Chapter 259: The Demon Sect Holy Saint's Preparations

Luo Wusheng felt his head filling with heat.

The sword's latest teleportation was so well-calculated that he was forcibly squeezed from the space and stumbled right into the presence of the beautiful fairy, who seemed to have been recovering her strength and preparing for the next battle against the Soulblade Specter.

On the other side, Ling Shuangxue, upon sensing the familiar aura, opened her eyes quickly. Her face showed slight surprise as Luo Wusheng's figure neared at high speed. Her natural reflex to channel protective energy activated, but she quickly suppressed it, perhaps to avoid harming the youth before her—or perhaps for other reasons.

This series of quick actions left little time, resulting in an unexpected scene.

Suppressed spiritual energy dispersed and loosened her specially crafted garments, causing her sleeves to fall to her shoulders and revealing a portion of her fair, pink-tinted skin.

Her collarbone and slender neck were now visible, along with a beautiful face, radiating a sense of beauty with an earthy charm, which ignited a subtle warmth in Luo Wusheng's heart and made his breathing deepen.

The woman beneath him—Ling Shuangxue—appeared slightly flustered, an unusual display for one usually so composed. Though she did not resist, her gaze occasionally drifted, casting subtle glances at the young man's face.

In the quiet of the grand hall, their heartbeat echoes were clear, as if louder than normal in their ears. Whether these hurried beats were his own or hers was now difficult to tell.

Luo Wusheng found himself losing control, standing before this Sword Sect fairy. The string that held his heart steady was not exactly taut, especially since he sensed no resistance from her. After all, this was a mid-Nascent Soul cultivator who, while not at her peak, was certainly capable of self-defense. Yet now...

Swallowing hard, Luo Wusheng felt a faint sense of nervousness and recognized that the woman beneath him was equally tense.

Ling Shuangxue herself sensed the dissonance between her imagination and reality. She had assumed she was prepared for a moment like this, yet now, her composure was overwhelmed by emotion.

The young man's breath, close against her, stirred her newly transformed Sword Heart.

'Indeed... for my Sword Heart to be complete and walk my own path…'

Her gaze turned hazy, lost in thought, as she lightly bit her lip in hesitation.

Luo Wusheng quickly gathered himself, breathing deeply, and shifted upward. "Things went smoother than I'd anticipated while I was out," he said softly.

Observing Ling Shuangxue's flickering gaze, he gently placed the mini Soulblade Specter on the floor. "This holds the Sword Intent of that Heaven-grade Soulblade Specter. I seized the opportunity after assessing the situation, which is why I acted alone... and didn't disappoint your expectations."

"If you want more details, I can slowly explai…"

As his voice trailed off, he felt slender arms wrap around his torso, and a soft form lifted to embrace him.

His senses filled with her warmth, her bare shoulders pressed against him.

Feeling his heart racing faster, he realized he was already struggling to hold back.

At her dreamy whisper, "W-wait a moment…" he had not fully processed her words when her arms left him, and she disappeared, leaving him unsteady and nearly collapsing forward.

A gentle force supported him, flipping him to lie on his back, saving him from a less-than-graceful fall.

The Sword Sect fairy had vanished, along with the mini Soulblade Specter he had presented.

Sitting up, Luo Wusheng sensed her aura behind one of the palace's jade pillars, its presence obscured from his view except for a hint of a sleeve. Yet, her energy felt chaotic.

'She said 'wait'... but if things had continued, then…'

His lips felt dry as he glanced back at the jade pillar concealing her.

Yes, it seemed they were both willing; it could have progressed naturally. And even though it hadn't, her words still lingered in his mind.

Meanwhile, behind the jade pillar, Ling Shuangxue raised her hand to fix her robe. Her other hand held a delicate wooden box containing the Sword Intent from the Soulblade Specter, which had been processed using a secret Sword Sect technique. Satisfied, she put it away in her storage pouch.

The purpose of her journey fulfilled, her thoughts remained anything but calm.

'With the Soulblade Specter matter settled…'

In her original plan, she had intended to reveal her identity and broach the topic of forming a Dao companionship. Yet, as she pressed her back against the pillar, her mind became clouded, the Sword Heart subtly transforming.

'I'd better wait a little longer... I need to regain some of the feeling when my sword heart had not changed in the past...'

'I can't be anxious at this time...'

Ling Shuangxue's temperament was subtly changing.
