After Morgana leaves, the silence she leaves behind feels even louder than all the cruel things she said.
Mira's body gives out. It's like her legs just stop working, like she's a hollow tree collapsing in on itself.
Breathing becomes difficult, she stumbles sideways, her back scraping the wall as she tries to stay upright, but her limbs stop responding.
Her knees buckle, and she slides down the cold rough wall, landing on the floor in a weak, crumpled heap. The pain doesn't even register, she's too shocked to feel anything.
Just moments ago, she had felt strong, and nowadays, everytime she feels like that, she knows that baby inside her does it.
She had some strength, but she didn't fight back. She hadn't touched Morgana not because she couldn't, but because she knew it would only make things worse.
But now that strength is gone. All that's left is numbness.
