When Crystal Foster went to visit her father, the weather was gloomy.
That morning, she had noticed the dark clouds gathering outside her window. It was supposed to be morning, yet it looked as dark as night.
Dressed in a black coat, Crystal descended the stairs to find Martin Riley already waiting in the living room.
"Let's eat," he suggested.
After finishing their meal, they got into the car. Crystal stared out the window, her mood visibly somber.
Martin understood she wasn't feeling great, so he simply held her hand tightly.
At the cemetery, Crystal bought flowers and a bottle of wine, placing them in front of her father's gravestone.
"Dad, I've brought Martin Riley to see you," she said, tears welling up in her eyes but with a gentle smile on her face. "Dad, Hyland Riley has been caught. He's been sentenced to life in prison. For him, living is the greatest punishment."
As she spoke, she began to sob uncontrollably. "Dad, I miss you so much!"
