Chapter 70 - The Mirror Between Us

After getting the the larger size of the same dress I had one earlier, I slid it over my skin much more easily this time. The fabric did not cling too tightly, did not fight me the way the other one did. It was smooth and soft, a deep shade that almost shimmered under the lights. I fixed the straps, took a shaky breath, and turned toward the mirror.

It fit perfectly. Too perfectly. My reflection looked… different. Softer. Maybe even beautiful, though I couldn't bring myself to think that out loud. My heart was still hammering in my chest when I opened the curtain and stepped out.

I took a deep breath and looked at the super obvious cleavage because of the low cut and encouraged myself to just walk out of the dressing room, convincing myself that these three people outside have seen women in much less clothes. So I look normal to them, I look normal in general, I'm just not used to wearing revealing or tight clothes.
