"Why didn't you tell me Sylvia went to the mountains for a medical mission?" Alex Elliott stormed into Daisy Sanchez's office, his voice filled with anger. "This is important! Why didn't you say anything?"
Daisy glanced at her assistant, "Please step out and make sure we're not disturbed."
As the assistant left, he couldn't help but sneak a glance at Alex's back. This guy was a regular visitor, always arguing with their boss. From an outsider's perspective, it was clear that Daisy had feelings for Alex, but he didn't seem to reciprocate. The assistant thought Daisy was beautiful and capable, having started her own psychology practice. She didn't need to be hung up on one person. But as employees, they couldn't openly speculate about their boss's feelings, so they only whispered about it in private.
"Alex, I know you're upset about Sylvia, but I'm still at work. Could you at least consider my position?" Daisy looked up at him, her eyes filled with frustration.
