Chapter 473 - Chapter 474: The Omni-King

Marcarita held back for a long time before finally giving Kaito a headbutt.

Kaito returned the favor with a sharp flick to her forehead.

The two started fooling around on the couch; before long, Marcarita's clothes were completely disheveled, while Kaito's remained perfectly neat and unwrinkled.

Suddenly, Kaito pressed a hand on her shoulder and said softly,

"Enough. We've got company."

Marcarita blinked in confusion.

"Company? I don't sense anyone."

Kaito's expression grew serious. He adjusted her slightly open collar and said,

"The one coming this time isn't ordinary..."

...

Outside the door,

A swirl of prismatic light slowly faded—revealing the entourage of the Omni-King, who had just arrived from Beerus's temple.

The two guards immediately stepped forward to push the door open, but the Grand Priest raised a hand to stop them.

With a faint smile, he said,

"When visiting someone else's home, you should knock first. Be polite."

After bowing slightly to the Omni-King, he stepped forward and knocked on the door a few times.

The door soon opened—and the one answering it was Marcarita.

Seeing the Grand Priest at her doorstep, she froze in shock.

"Father!?" she gasped.

Before Marcarita could recover, a childish voice spoke from behind the Grand Priest.

"Eh? You're the Angel of Universe 11, aren't you? Why are you here?"

Hearing that voice, Marcarita's twin tails practically stood on end. She stiffly craned her neck to see the Omni-King standing behind the Grand Priest.

Whis, who had been greeting her, was completely ignored.

Marcarita went numb. She instinctively bowed.

"Omni-King-sama!"

Then she just stood there like a stunned fool, frozen in the doorway, until Kaito walked up behind her.

He patted her shoulder and said,

"What are you standing there for? Move."

He gently pulled the still-stunned Marcarita behind him and locked eyes with the Grand Priest.

The Grand Priest examined Kaito carefully, still smiling as he said,

"So you must be Uchiha Kaito. I've heard about you from Whis. A pleasure to meet you."

His tone was warm and polite, showing none of the arrogance one might expect from a being of his stature—something that a certain twin-tailed Angel could learn from.

Kaito smiled back.

"Pleasure's mine. May I ask what brings the Grand Priest here today?"

Before the Grand Priest could respond, the Omni-King waved his tiny hand and shouted,

"To play, of course! I heard this planet has lots of fun things!"

Kaito looked at the talking blue sphere and said,

"Here to play, huh? Then you're guests. No need to stand outside—come in."

He pulled Marcarita aside and gestured invitingly toward the door.

The Omni-King floated in without hesitation, his two guards following closely behind.

The Grand Priest gave a courteous, "Thank you for having us," and walked in with graceful poise.

Beerus and Whis exchanged uneasy glances. Whis leaned close to Kaito and whispered,

"Kaito, you must be careful. If you anger the Omni-King, this entire universe could be—"

Kaito waved a hand dismissively.

"I'll treat them as guests and offer proper hospitality. But if anyone causes trouble..."

His eyes narrowed. Though he emitted no aura, Whis felt a chill run through him.

He swallowed hard.

"You're not seriously planning to fight the Omni-King, are you?"

"I've got better things to do. Peace is best for everyone."

Ignoring Whis, Kaito pinched Marcarita's cheek.

"Hey. Snap out of it. Your father's here—aren't you going to help entertain the guests? What kind of daughter are you?"

Marcarita shook her head to clear her mind, then grabbed Kaito's arm nervously.

"Kaito... did Father come to take me away? Even the Omni-King is here... I'm scared."

Her body trembled slightly. Kaito sighed, pulling her gently into his arms—his voice soft for once.

"Don't be afraid. I'm here. As long as you don't want to leave, no one's taking you anywhere today."

Marcarita stared blankly at him. She had to admit—his words struck something deep inside her. Her heart started racing uncontrollably.

Whis hesitantly raised his hand.

"Um... Beerus-sama and I—may we come in?"

Kaito nodded. Whis immediately tugged a dazed Beerus inside.

Of everyone present, Whis was the most anxious. If anything went wrong here, Universe 7 would be the first erased.

To him, neither Kaito nor the Omni-King were the type to handle things quietly.

...

Upstairs, Vados and Eighteen had also noticed the commotion and came down. When Vados saw the Grand Priest and his group, she was visibly startled.

But she recovered far faster than Marcarita had. After a brief pause, she calmed herself, motioned for Eighteen to stay quiet, and gracefully bowed first to the Omni-King, then to the Grand Priest—displaying the refined elegance of an Angel.

The Grand Priest looked at her with clear approval. Among all his children, Vados resembled him the most.

Yet, his most beloved child was still the one standing nervously by the door—Marcarita.

When Kaito led Marcarita into the living room, the Omni-King and the others were already seated on the sofa. Steaming cups of coffee were neatly arranged on the table—clearly Vados's doing. She now carried herself with the calm dignity of a hostess.

Eighteen, having learned from Vados who their guests were, still couldn't quite believe that the small blue figure on the sofa was the supreme ruler of all universes.

The Omni-King took a sip from his cup, eyes widening in delight.

"What's this called? It's bitter... but sweet! So strange!"

Vados smiled.

"It's called coffee. It's quite a popular drink on Earth."

The Omni-King seemed to take a real liking to it and drained the rest in one gulp.

Beside him, the Grand Priest smiled warmly.

For the moment, the atmosphere was perfectly peaceful.
