Gusion retreated dozens of meters before stopping, frowning at Body Killer.
Body Killer re-formed from water, his smile fading a bit, eyes grave.
"A Logia?"
Gusion was annoyed. This was obviously a Logia fruit, a never-before-seen Water-Water Fruit, able to turn into water.
Clearly a skilled pioneer—Gusion nearly lost in the first exchange.
Body Killer had also tricked him into thinking his laser required a wind-up using his third eye and hands, but actually, it could be fired instantly.
At that range, even with Ryou, Gusion would have been badly hurt.
Body Killer was the calculating type. Gusion almost fell for it, but thanks to his flash step, he escaped.
Body Killer only smiled, "Guess?"
Gusion ignored the banter, zigzagging across rooftops to dodge Enel's lightning. Enel just wanted to fry him.
Body Killer kept firing lasers at Gusion relentlessly.
Gusion wondered: Does this guy have infinite energy?
The fight quickly became intense, making the explorers realize how dangerous both Enel and Body Killer were together.
Enel alone was strong but fragile, offering some hope to opportunists. But Body Killer was an even bigger headache.
Together, they could wipe out all of Sky Island.
Gusion found it tricky—battles really depend on matchups. Body Killer's all-rounder style was troublesome.
Enel, though, would be beatable in a one-on-one. As a mage type, Gusion could snipe him with his bow, and he could use Dankū (a defensive Kido from Bleach) to block most of Enel's attacks.
As long as he didn't take a charged attack head-on, Dankū could block most lightning.
Of course, he still had to avoid being zapped by conduction.
Body Killer was strong, but without Armament Haki, he probably couldn't hurt Enel, and as a water-based Logia, he was actually vulnerable to Enel.
But together, they complemented each other perfectly—control, damage, mobility.
Gusion was dodging lightning everywhere, looking for a chance to close in and sap their spirit with his blade.
"Looks like he wants close combat, Enel. Should we have some fun?"
Body Killer smiled.
Enel nodded. He'd cooled off—Gusion was a threat. No need to go wild.
As a Rumble-Rumble user, he could fly, so there was no reason to fight on the ground.
He soared up, drumming out lightning, bombarding Gusion.
Annoyingly, Gusion kept dodging before he could land a hit—preempting every move.
After Enel took to the sky, Body Killer removed his jacket, stored it, and with a ripping sound, a pair of huge white wings sprouted from his back—far larger than any Skypieans's.
He looked more like a mythological angel than a Skypieans.
"Damn, the rumors are true—Body Killer got the angel bloodline!"
A Divine Space explorer exclaimed. The angel bloodline was rare and had high growth potential.
"But... how can he have two bloodlines?"
Even with Devil Fruits being compatible, it was weird for an angel to turn into water.
Meanwhile, Birka's soldiers arrived, wings fluttering, spears in hand, charging at Enel.
Gusion narrowed his eyes, extending his aura—several leading soldiers fell, knocked out by Conqueror's Haki.
"What are you doing?!"
An elder shouted angrily.
Gusion had no time to explain, dodging Enel's lightning. He didn't believe Devil Fruit users had infinite power—there had to be a limit.
Another elder understood, pulling the others back. "Evacuate the civilians! Stay out of this battle!"
He realized this was beyond normal people—their loyal soldiers would be vaporized instantly.
"Enel's crazy—this is his home! How can he massacre here?!"
Another elder raged. They never imagined the once innocent child would become so ruthless.
Residents fled in terror, some weeping over loved ones, flames everywhere, hell on earth.
"Shameless! Two-on-one from the sky—come down and fight Mr. Gusion!"
From the safe zone, Ulti shouted indignantly.
"Yeah, Mr. Gusion could finish them up close!"
Page One clenched his fists.
Snow Wind rolled her eyes at the kids. It wasn't that simple.
She was a top fighter here and could see how bad things looked for Gusion.
Enel was strong, and Body Killer was no pushover—he still had tricks up his sleeve. Gusion was in a tough two-on-one.
Even in close combat, Gusion might not beat Body Killer. He'd already burned a long-cooldown survival skill.
Boom—
Enel's 30 Million Volt Thunder Beast destroyed another block. Gusion flash-stepped out, his clothes singed.
His real headache wasn't their aerial advantage (he could also flash step into the air), but Enel's attack frequency. Dodging left no chance to attack.
Charging into the air made him an easy target for a pincer attack.
While running, Gusion kept firing arrows at Body Killer, realizing Body Killer's senses were weaker—easier to hit.
Enel dominated the skies, but Body Killer wasn't as efficient.
Whoosh—
Another powerful arrow shot out—this time, Body Killer couldn't fully dodge; his left shoulder lost a chunk.
Body Killer frowned. "Annoying. I don't want to use that form."
He flew higher, body transforming—limbs turning into a slimy, earth-brown soft-bodied form, like some aquatic worm.
In this state, his wound regenerated almost instantly, then he returned to human form.
"What the heck is that?"
Explorers were stunned.
Was he a Ditto?
Gusion was also surprised—this seemed to be another bloodline ability, probably a Zoan-type Devil Fruit.
But wasn't it impossible to eat more than one Devil Fruit?
Body Killer ignored their shock, took out a thick red-gold book from storage, tore out a page with a pained expression. "Holy Word: Lightforge!"
The page shone, becoming 12 beams of light, each topped with a zodiac statue.
The beams fell, targeting Gusion.
"Strike him!"
Body Killer yelled. This was his strongest binding skill—trap Gusion so Enel could bombard the area.
Enel didn't mind Body Killer's instructions—Gusion was a mutual enemy. He focused, unleashing a storm of lightning on the area surrounded by the twelve beams.
