Chapter 280 - DULK: Chapter 280

The eventful three-faction meeting was finally over. In the Occult Research Club were three figures: the current Devil King Lucifer Sirzechs

The eventful three-faction meeting was finally over. In the Occult Research Club were three figures: the current Devil King Lucifer Sirzechs, Leviathan Serafall, and the Fallen Angel Governor Azazel.

After dealing with the aftermath, they appeared in the club room, having obviously finished their discussions.

"Yeah, Michael and the others went back. He told me to say hello for him before he left."

"Eh? Michael-sama left, but why is he—the Fallen Angel Governor—still here?" Rias's face showed undisguised dislike, as if she were looking at a crow. To be honest, Azazel's feathers were as black as a crow's.

"Hey, that's mean to say. I'm going to be the advisor of your Occult Research Club from today onwards. You're being too impolite to your teacher, Rias Gremory."

"What?! Why would we let you, the Fallen Angel Governor, be our advisor?"

"I asked him about this. After all, Azazel has made considerable achievements in researching all aspects of artifacts, and it's better to put him to use than to let him do nothing. That's a good enough reason, right?" Rias initially frowned and looked dissatisfied upon hearing Sirzechs's words, but in the end, she became playful.

"Sirzechs, you're being too heartless, aren't you? It's as if you're encouraging them to exploit me!" Faced with the damn Governor's complaints, Sirzechs just smiled amiably. Was that a tacit agreement? It was definitely a tacit agreement!

"Whatever, I'm the Occult Research Club advisor starting today anyway. Call me Azazel-sensei. Or Governor is fine too?" Azazel, looking none too pleased, tugged at his disheveled suit as he said this.

"Well then, we'll be heading back to the Underworld for now. This incident is significant, so we need to tell the other two Devil Kings about the Khaos Brigade's actions and the three-faction peace agreement."

Sirzechs said this and then left the Occult Research Club's room together with Serafall.

"Ah, the youthful and vibrant school life, so many beautiful female students, it wouldn't be a problem even if I ate them, would it?"

After Sirzechs and Serafall left, Azazel immediately revealed his true colors, sitting on the sofa without any decorum.

"That's not allowed! Speaking of which, why would Souna give the advisor position to a guy like you? I think asking Ms. Gabriel or Mr. Michael would be infinitely more reliable than you, you bastard."

"You're so inflexible, Rias Gremory. I'm going to be staying anyway, and I'd be too embarrassed to just do nothing, so I came to be the advisor." Azazel shrugged as he said this.

"Of course, I'm not staying at this school to play around, I'm here to do serious artifact research. Regarding that Holy-Demonic Sword of that kid named Kiba over there, and the little nun's Twilight Healing, you want to take their powers a step further too, right?" Azazel said with a smug look on his face.

"Also, you probably want to know what kind of organization the Khaos Brigade is, right?"

Looking at Rias's pensive expression, Azazel languidly lay down on the sofa.

"My Holy-Demonic Sword can be improved even further?" Kiba Yuuto was slightly taken aback upon hearing Azazel's words.

"By the way, how long can you use the Holy-Demonic Sword to fight right now?"

"Right now, an hour should be the limit." Kiba Yuuto replied.

"That won't do. At the very least, you need to be able to fight continuously for three days." Frowning, Azazel said this with the utmost severity, and Kiba, upon hearing his words, also had a look of burning fighting spirit on his face.

Next, Azazel looked at Himejima Akeno.

"Do you still hate us… no, Bael?"

Himejima Akeno replied with a serious expression.

"I have no intention of forgiving him. My mother died because of that person."

"Akeno, that guy didn't say anything when you became a devil."

"That's only natural. That person has no standing to say anything to me."

"That's not what I meant. No, I should have intervened in the matters between you and your father." Azazel sighed.

"I don't consider him my father." Himejima Akeno stated this unequivocally.

"I see. But you becoming a Gremory familiar isn't bad, I think. What would Bael do if you were someone else's familiar?"

"..."

Himejima Akeno didn't respond to Azazel's words at all. She merely remained silent, wearing a complex expression.

"What do you mean? Akeno, she…?"

Hearing the conversation between Azazel and Akeno, Arthas revealed a somewhat curious look.

"Ah, I haven't told you about this yet, Arthas, but Akeno was actually a hybrid of a Fallen Angel and a human before she became a devil."

Rias said this apologetically, causing Arthas to be slightly surprised.

"I'm sorry… for keeping it from you for so long, it's just that I thought of myself as dirty because of it."

"Why would you think that? Aren't we family?"

Arthas smiled slightly, and Akeno nodded gratefully. Azazel, on the other hand, seemed somewhat awkward, and immediately changed the subject.

"A devil and a Fallen Angel gathered together, talking under one roof, that's quite interesting, isn't it? Well, it seems that this place will become a representative location for the three major factions."

"Kuoh Academy's summer vacation is coming up soon, right? Don't worry, I'm not just staying here to play around, I'll help you with your special training so that you can become stronger during this summer vacation." Looking at Rias and her group of familiars, Azazel said seriously.

"Speaking of which, that day for you devils is coming up soon, right? A gathering for the younger generation, and I heard that some promising young devils who have recently debuted, including Rias Gremory, will be attending."

"What gathering? What day?" Arthas looked confused.

"This guy really doesn't know anything, does he?" Azazel was speechless for a moment.

"It's a meeting for several new devils from prestigious and old families, sort of like an introduction. Of course, young people can't avoid being competitive, so they'll hold Rating Games and such." Rias explained from the side.

It's a rare opportunity. Inexperienced new devils can gain experience through the matches, which is a good thing.

After all, there are now devils who have been reincarnated from humans, Fallen Angels, and magical beasts.

There's no shortage of opponents at all. They can use a wide variety of battlefields to implement all sorts of different combat plans.

There's no environment more suitable for newcomers to grow in than this. Maybe Sirzechs saw this future and created this competition.

Devils compete with each other, and improve their powers. It's probably because their desires are so deep that they're like this, what an unfathomable guy.

Azazel said with some emotion. It was precisely because of this that the Underworld's power became the strongest one after the great war.
