"I won't divorce Stella!" Hyland Riley declared firmly. Stella knew too many of his secrets, and if they divorced, she would never let him go.
Crystal Foster shrugged. "Then there's nothing more to discuss. If you two are so deeply in love, then you can suffer together. I'm curious to see how long you'll last without money."
Hyland's face twisted as he looked at Crystal. "Why are you so fixated on us? Even if you're Crystal Foster's friend, you shouldn't—"
"Because she visited me in a dream," Crystal interrupted him. "She asked me to avenge her. Since you refuse to divorce Stella and insist on playing the loving husband, I have no choice but to bring you both down. Otherwise, Crystal Foster will keep haunting my dreams, and that's pretty unsettling, don't you think?"
She looked at Hyland with a smile that seemed twisted in his eyes. The whole dream story was a fabrication, designed to scare him.
As expected, Hyland began to tremble slightly, as if he was genuinely afraid.
