Jasmine Lee watched helplessly as the driver placed her suitcase into the trunk of the car and slowly closed her eyes.
"Jasmine, it's not that I want to kick you out. It's just that your father thinks you'll disturb my pregnancy, so we have to ask you to leave," Hazel Morgan said, standing on the steps, gently caressing her belly. Her smile was wide, but to Jasmine, it seemed utterly fake.
"Hazel, don't think your little tricks will secure your place in the Lee family. Just wait, I'll be back," Jasmine said, her voice filled with determination.
Hazel chuckled softly, "I don't understand what you're saying, but don't worry. You're a part of the Lee family, and no matter when you return, there will always be a door open for you."
Jasmine glared at Hazel, her teeth clenched. "You deceitful woman, stop pretending. I promise you won't be smug for long. One day, you'll pay for this!"
