"In other words, luck is the opposite of Fate."
My brows furrowed at his words, but when I thought deeply about it, it seemed to have some sense.
Fate was fixed, logical, and understandable turns of events. If you are weak and fight a stronger monster, you die. It was common sense.
As for luck, it was about unpredictability. Imagine a swordmaster with years of experience suddenly, while fighting a kid with a wooden sword, falls, hits a rock and dies.
With common sense, such a thing would never happen, how could an experienced swordmaster make such a mistake? But here was the thing about luck.
It doesn't defy logic, only common sense. It uses the saying: Odds may be slim, but never zero.
But there was something I didn't understand.
"You said that luck might increase or decrease. However, I remember that the Origin of Entertainment chose the VIP viewers by their luck, so I thought that the luck is also fixed. What exactly determines it?"
