Chapter 3 - DULK: Chapter 3

After understanding the general situation of this world, Arthas finally understood why the girl had tried to rip his clothes earlier. Apparently, after signing a contract with a God and becoming a Familia member, one becomes an adventurer, gaining attributes, skills, and magic.

These things appear as very straightforward data on the back of the Familia member.

"Quickly, quickly, Arthas, let me see your attributes! You showed magic just now, your innate attributes must be excellent!"

"Yes, yes, I know, my Goddess."

Arthas said this, then somewhat helplessly lay on the bed, pulling up his shirt.

"Oh oh oh… Let me see… these attributes… these attributes…"

"What's wrong? What about my attributes?"

Arthas curiously asked, turning his head. Hestia's expression looked very strange.

"How should I put this… Strength, Endurance, Dexterity, Agility are all at the lowest I-rank. Well, it's normal for a newbie, but why is Magic… why is Magic a question mark?!"

"Um, what rank is a question mark?"

"A question mark means even I, your Goddess, can't detect it! This isn't right, this is impossible, this isn't scientific, nor magical! How can the basic attributes be undetectable?!"

Hestia looked puzzled, continuing to look below. Besides the basic attributes, the Skills section was empty, but the Magic section had something.

"Indeed! Arthas, you have magic! Having magic right after signing the contract is amazing! Let me see what kind of magic… uh… 'Unclean Frost???'?"

After reading Arthas's magic name, Hestia fell silent again.

Is Unclean Frost an ice-type magic? But what are those three question marks? Why are there question marks again, just like with the Magic attribute!

"Unclean Frost?"

Arthas also murmured the name. Honestly, the name gave him a bad feeling.

It was as if there was another him, but he intensely disliked that self—that cold, merciless self, entirely constructed of frost.

A blurry past was completely frozen in the frost. If possible, Arthas hoped that past would never reappear.

"Well, it's magic anyway! This is magic, you know! Many people can't grasp this kind of profound magic until LV2, or even LV3! Um, looking at your attributes, Arthas, you're very suitable for developing into a mage."

"Mage… me?"

Although Hestia said so, Arthas still had no idea. He still had no idea how to use magic.

But that didn't matter… no matter what it was, as long as he knew it was power, that was enough. Power belonging to him, held in his palm.

Although Arthas's attributes and magic were somewhat strange, they were completely ignored by the clueless Hestia, and Arthas himself was naturally just as bewildered.

In Hestia's eyes, because Arthas was a genius with immense potential, these strange aspects seemed perfectly normal.

After all, geniuses always have to be a little different from others.

After dealing with these matters, Arthas had to start working hard as an adventurer, fighting monsters, getting stronger, earning money, and leveling up to support his Goddess.

Upon learning that his Goddess was actually setting up a street stall selling fried potatoes, Arthas suppressed his laughter and expressed his deepest sympathy.

"What's wrong with fried potatoes?! Are you looking down on fried potatoes?! I'll have you know fried potatoes are delicious! And by doing this kind of work, I've experienced the hardships of life!"

"I know, I know, my Goddess. Don't worry, I'll work hard to earn money so that my Goddess can eat something other than fried potatoes."

Comforting the girl, who was like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, Arthas said this, and the two of them walked into a luxurious building.

The 'Adventurer's Guild' was the largest organization in the Dungeon's administration. This organization provided services for adventurers, including exchanging magic crystals and guiding new adventurers.

Each new adventurer would have an advisor who would teach them about the Dungeon's knowledge and precautions to prevent them from doing anything dangerous.

Eina Tulle was one such half-elf adventurer advisor. Because of her kindness, consideration, and beautiful appearance, she was quite popular with male adventurers.

Seeing Arthas and Hestia enter the guild hall, Eina immediately noticed them.

"Welcome, Goddess Hestia. You… have recruited a Familia member?"

Eina was familiar with Hestia. Her impression was that she was a down-on-her-luck Goddess with no Familia, but now it seemed different.

"Of course, this is my Familia member, Arthas. How about it? Isn't he excellent?"

Hestia proudly puffed out her chest, causing Eina to shake her head helplessly.

"He does seem impressive. So, Goddess Hestia, are you here to register him?"

"That's right! From today on, he is an adventurer under my, Hestia's, command!"

"This way, please."

Eina gestured, and as she turned, she deliberately observed Arthas. The man hadn't said anything, only observing the guild hall with his somewhat indifferent black eyes.

This made Eina, who had seen countless people, feel that this young adventurer might truly be a very talented fellow.
