The first rays of dawn filtered through the window, casting a soft glow across Brian's face. He stirred, his eyes fluttering open, and for a moment, he was disoriented. The unfamiliar surroundings of his room in the Realm of the Gods slowly came into focus, reminding him of his new reality. He groaned, stretching his stiff limbs, and sat up on the edge of the bed. The memories of the previous day flooded back: the awkward introduction to the Council members, his harsh words, and the lingering feeling of isolation. He sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. He knew that his behaviour hadn't been ideal, but he couldn't bring himself to regret it. Protecting himself was all that mattered.
Brian glanced at the gauntlets and greaves lying on the floor, a stark reminder of the battles he had faced and a symbol of his life as a shinobi of the Hunter Blades and the Fist of Fury. He had always been a lone wolf, working alone as a mercenary for hire. But today, he was no longer just that mercenary, a shinobi without a master. He had a purpose now, as the Destroyer of Worlds. He reached for them, his fingers tracing the worn metal, each scratch and dent a testament to his past. As he strapped on the gauntlets, he felt a familiar surge of power coursing through his veins. He was the Destroyer of Worlds, seeking a worthy opponent. Without hesitation, he put on both his gauntlets and his greaves.
As Brian finished, he stood up and walked over to the window, gazing out at the breathtaking view. The swirling galaxies and celestial wonders seemed to mock his inner turmoil, their beauty a stark contrast to the darkness within him. He wondered what time it was, as he didn't want to be late for the meeting at the round table. He had a mission to complete, and he wouldn't let anything, or anyone, distract him. He turned away from the window and walked to the door, ready to go outside and start this first mission with the Council, his mind already planning for the day ahead.
As Brian opened the door and stepped out into the hallway, he was met with an unexpected sight. He saw the Council exiting their rooms at the same time as him. They stared at him, and he stared back. His frown returned, and the six of them exchanged glances. To the right of his room was Ceres Fauna's, to the left was Ouro Kronii's. Across from his room was Hakos Baelz's, across from Ceres Fauna's room was Nanashi Mumei's, and across from Ouro Kronii's room was Tsukumo Sana's.
Bae, ever the chaotic one, ran towards Brian with a big smile, her razor teeth glinting. "Good morning, Brian! How was your sleep?" she said, looking up at his towering height.
Brian's silence hung heavy in the air, a stark contrast to Bae's bubbly enthusiasm. He scrutinized her, his gaze sweeping over her playful grin and the mischievous glint in her eyes. He didn't trust easily, and this Council, with all their strange powers and enigmatic agendas, was a minefield of potential betrayal.
Bae tilted her head, her smile not faltering in the face of Brian's stoicism. "Cat got your tongue, big guy?" she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Or maybe you're just not a morning person?"
Brian remained silent, his frown unwavering as he looked down at her. "Speak," he finally rumbled, his voice low and laced with a barely suppressed growl. "What the fuck do you want?"
Bae's smile faltered, but only for a fraction of a second. She tilted her head, her expression turning almost coy. "Just being friendly, Destroyer," she chirped. "We're all on the same team now, aren't we? Besides," she added with a sly wink, "I was hoping to get some insight into that brooding exterior of yours. What makes the Destroyer of Worlds tick?"
Brian, still looking down at her, raised his eyebrows, still carrying that angry expression. "That doesn't fucking concern you, Miss Chaos," he said in a calm but cold tone.
Baelz pouted cutely and spoke. "Oh, come on, Destroyer. Don't be such a grump. We're all on the same team now, aren't we?" she said, looking directly at him. Before Brian could even consider a response – not that he was planning one – another voice cut through the silence.
The other Council members, who had been observing the interaction from a distance, began to approach. "Bae, leave the poor man alone," Kronii said, a hint of amusement in her tone. She approached, her presence radiating a quiet authority. "Give him a chance to wake up properly. Good morning, Brian."
Brian's gaze flickered to Kronii. Her measured demeanor was a stark contrast to Bae's manic energy. He didn't respond, only folded his arms silently, as the rest of the Council slowly approached him.
Kronii looked at Brian with a serious expression and spoke. "We were just on our way to the meeting," Kronii continued, gesturing towards the others. "Are you ready to join us?"
Brian didn't respond, only glared at Kronii with an angry expression. He turned around and walked past the five of them, heading straight to the round table hall. His white coat and his long wolf-tail wiggled through the air.
The silence that followed Brian was thick with unspoken tension. Kronii's eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of annoyance crossing her usually composed features. Bae, however, seemed unfazed, a mischievous glint returning to her eyes.
"Well, isn't he just a ray of sunshine?" she chirped, earning a sharp look from Kronii. "Don't worry so much, Kronii. He'll come around... eventually."
Kronii sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Let's just get to the meeting," she said, her voice laced with a hint of weariness. "We don't have time for his theatrics."
The Council members exchanged glances before falling into step behind Brian, their footsteps echoing softly in the grand hallway. Fauna, ever the gentle soul, couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Brian. She understood his initial reluctance, his distrust. After all, he was a warrior, a survivor, thrust into a world of gods and cosmic entities.
"Perhaps we should try to understand him better," she suggested softly, her voice barely audible above the rhythmic cadence of their footsteps.
Mumei, who had been silently observing the unfolding drama, nodded in agreement. "He's been through a lot," she murmured, her eyes filled with a quiet understanding. "We shouldn't judge him too harshly."
Sana, ever the optimistic one, chimed in, "I'm sure he'll warm up to us eventually! We just need to give him time."
Baelz, however, had a different perspective. "Or maybe we just need to find the right buttons to push," she said with a sly grin, earning a collective groan from the other Council members.
As they approached the round table hall, the doors swung open with a resounding boom, revealing a vast chamber bathed in ethereal light. The round table, crafted from shimmering celestial metal, stood at the center of the room, its surface swirling with constellations and nebulae. Brian entered first, followed by the rest of the Council.
Then a voice spoke to them. They all turned and saw Omega Alpha seated in a judge's chair. "Finally, you're all here. Now we can start our mission..." Omega Alpha said to the rest of the Council with a stoic expression.
The Council members took their designated seats around the table, the celestial metal cool beneath their touch. Hakos Baelz was seated at the head, as she was the leader of the Council. Kronii was seated on her left, and Mumei was seated on Hakos' right side. Fauna was seated to Kronii's left, and Sana was seated to Mumei's right. Brian was seated at the bottom, to Fauna's right and Sana's left, facing Hakos.
Brian leaned back in his seat with a serious expression on his face, as he folded his arms and remained silent, waiting for the briefing of the mission to start. Hakos Baelz, being the most energetic of the group, spoke. "So, Miss Omega, what is our mission today?"
Omega Alpha steepled her fingers, her gaze sweeping across the assembled Council members. "As you know," she began, her voice resonating with authority, "the balance of the realms is constantly under threat. There are forces at play that seek to unravel the very fabric of existence."
She paused, allowing her words to sink in before continuing. "Our intelligence has uncovered an anomaly in the Nexus of Realities, a convergence point where the boundaries between dimensions are weakening. This destabilization could lead to catastrophic consequences, allowing malevolent entities to cross over and wreak havoc."
Kronii leaned forward, her expression serious. "What is the nature of this anomaly?" she inquired, her voice sharp and analytical.
Omega Alpha tapped a series of commands on the holographic display embedded in the judge's chair. A complex projection materialized above the round table, showcasing a swirling vortex of chaotic energies.
"This is Aethelgard, a realm of the Zydonians, a technologically advanced race with a rigid social hierarchy and a thirst for conquest," she said to the Council. "Because of their use of technologies, they were killing the livestock and nature on their planets."
"Their disregard for natural balance has created a ripple effect, weakening the dimensional fabric," Omega Alpha continued, her voice grim. "The Zydonians, in their relentless pursuit of technological advancement, have unknowingly opened a gateway to a realm of pure chaos. This gateway, if left unchecked, will allow entities of unimaginable power to pour into Aethelgard, and eventually, into other realms as well."
Brian shifted in his seat, his eyes narrowed. "What kind of entities are we talking about?" He asked, his voice a low rumble. "Demons? Angels? Rogue Gods? Something else entirely?"
Omega Alpha's gaze met his. "Something else entirely, Destroyer. Entities that predate creation itself. Beings of pure entropy, whose very existence threatens to unravel the threads of reality."
A hush fell over the round table as the gravity of the situation sank in. Even Hakos Baelz, usually brimming with energy, seemed subdued by the weight of Omega Alpha's words.
"Our mission," Omega Alpha declared, her voice regaining its authoritative tone, "is to stabilize the Nexus of Realities and prevent these entities from crossing over. You all must travel to Aethelgard and convince the inhabitants to stop what they're doing, or there will be consequences." She said with a cold expression.
A palpable tension filled the room. Even Baelz seemed to have lost her usual playful demeanor. Omega Alpha turned her attention to Brian, her gaze lingering on his stoic face. "Destroyer," she said, her voice softening slightly. "Your unique abilities and combat prowess will be invaluable on this mission." Brian remained silent, his arms still folded, his gaze fixed on the holographic projection of Aethelgard and towards Omega Alpha.
"Brian, you will go to the core center of Aethelgard, where their largest civilization resides, which houses the brains of their operations, and pacify the inhabitants along the way, burning them to the ground if they resist." She instructed Brian on his mission. Then she turned to the five and spoke, "The rest of you will follow behind and clean up the surviving rubble..." She said in a cold tone, her expression stoic.
The Council members' expressions turned serious as they heard what they were supposed to do. They knew what must be done in order to protect what is necessary. Brian, however, only smirked deviously, already liking the mission.
Kronii, ever the pragmatist, spoke first, breaking the heavy silence. "What are the Zydonians' capabilities? What defenses do they possess that we should be aware of?"
Omega Alpha nodded, appreciating Kronii's focus. "The Zydonians are masters of technology, wielding energy weapons, advanced robotics, and sophisticated shielding systems. Their cities are heavily fortified, and their military is highly disciplined. However," she added, a hint of caution in her voice, "their reliance on technology is also their weakness. A targeted disruption of their networks could cripple their defenses."
Fauna, her gentle nature evident even in this tense setting, raised a hand. "Is there no other way? Must we resort to violence? Can't we negotiate with them, convince them to change their ways before it's too late?"
Omega Alpha looked at Fauna and spoke. "I'm not saying that you should engage in violence right away. I was saying that 'IF' only they resist, then that's how you all do what must be done."
A glimmer of hope flickered in Fauna's eyes, but Omega Alpha's next words extinguished it. "However, the Zydonians are notoriously stubborn and set in their ways. They are convinced that their technological advancements are the key to their survival and prosperity. They are unlikely to listen to reason, especially from outsiders."
Baelz, ever the pragmatist despite her chaotic tendencies, chimed in, "So, we try the nice route first, and if that doesn't work... We bring the boom. Got it." She cracked her knuckles, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.
Mumei, her gaze distant and filled with ancient knowledge, spoke softly, "The Zydonians' arrogance blinds them to the consequences of their actions. They have forgotten the delicate balance of nature, and they will pay the price."
Sana, radiating optimism, added, "But we can still try! We can show them the error of their ways, guide them back to the path of harmony."
Omega Alpha sighed, a hint of weariness in her voice. "I admire your idealism, Council members. But do not underestimate the Zydonians' stubbornness. Be prepared for resistance, and do not hesitate to use force if necessary. The fate of the realms depends on your success."
She turned her attention back to the holographic projection, zooming in on a specific location within Aethelgard. "This is the Nexus Core, the heart of the Zydonian network and the source of the anomaly. It is heavily guarded, but it is also the key to stabilizing the dimensional fabric."
"Destroyer," she said, her gaze locking with Brian's, "your primary objective is to reach the Nexus Core and disable it. The rest of the Council will provide support and deal with any resistance you encounter along the way."
Brian, his expression unreadable, simply nodded in acknowledgment. He was ready. The thrill of battle, the challenge of facing a worthy opponent, coursed through his veins. He was the Destroyer of Worlds, and he would not fail.
Brian cracked his knuckles, a predatory grin spreading across his face. "Consider it done," he said, his voice dripping with anticipation. "And what measures are we authorized to take? Are there any restrictions on our methods?"
"You are granted full autonomy," Omega Alpha replied, her gaze sweeping across the Council. "Use whatever means necessary to achieve your objective. But remember," she added, her voice hardening, "failure is not an option." As Brian heard this, his devious smirk turned to a devilish grin.
As the Council members rose from their seats, a sense of duty settled upon them. They were about to embark on a mission that would test their resolve, their morality, and their very understanding of what it meant to be a guardian of the cosmos. The path ahead was shrouded in uncertainty, and the consequences of their actions would reverberate throughout the Nexus for generations to come. Outside the round table hall, they gathered in the grand hallway, their faces etched with concern and uncertainty.
Fauna was the first to speak, her voice barely a whisper. "So guys, does any of you have a plan on how to approach this?" She said in a calm tone.
Kronii, ever the strategist, stepped forward, her expression thoughtful. "Omega Alpha mentioned that disrupting their networks could cripple their defenses. I can focus on that. If I can create enough chaos in their systems, it will make it easier for Brian to reach the Nexus Core."
Baelz grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Chaos is my middle name! I can help you with that, Kronii. A little digital mayhem never hurt anyone... except maybe the Zydonians."
Mumei nodded in agreement. "While you two are causing a ruckus in their systems, I can try to locate any hidden weaknesses or vulnerabilities in their defenses. My knowledge of ancient technologies might come in handy."
Sana, ever the optimist, chimed in, "And I can focus on trying to communicate with the Zydonians, see if there's anyone who's willing to listen to reason. Maybe we can find a way to resolve this without resorting to violence."
All eyes turned to Brian, who had been silently observing the discussion. He finally spoke, his voice a low rumble, but with a cold tone. "I don't care what you girls are planning, as long as I can kill someone... that is enough for me..." He said in a cold tone.
Fauna, ever the peacekeeper, frowned slightly. "Brian, please... try to remember that violence should be a last resort. We're trying to save these people, not slaughter them."
Brian scoffed, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. "Save them? Tch... You might have forgotten that I'm a Destroyer of Worlds, not a Savior of Worlds? I don't fucking save lives, I take them..." He said with a devilish grin. "And I don't care if these motherfuckers can be redeemed or not, I will do what I'm supposed to do, and nothing can stop me, not the fucking higher Gods and not even all of you." He said towards the rest of the Council in a sadistic tone, his devilish grin didn't disappear.
A chilling silence descended upon the group, broken only by the faint hum of the Realm of the Gods. The Council members exchanged uneasy glances, each grappling with Brian's stark declaration. Fauna's frown deepened, a palpable sadness in her eyes, while Kronii's expression remained stoic, though a subtle tightening of her jaw betrayed her disapproval. Baelz, surprisingly, was the first to break the tension, her usual mischievous glint replaced with a more serious demeanor.
"Alright, alright, let's not get our panties in a twist," Hakos said, clapping her hands together. "We all know Brian has a... unique approach to problem-solving. But we also know that Omega Alpha chose him to become a Destroyer of Worlds. He's damn good at what he does, and right now, we need that."
Kronii, ever the composed one, stepped forward, her gaze unwavering. "Brian, your... enthusiasm is appreciated, but understand that this mission requires more than brute force. We need to be strategic, efficient, and, yes, even compassionate. Lives are at stake, and while you may relish the act of destruction, remember that we are here to prevent a greater catastrophe."
Baelz, despite her love for chaos, nodded in agreement. "Kronii's right, Brian. This isn't just about smashing things. We need to be smart about this. Besides," she added with a sly wink, "a little finesse can make the chaos even more fun."
Mumei, her voice soft but firm, added, "We all have our roles to play. Brian, your strength and combat skills are essential, but please, try to keep an open mind. There may be more to this situation than meets the eye."
Sana, ever the optimist, placed a gentle hand on Brian's arm. "We know you're a warrior, Brian, but we also believe that there's good in you. Please, give us a chance to show you that there's more to life than destruction."
Brian scoffed, finding what they said about him was false. "Huh... then I guess you all mistake me, the kindness in my heart already died a long time ago. I'm no longer that person anymore."
Brian's words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the darkness that resided within him. The Council members exchanged glances, a shared understanding passing between them. They knew that changing Brian's core nature was a battle they were unlikely to win, but they could still try to guide his actions, to channel his destructive tendencies towards a greater good.
Kronii, ever the pragmatist, spoke first, breaking the tense silence. "Brian, we understand your... preferences. But we need you to focus on the objective. Disrupting the Nexus Core is paramount. Minimize collateral damage, if possible, but do what you must."
Baelz chimed in, a mischievous glint returning to her eyes. "Yeah, Destroyer, think of it as a game! How many Zydonians can you 'pacify' while still getting the job done? Make it a challenge!"
Mumei, her gaze still soft but firm, added, "And remember, Brian, every life you take has consequences. The echoes of your actions will ripple through the realms. Choose your battles wisely."
Sana, undeterred by Brian's cynicism, squeezed his arm gently. "We believe in you, Brian. We know you can do this. Just... try to remember that there's always a choice."
Brian remained silent for a moment, his expression unreadable. He looked at each of the Council members, his eyes lingering on Sana's hopeful gaze. A flicker of something unidentifiable crossed his face before it was quickly replaced by his usual devilish grin.
"Fine, fine," Brian said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I'll try to play nice... for you girls. But don't expect me to hold back too much. After all, what's the fun in being a Destroyer if you don't destroy anything?" He said, as he shrugged Sana's hands away from his shoulder. "But before that... I have something to say to all of you..." Brian said as his serious expression returned. As he walked towards the Council with an intimidating aura behind him.
The Council members tensed as Brian approached, his predatory gaze sweeping over them. His imposing figure and the aura of barely restrained power sent a shiver down their spines. Even Kronii, who rarely showed fear, felt a flicker of unease. The air thrummed with unspoken tension, a palpable sense of danger emanating from the Destroyer. They all walked backwards until the five Council members' backs hit the wall.
Brian, seeing that they had nowhere to go, smirked devilishly and stood in front of them. He slammed his left hand on the wall underneath their heads, leaning closer to their faces. All of the Council members, noticing what Brian was doing, blushed heavily, as Brian was very close to the five of them, as they could almost touch his muscles. Their hearts pounded, not because they were scared of him, even if they knew that he was stronger than all of them combined. They blushed because of his handsome appearance and muscular physique, but they remained silent and stared directly at his eyes.
Brian spoke, his devious grin still on his face. "I don't like people standing in my way, especially when I'm doing what I'm tasked to do. Of course, if you want to see my bad side." He said towards them, looking them dead in the eyes one by one. "And I suggest you all not slow me down, okay, because if you do, I will leave you all to die, do I fucking make myself clear..." He said in a low but intimidating tone, his devious grin didn't disappear.
A collective shiver ran down their spines, not entirely from fear. Brian's nearness was… unnerving. His raw power radiated off him in waves, mixing with an unexpected heat that made their faces flush.
Kronii, ever the composed one, found her carefully constructed facade cracking. She swallowed, meeting his gaze with a forced calm. "Perfectly clear, Destroyer," she said, her voice a touch breathier than she intended.
Baelz, never one to be intimidated, lifted her chin, though a faint pink dusted her cheeks. "We're not planning on slowing you down, hotshot. Just try not to break everything too badly."
Sana, usually the most grounded of the group, found herself staring at the defined muscles of Brian's arm, pressed against the wall. She quickly averted her gaze, her heart hammering against her ribs. "We understand the stakes," she mumbled, her voice uncharacteristically quiet.
Mumei, despite her anxieties, felt a strange thrill coursing through her. Brian was terrifying, yes, but there was also something undeniably… captivating about his raw intensity. "We… we'll do our best," she stammered, her eyes wide.
Fauna, the most sensitive of the group, felt a wave of conflicting emotions wash over her. Brian's words were harsh, his methods brutal, but there was also a vulnerability beneath the surface, a pain that resonated with her compassionate heart. "Y-yes, we promised that, Brian," She whispered, her eyes pleading. "Just… try to remember that there are innocent lives at stake."
Brian chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that vibrated through the small space, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with Fauna's words. He finally pulled away, his eyes lingering on each of them. He straightened up, the devious grin still plastered on his face. "Good," he said, his voice returning to its usual gravelly tone. As he turned and glanced back at the girls, he spoke. "Now let's go, I don't want to be late for our first mission." He said, his devious grin didn't disappear.
With a final lingering smirk, Brian started to walk into the entrance, his footsteps echoing in the sudden silence, his hands in his pockets. The Council members remained pressed against the wall, their breaths coming in ragged gasps, their faces flushed, and their hearts still beating fast. The encounter had left them shaken, a stark reminder of the unpredictable force they were about to embark with. They tried to calm themselves and pushed themselves from the wall and followed behind Brian's back, but they all remained silent.
Baelz was the first to break the spell, speaking to the rest of her teammates. "Well," she said, her voice a little too loud, "that was... intense." She attempted a playful wink, but it fell flat.
Kronii nodded slowly, regaining her composure. "Indeed. He is certainly... direct." She straightened her robes, her movements precise and deliberate, a way of reasserting control.
Sana took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. "We need to focus," she said, her voice firm. "We can't let Brian's... intensity distract us from our goal." She said, as she slammed the butt of her hand into her face, trying to calm herself.
Mumei, still slightly breathless, nodded in agreement. "Right. Aethelgard. The rift. Diplomacy." She recited the words like a mantra, trying to ground herself.
Fauna, her eyes still wide with a mixture of fear and concern, stepped forward. "We have to reach out to him," she said softly. "We have to try to understand him, to show him that there's another way."
Kronii placed a reassuring hand on Fauna's arm. "We will, Fauna. But first, we need to focus on the mission. We can't save anyone if we fail to stabilize the rift."
Brian on the other hand, completely heard what they were saying, but he ignored it as he is more focused on their mission than their opinion of him. His devious smirk disappeared and turned to a serious expression.
With a shared sense of purpose, the Council members all walked behind Brian, their steps measured and determined. They might disagree with his brutal methods, and he might be heartless. But they hate to admit, he is very attractive to their eyes. He has that dominating aura, that can make a woman submit to his will, he is an Alpha male among men.
But little did the girls know, they misunderstood what Brian did. They thought he was trying to flirt with them, and thought that was his way to flirt with a woman. But no, Brian didn't mean to "rizz" them, nor is he interested in flirting with them. He pinned them to the wall to emphasize what he said to them earlier and try to intimidate them, but it didn't work as it made them blush instead of being scared. They walked towards the portal chamber, their minds racing with the challenges that lay ahead.
Hours later, the Council stood before the shimmering portal leading to Aethelgard. Baelz, being the leader of the team, cracked her knuckles excitedly. "Alright, everyone, let's move out!" Baelz called, her voice laced with a nervous energy. "Remember the plan, and stay together!" All of the Council nodded except Brian, who didn't care.
One by one, the Council members stepped through the portal, leaving behind the familiar comfort of the Realm of the Gods and venturing into the unknown dangers of Aethelgard. As they stepped through the portal, they landed in a desert-like wasteland that was far from any cities, with some alien plants on the sides. All of them glanced at their surroundings, trying to understand where they were.
The dry, hot air hit them like a wall, and the relentless sun beat down upon their faces. The landscape was desolate, with cracked earth stretching as far as the eye could see, dotted with strange, thorny vegetation that seemed to writhe in the heat. The sky was a hazy orange, and a fine layer of dust coated everything.
Mumei, looking at her surroundings, spoke. "Where are we..." Mumei said, wanting to know where they were.
Kronii, ever the observant one, immediately began scanning the horizon. "This is definitely Aethelgard," she said drily, her eyes narrowed. "From what I can tell, we all landed in a desert-like area... away from civilizations..."
Baelz, despite her initial enthusiasm, couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. "Well, this is just peachy," she muttered. "I was hoping for a slightly less... apocalyptic reception."
Mumei, her gaze distant, seemed to be lost in thought. "This land... it feels ancient," she murmured. "There's a deep sadness here, a sense of loss."
Sana, ever the optimist, tried to put on a brave face. "Well, at least it's not raining," she said, forcing a smile. "And look, there's some interesting plant life! Maybe we can learn something from it."
Fauna, being a keeper of nature, her sensitive nature on high alert, felt a pang of sympathy for the desolate landscape. "This land has suffered," she said softly. "We need to be mindful of our impact here."
Brian, as usual, remained silent, his eyes scanning the surroundings with a predatory intensity. He then sensed something because of his chakra mastery. As he looked to his left side, staring in one direction, he sensed some life force in the direction he was looking at.
The five girls noticed Brian staring in the middle of nowhere and wondered what was wrong. Sana decided to speak. "What's wrong, Brian? Is there something the matter?"
Brian didn't turn to face them, as he continued to look at the direction he was staring at, he raised his left hand and pointed his index finger and spoke. "Over there, I sense people in that direction..." he said in a serious expression on his face.
All of the girls were surprised as Brian said that he sensed someone; they thought that he might have some sensing technique since he is a shinobi.
Fauna nodded, as being a keeper of nature and Avatar of Mother Nature, she could also sense someone as well. "I agree, I too sense some civilization in that location," she said softly.
Baelz, still surprised, spoke in an intrigued tone. "Wow, Brian, how did you manage to do that? Do you have some kind of sensing technique?"
Brian ignored her and turned to all of the girls and spoke. "Can you all fly, right? Because if not, I'm not carrying all of you in that fucking direction..." He said in a serious expression.
Kronii, ever the practical one, adjusted her glasses. "Yes, we can all fly, Destroyer. It's a standard ability for Council members."
Baelz, not one to be ignored, pouted cutely. "Hey! I asked you a question, you know! A little acknowledgment would be nice!"
Brian rolled his eyes and face palmed. "Fine, Harbinger of Chaos. Yes, I can sense not just someone's energy, but also life force due to my chakra mastery..." He said with an annoyed face.
All of the girls were surprised about Brian mentioning chakra since they had never heard of that before. They only knew about Mana, as all of them use Mana in everything, even their own power sources are Mana.
Baelz, undeterred by Brian's annoyance, skipped closer to him, her tail swishing playfully. "Chakra mastery, huh? Sounds fancy! Can you teach me?" She asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Brian scoffed, turning towards Baelz. "Not a fucking chance. It's not something that can be learned overnight, nor do I have the time or patience to teach you," he said to Baelz in a cold tone.
Baelz deflated slightly, her usual bubbly demeanor dimming for a moment. "Aww, come on, Destroyer," she whined, "just a little peek? I bet I could pick it up real quick. I'm a fast learner!"
Brian remained unmoved, his expression unchanging. "Go fuck yourself..." He said to her coldly. "Now, are we going to stand around here all day, or are we going to get this mission done?" He turned his back on her, his white coat billowing slightly in the wind, his wolf-tail wiggling inside his white coat.
Baelz, undeterred by Brian's vulgarity, simply stuck her tongue out at his back, her mischievous glint returning. "Fine, be that way, grumpy pants," she muttered under her breath.
Kronii, ever the voice of reason, stepped forward, effectively diffusing the simmering tension. "Alright, let's not bicker," she said firmly, adjusting her glasses. "We have a mission to focus on. Brian, lead the way."
Without hesitation, Brian turned around to the direction where he sensed the city and flew towards it, as a white aura surrounded his body from head to toe, because he was using his chakra in flying. The Council followed behind him, but they didn't have an aura like Brian when they flew, as they were using flight magic. The girls noticed it and wondered if this might be Brian's chakra as he used it to fly, as they watched his white aura while he was flying.
As Brian soared through the hazy orange sky, his white aura a stark contrast to the desolate landscape below, the Council members followed, their gazes fixed on his flying form. The silence was broken only by the whooshing of the wind and the occasional crackle of energy surrounding Brian.
Fauna, ever the observant one, spoke softly, her voice barely audible above the wind. "Fascinating, is this what he called chakra? I don't sense any magical power in it, like I use to Mana..." She said in an intrigued expression. "His control over chakra is remarkable," she murmured, her eyes filled with wonder. "I've never seen anything like it."
Kronii, ever the pragmatist, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're right... I don't sense any magical power in it as well. If he used a flight spell, we could have sensed some mana in it, but no, I don't sense any." She said, her gaze narrowed in concentration. "He's expending minimal energy to achieve maximum speed and altitude. It's a testament to his skill."
Baelz, unable to contain her curiosity, piped up, "So, what exactly is chakra? Is it like a superpower thing? Can anyone learn it?"
Mumei, her gaze distant, seemed to be lost in thought, but she spoke, her voice soft. "It's... different. It feels more intrinsic, more connected to his very being. It's like he's tapping into a hidden wellspring within himself."
Sana, ever the optimist, chimed in, "Maybe it's like a different form of energy? Like how we use Mana, he uses Chakra? Maybe there are other types too!"
Brian, on the other hand, didn't hear what they were saying, or even if he did, he wouldn't care less because of the noise of the aura it's making when he flies.
As they flew, the desolate landscape began to change, and they started to see patches of strange thorny vegetation in front of them. This gave way to towering metal structures that pierced the hazy sky. Buildings of chrome and steel stretched as far as the eye could see, connected by a network of elevated platforms and glowing energy conduits. This was Aethelgard's largest civilization, a testament to the Zydonians' technological prowess.
Brian, sensing their approach to the city, slowed his pace, the white aura around him dimming slightly. He surveyed the sprawling metropolis below, his eyes narrowed in concentration.
"We're approaching the city limits," Brian said, his voice a low rumble. "Prepare for possible resistance."
As they approached the city, it became clear that this was no ordinary civilization. The Zydonians, with their sleek, metallic armor and cybernetic enhancements, moved with a cold, calculated efficiency. Their faces were devoid of emotion, replaced by a steely determination that spoke of a society driven by logic and control.
Brian, still leading the charge, stopped in his tracks, his white aura instantly disappearing when he stopped. As he floated in the sky, looking down at the city with a serious expression, Brian scanned the surroundings with a predatory gaze, his senses on high alert. The girls also stopped behind him, they also noticed that when Brian stopped flying, his white aura instantly disappeared. As if it only appeared when he was flying, their expressions a mixture of awe and apprehension.
"This place...it's unsettling," Mumei murmured, her voice barely audible above the hum of the city's energy conduits. Her gaze darted from one towering structure to another, a sense of unease settling over her.
Kronii, ever the pragmatist, adjusted her glasses, her expression analytical. "Their technology is impressive, but there's a distinct lack of... warmth. It's all cold logic and efficiency."
Baelz, despite her love for chaos, seemed unusually subdued. "Yeah, it's kinda creepy," she admitted, her tail twitching nervously. "Like everyone's a robot or something."
Sana, ever the optimist, tried to find something positive to focus on. "Well, at least they're organized! Look at how efficiently they move. Maybe we can learn something from them."
Fauna, her sensitive nature on high alert, felt a pang of sympathy for the Zydonians. "They seem so disconnected from nature," she said softly. "I wonder what happened to them."
Brian, however, remained silent, his gaze fixed on the city below. He could sense the undercurrent of tension, the subtle vibrations of energy that permeated the air. Something was definitely not right.
Kronii, ever the strategist, spoke up, her voice sharp and analytical. "Brian, we need a plan. We can't just go in guns blazing," she paused and continued to say, "Well, I'm not sure, given what you said before... But we can at least try to do this peacefully first."
Brian scoffed, not even looking back at the Council. "Peacefully? You're dreaming, warden of time. These insolent insects won't listen to reason. They're too far gone."
Baelz, ever the instigator, grinned mischievously. "Oh, come on, Destroyer, where's your sense of adventure? Maybe we can convince them to lighten up a little. A little chaos never hurt anyone... except maybe these guys."
Fauna, ever the gentle soul, spoke softly, her voice filled with hope. "Please, Brian, let's at least try to talk to them. We can't just resort to violence without giving them a chance."
Brian scoffed as he folded his arms and spoke. "Fine, but if shit gets fucked up, I'm going to massacre these motherfuckers to extinction. And there's nothing you can do to stop me, do you fucking hear me?" He said in an annoyed expression.
A tense silence fell over the Council as Brian's words hung in the air, heavy with threat. The air crackled with unspoken tension, each member grappling with the Destroyer's volatile nature. Fauna's eyes welled with unshed tears, her gentle heart recoiling from the violence he so readily embraced. Kronii's jaw tightened, her composed facade barely concealing a flicker of frustration. Even Baelz seemed momentarily subdued, her mischievous grin faltering in the face of Brian's raw intensity. Mumei remained silent, her gaze distant and unreadable. Sana also remained silent she has a sad expression on her face.
"Alright, Destroyer," Kronii said, her voice carefully measured. "We understand, Brian," she said softly. "We just ask that you give us a chance to try diplomacy first. If they refuse to listen, then... we'll deal with it together." And she added. And let us to the talking okay, you just stand behind us.
Brian scoffed, his expression unreadable. He finally spoke, a puff of air escaping his lips. "Damn fucking right you are..." He said to all of the Council.
Kronii, ever the strategist in the group, stepped forward. "Alright, let's move out," she said, her voice firm. "We'll approach the city center and attempt to establish contact with their leaders. Baelz, Mumei, your diplomatic skills will be crucial here. Fauna, Sana, be ready to provide support if things get hostile. Brian, try to keep your... enthusiasm in check."
Without another word, Brian descended towards the city, his movements fluid and graceful despite his imposing size. The Council members followed behind him, their expressions a mixture of apprehension and determination. As they approached the city center, they were met by a contingent of Zydonian soldiers, their sleek, metallic armor gleaming in the hazy sunlight.
The soldiers stood in rigid formation, their faces devoid of emotion, their energy weapons trained on the approaching group, as they all pointed their weapons on the six of them, the girls raised their hand not wanted to start a fight, except Brian who only folded his arms and raise his eyebrows.
A figure emerged from the ranks of the soldiers, his armor slightly more ornate than the others. His voice, amplified by a cybernetic implant, echoed through the city center. "Halt! Identify yourselves and state your purpose."
Kronii stepped forward, her expression calm and composed. "We are representatives of the Council of Realms," she said, her voice clear and authoritative. "We have come to discuss a matter of great importance with your leaders."
The Zydonian commander's expression remained unchanged. "The Council of Realms? We have no dealings with outsiders. Leave our city immediately."
Fauna stepped forward, her voice soft and gentle. "Please, commander," she said, her eyes filled with compassion. "We come in peace. We only wish to speak with your leaders and share information that could save your world."
The commander hesitated for a moment, his expression flickering with a hint of uncertainty. "What information do you possess?"
Sana stepped forward, her voice filled with optimism. "We know of the anomaly in the Nexus of Realities, the gateway to chaos that your actions have inadvertently opened. We can help you close it, but only if you are willing to listen."
The commander's expression hardened. "The Nexus Core is a vital part of our technological infrastructure. We will not allow outsiders to interfere with its operation."
Brian remained silent, but his eyes narrowed. He could feel the lie in the commander's words, the subtle tremor in his energy signature that betrayed his true intentions. They knew about the danger, the impending chaos, but they were too stubborn, too entrenched in their technological hubris to admit it.
Baelz, sensing the shift in the air, stepped forward, a mischievous glint returning to her eyes. "Oh, come on, Commander," she said, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm. "Don't tell me you guys haven't noticed the little... hiccups in your precious Nexus Core? The reality warping? The occasional interdimensional monster popping in for tea?"
The commander's metallic jaw tightened, his expression flickering with anger. "Silence! Your words are nothing but lies and propaganda. The Nexus Core is functioning perfectly."
Mumei, ever the observant one, spoke softly, her voice barely audible above the hum of the city's energy conduits. "That's not true. We can see the cracks in your reality, the places where the boundaries are weakening. If you don't act soon, this entire city, this entire world, could be consumed by chaos."
The commander remained unmoved, his expression unwavering. "You are trespassing. Leave now, or we will be forced to use force."
Kronii sighed, her shoulders slumping slightly. "We tried," she said, her voice laced with resignation. "We offered our help, our knowledge, but you refused to listen."
Brian smirked, a predatory gleam in his eyes. "Alright, we did your way girls. Now step aside and let me to my part." He cracked his knuckles, as he slowly walked in front of them.
Before the Council could react, Brian instantly appeared in front of the commander, surprising him. But before he could react, Brian stab the commander with his right hand straight to his heart, his land went behind the commander's back, as Brian was holding his heart with his right hand. The comander coughing of some blood in his mouth. The Council were shocked at what they say, as they all gasps, even the Zydonians armies as well. The comander slowly raise his hand to face Brian, Brian noticed his grab his head with his left hand and make him look into his eyes, his devious grin didn't disappear.
This entire thing would have been prevented if you just agreed in the first place. Brian said in a maniac chuckled, he pulled the commander's head also near to his face. But now, watch, as I massacre your entire race to instiction... He said towards the comander, as the commander's eyes widen in shock. In Hell! Brian said, as he crashed the commander's heart with his right hand finally killing the comander. He removed his right hand towards his chest as the comander falls down in the ground, Brian's right hand was full of blood.
As their blasts hit Brian, smoke appeared, covering Brian completely. The energy blasts slammed into Brian, engulfing him in a blinding cascade of light and smoke. The Council members braced themselves, expecting to see him vaporized, but as the light subsided, as the smoke slowly disappeared, Brian stood there unscathed, his coat unruffled, his brown wolf-tail wiggling underneath his white coat. The unsettling grin was still etched on his face. The Zydonian soldiers stared in disbelief, their metallic jaws slack.
"Was that it?" Brian asked, his voice laced with mocking amusement. "I have all of this advanced technology in your fucking arsenals, and you can't even hurt me..." He said in a mocking expression. "I've had mosquito bites that stung worse..."
Brian took a step forward, and the soldiers instinctively recoiled, their weapons trembling in their hands. A primal fear began to creep into their eyes, the realization that they were facing something far beyond their comprehension.
"Now," Brian said, his voice dropping to a dangerous growl. "It's my turn." He said with a devious grin on his face.
Before the soldiers could react, Brian performed a hand sign and shouted. "FIRE STYLE: MAJESTIC DESTROYER FLAMES!" he shouted, as he blew a massive amount of flames from his mouth towards the Zydonian soldiers, the size of the flames was like a tsunami.
The sheer force of the flames incinerated everything in their path. The Zydonian soldiers, caught completely off guard, didn't even have time to scream as they were engulfed in the inferno. Their metallic armor melted like wax, their cybernetic implants fizzled and died, and their bodies were reduced to ash in a matter of seconds, wiping out the entire army with one single attack.
The Council members watched in horror as Brian unleashed his devastating attack. Fauna covered her mouth with her hands, tears streaming down her face. Kronii's glasses were fogged with shock, her usual composure shattered. Baelz, for once, was speechless, her mischievous grin replaced with a look of pure terror. Mumei simply stared, her eyes wide and unblinking. Sana whimpered, burying her face in Fauna's shoulder. As Brian was done, he stared at the carnage that happened, and smirked.
To be continued.
