Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 "I'm a biologist, and you give me a weapon spirit?"

Chapter 1 "I'm a biologist, and you give me a weapon spirit?"

"Oh dear, what bad luck! How did I awaken such a terrible spirit?"

In Old Jack's house in Holy Soul Village, a beautifully crafted boy sighed like a little adult.

The boy's name was Chen Feng. In his previous life, he was a biologist who accidentally fell off a cliff while excavating fossils. When he woke up, he found himself in the Douluo Continent.

At first, Chen Feng was very excited because, for a biologist like him, the Douluo Continent was a treasure trove.

There were no flashy battle qi or magic here, only a myriad of spirit spirits and soul beasts.

Such a wonderful place—wasn't it destined for a biologist like Chen Feng?

Chen Feng immediately became excited and tumbled off his crib.

He was only a few months old at the time.

Realizing he was too young to do anything, Chen Feng didn't lose heart. He began to actively formulate plans, laying the foundation for his future research.

When he awakened his martial soul at the age of six—which is today—Chen Feng excitedly went to the Martial Soul Hall in the village to have his old acquaintance, Su Yuntao, awaken his martial soul.

At that time, he was full of hope, feeling that the world was beautiful and full of light.

Chen Feng especially hoped to awaken a beast martial soul, ideally one that could leave his body, as this would facilitate his research.

A plant martial soul was also acceptable, since plants are also living things and fall within Chen Feng's research scope.

In fact, Chen Feng had always felt that the Douluo Continent's division of martial souls into weapon martial souls and beast martial souls was unreasonable; he believed they should be divided into biological martial souls and weapon martial souls.

However, due to a lack of research conditions, he lacked sufficient evidence to support his theory.

Chen Feng dreamed of awakening a biological martial soul, preferably with high innate soul power, which would make it easier for him to travel around after becoming stronger.

To achieve his dream, he specifically prayed to the ancestors of the Chen family for blessings when he awakened his martial soul.

And then, he truly received their blessings.

Chen Feng awakened a sword as his martial soul, and most importantly, this sword was almost identical to the one he found behind the ancestral tablets when he was playing in the ancestral hall as a child in his previous life.

Except for a slight reduction in size and some damage to the Bagua diagram on the hilt, there was no difference.

Yes, the sword martial soul that Chen Feng awakened was actually damaged, which was the most frustrating thing for Chen Feng.

To be honest, he even suspected that it might be because he accidentally knocked the ancestral tablets to the ground when he climbed the table to get the sword, and the ancestors had damaged the sword as punishment for him.

The sword was called the Tai Chi Bagua Sword, which sounded very powerful, and it was indeed very powerful.

If it were intact.

Perhaps due to time travel or some other reason, the Tai Chi Bagua diagram on the sword's hilt, which should have been complete, now only has the Qian, Kan, and Gen trigrams remaining.

The other five trigrams are all blurred.

The sword's unique characteristic is that each trigram can hold a spirit ring, meaning that without repairing the sword, Chen Feng can only possess a maximum of three spirit rings.

"Damn it, I've become a Grandmaster!" Chen Feng felt a chill run down his spine after learning about his martial soul.

If he could only obtain three spirit rings, he could only reach level forty at most, which was slightly better than a Grandmaster, but not by much.

He'd be at best a Grandmaster Plus.

But at least a Grandmaster had two beautiful women vying for his attention; Chen Feng had nothing. Thinking about it this way, it seemed even more tragic.

The only thing that offered him some comfort was his innate full soul power.

Furthermore, this sword had two special forms: the Yin Sword form and the Yang Sword form.

However, Chen Feng couldn't use these forms now and didn't know their specific effects, only vaguely understanding that "the Yang Sword governs life, and the Yin Sword governs death."

Nevertheless, the ability to switch between different forms gave the Tai Chi Bagua Sword more possibilities.

If Chen Feng could successfully repair the Tai Chi Bagua Sword, he would undoubtedly become a powerful swordsman with limitless potential.

So how could this broken sword be repaired? This was the reason for Chen Feng's sighs.

To repair the sword, he needed to use high-quality soul master blood with a corresponding trigram attribute.

Taking Tang San as an example, his Blue Silver Grass martial soul possessed tenacious vitality, and after testing, Chen Feng found it belonged to the Xun position.

The Xun trigram belongs to the wood element, symbolizing wind, wood, cloud, and rain, representing the flow of life force and the spirit of continuous renewal.

However, while Tang San's Blue Silver Grass martial soul corresponded to the Xun trigram, its quality was insufficient.

If he were at his current stage, it would probably require the blood of tens of thousands of Tang Sans, and even that wouldn't be enough.

Only at the Blue Silver Emperor stage could he possibly help Chen Feng repair his martial soul.

In short, to break the seal on the Tai Chi Eight Trigrams Sword, Chen Feng would need to collect enough blood from qualified soul masters.

Either the quality or the quantity would be sufficient.

In Chen Feng's view, the conditions for breaking the seal on the Tai Chi Eight Trigrams Sword were incredibly difficult.

Each seal required corresponding blood, and it had to be either high quality or high quantity.

If he chose the quantity route, it would mean Chen Feng would have to wield his sword and wreak havoc across the Douluo Continent.

He would kill any qualified soul masters he saw, slaughtering his way from the Heaven Dou Empire to the Star Luo Empire, taking over the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and the Lower Four Sects.

Then he would storm into the Spirit Hall, killing all the qualified soul masters in the Pope's Hall and the Hall of Offerings, and finally find Qian Daoliu and kill him too. "

I'll slaughter them all!"

Could Chen Feng do that? Of course not.

Putting aside the question of whether it's feasible and whether he genuinely didn't want to do it, from a purely practical standpoint, this approach is incredibly short-sighted.

Once on this path, it means Chen Feng has fallen into the path of an evil soul master; being an enemy of the world is not a dream, and he will inevitably face punishment sooner or later.

If the path of quantity doesn't work, then is the path of quality feasible?

After sighing and lamenting for a while, Chen Feng did indeed have some ideas about this.

In his view, as a biologist, since he had come to this interesting world, he couldn't afford not to thoroughly study those bizarre martial souls and soul beasts.

Otherwise, wouldn't he have come for nothing?

And Chen Feng was originally skilled in studying biological evolution, so why not simply continue his original work and promote the development of martial soul research theory in this world?

As more people evolve their martial souls, high-quality blood will naturally become easier to find, and he will gain great prestige in the process.

Then, with his high reputation, wouldn't people give him face when he asks for blood?

Wouldn't this problem of the broken martial souls be solved?
