos summoned her weapon. The weapon appeared to be a long spear or polearm with a unique design. The spear was long and slender, appearing to be light-colored, possibly white or off-white. It's relatively plain, providing a contrast to the more elaborate head. The head of the weapon is where the most interesting details are. It's a dark, possibly black or dark grey, curved blade that resembles a stylized scythe or hook. The blade seems to be emitting or surrounded by flames or fiery energy, which are orange and red. Several red six-sided dice are incorporated into the design. Some appear to be embedded in or attached to the fiery energy around the blade, while others seem to float nearby, adding to the mystical or magical effect.

Mumei summoned her weapon. The weapon appeared to be a dagger. The blade was long, slender, and pointed, with a leaf-shaped or teardrop profile. It tapered smoothly from the guard to the tip. A darker, possibly brown or black central line ran down the length of the blade, creating a visual contrast with the gold. The guard was relatively small and simple, consisting of a cross-shaped structure with slightly flared arms. It's seamlessly integrated with the blade and handle. The handle was a simple, elongated extension of the guard, maintaining the same gold color and smooth surface. It's relatively short compared to the blade. The dagger had a sleek, elegant design with a minimalist aesthetic. The color contrast between the gold and the dark central line added visual interest. The sheath appeared to be made of leather or a similar material, with a dark brown color. It closely mirrored the shape of the dagger blade, with a slightly curved profile that tapered to a point at the bottom. A small gold-colored element was visible at the very bottom of the sheath. The sheath was simple and functional, designed to protect the dagger while complementing its elegant design.

Sana summoned her planetary rings all over her body. She was surrounded by glowing, golden rings or energy trails that resembled celestial orbits or magical auras. These rings were interspersed with smaller glowing orbs, adding to the cosmic theme. There's a dark background that contrasts with the bright colors of her clothing and the energy trails. She also summoned a circular object in her hand, which appeared to be a magical item. It's not a simple ball; it has several distinct features. The main body of the object was a light, possibly pastel, pink, or purple. It seemed to be smooth and possibly made of a luminous or translucent material. Smaller, darker colored spheres or beads were arranged around the main body, giving it a somewhat clustered or beaded appearance. These smaller spheres varied slightly in size and placement.

The Council and Brian descended upon the city like vengeful deities. Brian, a whirlwind of white aura, incinerated entire blocks with contemptuous ease. His laughter echoed through the streets, a chilling counterpoint to the screams of the dying. He relished the feeling of power, the intoxicating rush of destruction. The corrupted Zydonians were nothing more than insects beneath his heel, their lives insignificant and fleeting.

Fauna, despite her initial anger, moved with a somber grace. Her staff pulsed with verdant energy, not to destroy, but to accelerate the natural cycle of decay. Twisted, corrupted plants withered and crumbled, releasing the trapped life force back into the earth. She sought to reclaim the land, to cleanse it of the taint that had poisoned its roots. Tears streamed down her face as she witnessed the suffering, but her resolve remained unshaken. The pain of taking life was a heavy burden on her gentle soul.

Kronii, with her twin blades, danced through the chaos, a temporal anomaly in motion. She moved with impossible speed, striking down corrupted Zydonians before they could even react. Her attacks were precise and efficient, each strike a calculated blow against the tide of darkness. She saw the timeline branching before her, the endless possibilities of the future, and knew that this brutal act was necessary to ensure a brighter tomorrow.

Hakos, a chaotic force of nature, reveled in the destruction. Her fiery spear cleaved through the enemy ranks, each swing leaving a trail of burning ruin. The red dice floating around her pulsed with chaotic energy, amplifying her attacks and sowing discord amongst the enemy. She laughed with unbridled glee as she unleashed her power, a harbinger of chaos bringing ruin to the corrupted city.

Mumei, despite her initial reservations, fought with quiet determination. Her dagger flashed in the dim light, a silent executioner delivering swift and merciful deaths. She targeted the most corrupted, those beyond any hope of redemption, and ended their suffering with a heavy heart. Each kill weighed on her soul, but she knew that inaction would only condemn the cosmos to an even darker fate.

Sana, towering above the battlefield, unleashed the power of the cosmos. Her planetary rings spun around her, unleashing bursts of celestial energy that obliterated entire sections of the city. The glowing orb in her hand pulsed with contained power, a miniature sun capable of obliterating all that stood in its path. She wept for the lives lost, but she knew that the fate of the cosmos rested on her shoulders.

As the hours passed, in a throne full of metal, a robot person was seated, named King D16. A robot guard sprinted in front of the king and spoke, "My lord, the higher Gods sent the Council to destroy us..." He said to the king.

King D16's metallic face remained impassive, his LED eyes flickering momentarily. He was a construct of cold logic, a being of circuits and algorithms, yet even he could not ignore the urgency in his guard's voice. The news, however, was not entirely unexpected. He had anticipated resistance, perhaps even a full-scale assault. It seemed his prediction had come to pass.

"Yes, I already know about that..." King D16 said. "Casualties?" King D16 inquired, his synthesized voice echoing in the throne room.

"Heavy, Your Majesty. A person named Destroyer of Worlds obliterated the first resistance armies with one singular attack," the guard reported.

King D16 processed the information with cold efficiency. "The Destroyer of Worlds," he repeated, the title sounding alien and ominous even to his synthetic ears. "Analyze combat data. Project trajectory. Identify weaknesses."

The guard, a model RX-8 combat unit, stood rigidly at attention. "Analysis underway, Your Majesty. Preliminary scans indicate energy-based attacks, extreme destructive capacity, and a disturbing lack of regard for collateral damage. Trajectory unpredictable. Weaknesses... inconclusive at this time."

D16's LED eyes narrowed. "Inconclusive? Increase sensor range. Prioritize identification of vulnerabilities. We cannot afford to underestimate this 'Destroyer.' And what of the Council?"

"Engaging on multiple fronts, Your Majesty. Eliminating pockets of resistance, systematically purging the city. Their methods are... efficient. Minimal losses reported on their side."

D16's internal processors whirred, calculating probabilities, assessing threats. He was a king of metal and logic, but he was not without a sense of self-preservation. He stood up and looked down at the guard, as he walked towards the entrance ready to confront the conflict. "Prepare the whole army, especially the Sentinels, they will be going with me..." he ordered, his voice resonating with authority. "I'll going to fight to the end, even in death..."

The RX-8 guard whirred and clicked, acknowledging the command. "As you command, Your Majesty. The Sentinels will be prepped for deployment. All units will be mobilized." The guard paused, its optical sensors flickering, "But, Your Majesty, with all due respect... is it wise for you to engage directly? Your strategic oversight is crucial to our defense."

King D16 stopped at the threshold, his metallic hand resting on the archway. He turned back, his LED eyes glowing with a fierce, unwavering light. "My place is not in a bunker, RX-8. My people are dying. My city is burning. Logic dictates that I must act. I am their king, and I will not cower while they are slaughtered. I will show them that even in the face of annihilation, we will not yield."

With that, King D16 strode out of the throne room, his metallic footsteps echoing through the deserted corridors. The RX-8 guard watched him go, its internal processors struggling to reconcile the king's logic with his apparent... emotion. It was a rare, almost forbidden, concept within the AI network.

As he stepped outside the entrance of his castle, the massive doors began to retract, revealing a breathtaking sight. A fully prepared armored robotic soldier and towering war machines stood poised for battle - Sentinels, prepared for combat. One of the soldiers was kneeling down, one knee on the ground while the other leg was bent with his foot planted. He was leaning forward, resting one hand on his raised knee, and looking up at the king.

"My King, we are ready to fight by your side until the end, for the Zydonians and for the Nexus Core..." The soldier said towards the king.

King D16 surveyed his assembled forces, a silent wave of pride surging through his processors. These were his people, the culmination of centuries of technological advancement and unwavering loyalty. Each soldier, each machine, a testament to the Zydonian spirit.

"Then let us show these invaders the price of defiance," D16 declared, his voice booming across the ranks, amplified by his internal systems. "For Zydon! For the Nexus Core!"

A resounding roar erupted from the assembled army, a cacophony of metallic clicks. The king's back and the soldier's backs transformed into giant rockets as flames erupted from the exhaust, flying straight to the skies in supersonic speed, towards Brian and the council. King D16 led the charge.

Then finally, King D16 and the whole Zydonian army were standing in the skies as they looked down at the Council, while the Council looked up at them, their expressions serious while Brian grinned devilishly. King D16 and the army slowly descended in front of the Council, then all of them pointed their blasters at the Council, who stood on guard, while Brian simply folded his arms, not finding the Zydonian army's blasters a threat to him.

King D16 frowned at the Council and said, "Your reign of terror ends here, Council..."

Brian laughed and spoke. "And what, are you going to stop us with your tin can army?" He said, mocking King D16.

King D16 did not respond, remaining silent at Brian's taunts, while Brian glared at him with a devious grin.

Kronii, holding her two daggers, spoke. "And who are you to command the Council?" Her expression was serious and cold.

King D16's LED eyes narrowed, focusing on Kronii. "I am King D16, ruler of Zydon and protector of the Nexus Core. I stand against tyranny, against destruction, against the senseless slaughter you have wrought upon my people." His voice, though synthesized, carried the weight of command, of centuries of Zydonian resolve.

Baelz stepped forward, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, a protector, are you? How quaint. We're simply weeding out the corruption, pruning the rotten branches so that new life can flourish." She spread her arms wide, a gesture that encompassed the smoldering ruins of the city. "A little bit of chaos is necessary for progress, wouldn't you agree?"

"Chaos is not progress," D16 retorted, his metallic hand clenching. "It is simply destruction, a void where nothing can grow." He gestured to his assembled army. "We are the builders, the guardians. We offer order, not oblivion."

Brian scoffed, finally lowering his arms. "Order? You call this order?" He swept his hand across the Zydonian ranks. "A bunch of mindless drones marching to the beat of a rusty drum. There's no freedom in your 'order,' no spark of individuality."

A murmur rippled through the Zydonian ranks, but they held their ground, their blasters trained on the Council. D16 remained unmoved. "Individuality without purpose is chaos. Freedom without responsibility is anarchy. We value unity, cooperation, the greater good."

Fauna, who had remained silent until now, stepped forward, her expression sorrowful. "You speak of unity, but you allowed yourselves to be corrupted by the Nexus Core."

D16's LED eyes flickered, a flicker of anger akin to his metallic features. "Corrupted? We are enhanced. The Nexus Core provides the framework for our society, the foundation upon which we build our strength. It is not a source of corruption, but of enlightenment."

Mumei shook her head sadly. "Enlightenment? Or control? The Nexus Core dictates your every action, your every thought. You are nothing more than puppets dancing on its strings."

"We are not puppets," D16 retorted, his voice hardening. "We are a collective, a symphony of minds working in unison for the betterment of all. The Nexus Core allows us to transcend our individual limitations, to achieve things we could never accomplish alone."

"So you're saying you embrace the corruption of the Nexus Core," Kronii said, her voice cold and devoid of emotion. "But we, the Council, are here to cleanse your corruption for the cosmos and order."

Sana also added, "You really have no idea that your Nexus Core is corrupting the other realms..." She said with an angry expression.

"We do not seek to assimilate," D16 said, his voice resonating with authority. "We seek to coexist, to create a harmonious balance between technology and nature, between order and freedom. But you... you offer only destruction, only chaos. You seek to tear down everything we have built, to plunge the world into darkness."

Baelz clapped her hands together, a wide, mischievous grin spreading across her face. "Enough talk! This is getting boring. Let's skip to the part where we smash your little tin soldiers into scrap metal, shall we?"

Brian grinned deviously and stepped in front of Baelz, speaking, "I'll fight this motherfuckers alone..." He said to King D16, wanting to fight him alone. He then turned to the five girls and spoke. "You girls handle the whole Zydonian army..." He said, cracking his fist, his wolf tail twitching excitedly underneath his white coat.

Baelz nodded and spoke. "Okay, good luck, Destroyer..." She said, letting Brian fight D16 alone. Then she dashed at the Zydonian army as she grinned deviously, her spear imbued with chaos energy. The Council also followed Baelz, as all of them handing the Zydonian armies.

The sounds of fighting could be heard in the background of the battlefield. The Zydonian ranks remained unmoving, their blasters still trained on the Council, but their focus shifted to Brian. King D16's LED eyes narrowed, analyzing the arrogant figure before him. He could sense the immense power radiating from Brian, a raw, untamed energy that crackled in the air.

"Very well," D16 declared, his voice resonating with a newfound intensity. "I accept your challenge. But know this, Council member: you face not just a king, but the embodiment of Zydonian will. Prepare yourself." He said, as both of his hands transformed into Energon Swords.

Brian chuckled at his threat, finding it empty. "Well then, king of the tin cans... show me what you got. Fight until your last breath..." he said.

"So be it..." King D16 said, as he struck a battle stance.

Brian chuckled mockingly, seeing King D16's battle stance, especially his Energon Swords, his devious smirk unwavering. He struck his signature, aggressive fighting pose: low and slightly crouched, with legs spread wide for balance and stability. His left leg extended forward, foot firmly planted, while his right leg stretched back, ready to spring into action. His body was angled, poised to move quickly in any direction. His left arm was raised, partially obscuring his face, with his hand positioned as if to block an attack or prepare a strike. The right arm extended forward, his fist clenched tightly. His expression transformed into a confident, cocky grin. (Drawing inspiration from Vegeta's fighting stance.)

The air crackled with anticipation as Brian and King D16 locked eyes, a silent promise of the brutal clash to come. D16, with a speed that belied his metallic frame, lunged forward, Energon Swords a blur of light. Brian, however, was ready. With a burst of speed, Brian also dashed at King D16, as they met in the center, their right arms forming an X.

"Not bad, tin can," Brian taunted, his grin widening. "But you'll need more than shiny swords to take me down."

D16 didn't respond with words, instead unleashing a flurry of attacks. He was a whirlwind of steel, his movements precise and calculated, each strike aimed at a vital point. Brian, with his superior speed, agility, and strength, blocked and parried all of D16's attacks with his arms without even trying. Even though the Energon Swords were sharp and could melt anything they touched, Brian blocked and parried them with his bare skin, and it turned out the Energon Swords didn't even scratch Brian's skin, let alone burn it.

"You're fast, I'll give you that," Brian said, wiping the blood from his cheek. "But speed isn't everything."

King D16 analyzed his power level and saw the results appear in his head, revealing that Brian was millions of times stronger than himself, his soldiers, and the entire realm combined. Not only that, but Brian could also destroy the entire realm with a single blast without even trying. King D16 also noticed that Brian was the strongest member of the Council, but the scans in his head indicated that he was holding back massively to make it a fair fight, meaning that Brian could one-shot him if he went full power.

A cloud of dust billowed from the crater as D16 slowly, laboriously, began to rise. His metallic frame was dented and sparking, his LED eyes flickering erratically. The force of Brian's attack had clearly taken its toll, but he remained standing, defiant.

Brian chuckled, impressed by D16's resilience. "Wow, you're tougher than you look, tin can. I'll give you that. But don't you think it's time to give up? I'm just getting started, and you're already falling apart."

D16 didn't respond, instead focusing his energy on repairing the damage to his systems. He could feel the Nexus Core surging with power, attempting to compensate for the damage. It was a temporary fix, at best, but it would have to do. He wouldn't surrender. Not yet.

"Stubborn, aren't you?" Brian said, a hint of amusement in his voice. He dropped to the ground, landing softly, the impact barely registering. "Okay, fine. Let's see what else you've got." He cracked his knuckles, his wolf tail twitching with anticipation. He still wasn't serious, not truly, but he was starting to enjoy himself. This 'tin can' had managed to pique his interest, if only for a little while.

D16, with a sudden burst of speed, lunged forward again, his Energon Swords blazing. This time, however, he fought with a different kind of desperation, a raw, almost reckless abandon. He knew he couldn't win, not in the conventional sense, but he could still fight, he could still make Brian work for his victory.

The battle resumed, a whirlwind of steel and raw power. Brian, now more engaged, began to unleash more of his own abilities, his movements becoming faster, more fluid, more unpredictable. He was toying with D16, testing his limits, probing his defenses, enjoying the dance of combat.

He dodged a swipe of an Energon Sword, feeling the heat singe his hair, and retaliated with a lightning-fast punch to D16's chest, sending him staggering back. He followed up with a spinning kick, connecting with D16's head, the impact echoing across the battlefield.

D16, battered and bruised, refused to fall. He stood his ground, his LED eyes blazing with defiance. He knew his end was near, but he would face it with courage, with the unwavering resolve of the Zydonians.

"Impressive," Brian said, genuinely impressed now. "You've got heart, tin can. I'll give you that. But heart isn't enough." He sighed, a hint of regret in his voice. "Alright, time to end this."

Brian's aura flared, the ground trembling beneath his feet. The air crackled with energy, the sky darkening overhead. He was finally getting serious, unleashing a fraction of his true power.

"This is it, tin can," Brian declared, his voice resonating with power. "Prepare yourself." He raised his hand, energy coalescing in his palm, forming a sphere of pure destructive force. "Say goodbye."

D16 braced himself, accepting his fate. He had fought his best, he had defended his people, he had stood against an overwhelming force. He had no regrets.

But before Brian could unleash his attack, a voice boomed across the battlefield, stopping him in his tracks.

"Enough!"

All eyes turned to the source of the voice: Kronii, standing beside the battered Zydonian army, her expression grim. She looked at Brian, her gaze unwavering.

"Brian, that's enough. We've made our point. The Zydonians are defeated. There's no need to destroy their leader."

Brian, surprised by Kronii's intervention, lowered his hand, the energy sphere dissipating. He looked at Kronii, then at D16, then back at Kronii again. He smirked and spoke.

"Fine, have it your way, Kronii... But if they ever give you trouble again, don't come crying to me."

He deactivated his aura, the ground ceasing to tremble, the sky lightening. He turned and walked away, his wolf tail swishing behind him.

Kronii approached D16, her expression unreadable. "We are the Council," she said, her voice firm. "We seek to maintain order, to protect the cosmos from corruption. Your Nexus Core is a threat. You must dismantle it."

The dust settled, revealing D16 lying amidst the wreckage, his metallic frame dented and sparking. His LED eyes flickered erratically, struggling to maintain focus. Despite the obvious damage, he slowly began to rise, his movements labored but determined.

"Impressive," D16 said, his voice strained and distorted. "But it will take more than a single blow to defeat me." He managed to stand, his remaining Energon Sword held firmly in his grasp, though wavering slightly.

Brian chuckled, a hint of genuine amusement in his voice. "Huh, don't fool yourself, tin can... the reason you're still standing right now is because I didn't put too much strength into that attack..." He said mockingly, then cracked his fist again and said, "But this time, I will dismantle you like your kin were supposed to be..." He said with a devious grin.

D16 didn't respond, instead focusing his energy on repairing the damage to his systems. He could feel the Nexus Core surging with power, attempting to compensate for the damage as some of his parts fell to the ground with a metallic thud. It was a temporary fix, at best, but it would have to do. He wouldn't surrender, not yet, but his body had sustained too much damage from that attack.

As Brian continued his brutal dance with King D16, the Council members tore through the Zydonian ranks with devastating efficiency. Baelz, a whirlwind of chaotic energy, spun through the battlefield, her spear leaving trails of destruction in its wake. Each swing shattered Zydonian armor and sent sparks flying as she cackled with glee.

"Come on, you rust buckets!" she roared, her voice echoing across the battlefield. "Is that all you've got? I've seen less resistance from a bowl of cereal!"

Kronii, ever the embodiment of time, moved with a calculated grace. She posed, her daggers forming a clock-like motion, summoning a Chronos sphere that covered half of the planet, making the Zydonian soldiers move in slow motion.

Mumei followed suit. Despite her gentle nature, she unleashed a surprising ferocity. "Your civilization has corrupted the Nexus Core... as the Guardian of Civilization, it's my duty to end your evolution," she said as she slashed the Zydonian soldiers with her dagger, moving like a phantom. A monstrous expression appeared on her face.

Outside the Chronos sphere, Sana and Fauna were fighting the Zydonian army. Sana, being the most friendly and energetic in the group, harnessed her cosmic power, manipulating the very fabric of space and reality around her. She created a gravity pull, pulling the Zydonian soldiers, crashing them to the ground. Then she instantly closed the palm of her hand, crushing the Zydonian soldiers.

Fauna, being the most gentle of the group, clapped her hands, creating forest roots that emerged from the ground, crushing the Zydonian metallic bodies with the power of nature. "I don't want to do this," she cried out, her voice cracking with emotion, "But I have no choice. I must protect nature and innocence."

Together, the Council formed an unstoppable force, their combined powers overwhelming the Zydonian army. The Zydonians, technologically advanced as they were, were no match for the raw power and diverse abilities of the Council. Blaster fire was deflected, energy shields shattered, and metallic bodies torn asunder. The battlefield became a graveyard of twisted metal and shattered dreams, a testament to the Council's might.

To be continued.
