Trapped in the light-forged cage, Gusion didn't panic. He lowered his stance, exhaling a thick white mist, muscles tensed, purple-black runes visible on his exposed skin.
As lightning struck, rain-like crackling sounded above.
Lightning above, pillars of light around—Gusion was swallowed by radiance.
But then, darkness stretched from the light like a serpent—then a heavenly dragon.
A jet-black slash tore through dozens of meters, shattering the light prison and roaring at his enemies.
Gusion's original secret sword style—Devour the Heavens!
With a shattering sound, darkness broke free, a demon from hell on earth.
Using the sword's momentum, Gusion's flash step reached its peak—he soared hundreds of meters in an instant, his killing intent echoing: "Kill!"
The sword swept through both Enel and Body Killer.
No one expected Gusion to survive the lightning and break free to attack.
Caught off-guard, Enel tried to escape by elementizing and teleporting via nearby lightning.
But Gusion's slash, wrapped in dark red lightning—Conqueror's Haki—was too fierce.
The slash cut a massive wound across Enel's abdomen.
Body Killer, with less evasion ability, was cut in half!
Still in shock, Body Killer fired a beam at Gusion, but Gusion dodged in midair, the beam blasting a crater.
Gusion slashed again. Body Killer flapped his wings and flew higher.
Just as Gusion pursued, more lightning rained down—his Dankū was still on cooldown, forcing him to evade and giving Body Killer a breather.
Body Killer, in his worm form, started to regenerate his lower body!
Explorers were stunned.
Body Killer tore out another page from his book. "Holy Word: Heal!"
In a flash, his lower body regrew in seconds.
Gusion shook his head—his Mazuko blade had a healing ban effect. Without it, Body Killer could regenerate instantly.
What on earth was this Fruit? Its healing rivaled Muzan's. As a Zoan, it'd also boost stats and grant more abilities.
But Gusion had no time to complain—he had to keep dodging Enel's attacks.
The battle was at a stalemate—Enel and Body Killer would be extremely cautious now.
"Dangerous stuff, Enel."
Body Killer rejoined Enel, hinting at the risk.
Enel, clutching his wound, had never been hurt so badly since eating the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
Gusion's slash had cut to his guts—he could only manage emergency treatment, but couldn't last long.
Pain and the curses of Birka's residents pushed him to the edge, lightning flashing around him.
"Wretched mortals—how dare you offend a god!"
Enel glared at Gusion, electricity surging. "60 Million Volts: Thunder Dragon!"
A gigantic thunder dragon charged at the fleeing Gusion, homing in relentlessly.
At the same time, Body Killer fired a beam from the front—pincer attack.
Gusion slashed with his Mazuko—clashing with Body Killer's beam, splitting it with his Haki and Ryou.
The thunder dragon behind struck an invisible barrier, shattering into fireworks.
Gusion strode through the sparks, his black clothes fluttering, purple eyes coldly focused on the two.
Enel was livid. "Body Killer, get back!"
He pushed Body Killer away and stepped forward, his body swelling into a huge, thunderous figure—like a wrathful deity.
"200 Million Volts: Raijin!"
This was Enel's ultimate form—he no longer wanted a drawn-out fight. Gusion was too slippery.
Now, his whole body was wrapped in 200 million volts—if Gusion wanted to melee, bring it on. Would he be split in two, or would Gusion be fried?
Gusion frowned. He doubted it was really 200 million volts, but it was definitely not something he could fight up close.
But he never said he had to kill Enel in melee.
"Enel, change back!" Body Killer shouted. He knew Enel's Raijin form's flaw—he concentrated all the electricity on himself and couldn't strike at range anymore. He'd turned from a mage to a melee tank.
Against normal foes, it was fine. Against Gusion, he'd lost his advantage.
Now, Enel was a giant target.
Sure enough, as Body Killer warned him, Gusion drew his Barbarian King Bow, maintaining distance, and fired a powerful arrow at Enel's massive belly.
He couldn't yet imbue arrows with Conqueror's Haki, but Ryou was enough to hurt Enel's low-defense build.
Boom—
Body Killer's body exploded—he'd blocked the shot for Enel.
He cursed Enel internally, but still needed him. Alone, Body Killer didn't dare face Gusion.
He observed that Gusion seemed to use Ryou endlessly, as if unexhausted—likely a result of his Origin Seed.
If Body Killer could get that, his power would soar—more than any Logia fruit.
"What now, Body Killer?"
Enel saw Body Killer wounded and realized his form's flaw—he reverted, spamming lightning to keep Gusion at bay.
Body Killer, pale, returned to human form. Even with rapid regeneration, repeated hits would finish him.
Bang—
A gunshot rang out. Enel dodged, but still took a bullet to the shoulder, wincing.
He turned to see a visiting explorer had fired. Furious, he shouted, "I knew these people were up to no good!"
With the first shot fired, other ranged explorers joined in.
After Gusion's long fight had wounded Enel and Body Killer, the others sensed an opportunity to finish the hidden quest.
"Idiots," Snow Wind muttered. Even wounded, Enel wasn't someone ordinary explorers could take on.
But with others helping, Gusion's pressure eased.
"Aren't we going?" Snow Cake asked. "Maybe we have a chance."
Snow Wind glanced at him. "Didn't you see Mr. Gusion's look? That's his prey. If you interfere, he'll cut you down."
She drew her sword. "Besides, we've got company."
Two third-tier explorers approached, targeting Ulti and her brother.
Before the world ends, grabbing two ancient Zoan fruits would be a great reward, plus a possible treasure chest for defeating them.
