Crystal Foster woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. Once again, she dreamed of the scene right before her death. She sat up with a scream, feeling cold sweat covering her back. This time, the dream was particularly vivid, with Hyland Riley's face looming before her like a demon from hell. Unable to fall back asleep, she threw off the covers, got out of bed, and gulped down a glass of cold water.
Suddenly, the door to her room opened, and Martin Riley walked in, dressed in dark pajamas. Crystal stood barefoot on the floor, feeling a bit awkward. "I'm sorry, did I wake you?" she asked, realizing her scream might have been too loud.
Martin's eyes flicked to her bare feet, and he frowned slightly before walking over to her. He gently picked her up and placed her back on the bed, tucking her in. "Go to sleep," he said softly.
