Seeing Arthas charge again, Yubelluna raised her staff to attack, but a sharp pain shot through her soul.

The receding frost spread across her body again, instantly freezing her into an ice sculpture.

Ravel watched in astonishment as Riser's Queen fell silently to the ground.

"Wh… what happened?! Even the Phenex Tears can't heal this?! Impossible!"

The family's secret medicine was useless. Ravel struggled to accept this.

Arthas stopped, raising an eyebrow and staring at Ravel.

He didn't want to fight her unless absolutely necessary.

Having witnessed his power, she should know what to do.

If she was foolish, Arthas wouldn't hesitate to turn her into an ice sculpture.

But he was thinking too much. As the Phenex heiress, Ravel wouldn't back down.

"If you want to pass, defeat me first. Ravel Phenex, Riser's sister, and wielder of the Bishop piece!"

Standing before Arthas, Ravel said coldly.

She no longer underestimated him, treating him as an opponent requiring her full strength, a foe to be confronted with the true Phenex flames.

"I don't want to bully children."

"I'm not a child! Don't underestimate me!"

Pouting, Ravel unleashed a torrent of flames at Arthas.

Easily blocking the attack with Frostmourne, Arthas lowered his sword, his gaze turning icy.

"In that case… I apologize. Today, I aim to bury the Phenex family's pride and flames… in biting frost."

His arrogant laughter echoed, silencing the observing devils in the hall.

The strange divine artifact and the Phenex Tears-resistant wound had already shocked them, but it was still within the realm of comprehension.

But Arthas's words were far too arrogant.

Yubelluna was merely a familiar; while protected by flames, she didn't possess the true Phoenix flames. Ravel was different. She was the Phenex heiress; her flames were the true, all-consuming flames of the Phoenix!

Yet Arthas claimed to bury the Phenex flames in ice? Where did he get this confidence?

Even now, most devils found the idea of freezing the Phoenix's flames unbelievable.

"You will pay for your arrogance!"

Ravel said coldly, genuinely angered.

Before everyone, ice and fire clashed directly. The screen in the hall was completely filled with flames, requiring a dramatic zoom-out to capture the full extent. The entire courtyard became a burning inferno, such terrifying flames unleashed from Ravel's small body.

In the midst of the raging inferno, Arthas stood calmly, seemingly unaffected by the flames.

"The Phenex family's flames will never fall before frost!"

Shouting, Ravel unleashed the full force of her power, the raging flames engulfing Arthas.

She'd won!

Seeing Arthas motionless, Ravel clenched her fist.

He was strong, but too arrogant and proud. Standing there, motionless, facing the Phenex flames—he was courting death.

Oh dear… he shouldn't be burned to death, right? He's still Rias-nee's familiar.

If something happened, it would be difficult to explain.

In Ravel's eyes, Rias was already her brother's wife, making them family.

Severely injuring a relative's familiar wasn't good; it would affect her brother and Rias-nee's relationship.

However, Grayfia's announcement didn't come.

Ravel froze, looking again at the heart of the flames.

The colliding flames should have exploded, but they weren't.

The flames were slowly solidifying.

It was indescribable. The dancing flames were slowly transforming. They were still flames, Ravel was certain, but they had changed into something she couldn't articulate.

"Wh… what kind of power is this?!"

Ravel muttered, feeling fear—fear emanating from the flames.

The Phenex family, with Phoenix blood, could hear the flames' voice, but now, Ravel felt fear from the flames.

"The flames… are frozen…"

Watching the central screen, Sirzechs murmured dreamily. The boy hadn't been boasting; he'd actually done it. He'd frozen the flames.

"Impossible! Impossible! Impossible!"

Ravel couldn't accept this.

The Phoenix flames frozen—she shook her head, clutching her head, but the fact remained.

The crimson flames solidified, then covered in a pale blue hue.

They were still flames, but encased in thick frost.

The flames were frozen, before countless devils! The impossible had happened.

"It seems… the Phenex family's flames… are nothing special."

With a meaningful sigh, Arthas stepped out of the now frozen flames, his every footstep making Ravel's heart pound.

It was fear.

The pampered Phenex heiress, for the first time in her life, felt fear.

Being surrounded by flames should have been comforting, but Ravel felt no safety. She wanted to escape, to flee this frozen sea of fire.
