Chapter 14 - The Miracle of love

Eyes That Refuse to Look Away:

I got you, like As if I had found a world like…

In the desolations of a desolate heart, as soon as I found you…

I glanced at you, and I lost my all control…

Among a thousand faces—as if I had found your face…

Richer entered the bedroom laughing, and without a pause, picked up the cushions from the bed and tossed them at Ramesh. Ramesh laughed in return, grabbing a cushion and hurling it back at him. In moments, the room was filled with laughter, playful shouts, and the sound of joy echoing between them.

Ramish chased after Richer—sometimes Richer leapt from the bed to the sofa, sometimes Ramesh lunged after him. At last, Ramesh caught him and pulled him close, both of them tumbling onto the bed together. Holding his hand tightly, Ramesh whispered with deep emotion:

"Richer… having you meet in my life again feels nothing short of a miracle."

He bent down, placing a soft kiss upon Richer's eyelids, then gently moved back and said:

"Richer… the beauty of your face is beyond compare."

With that, Ramish pressed a tender kiss upon his forehead.

For a few moments, Richer remained silent, gazing at Ramish with eyes full of love, before speaking softly:

"Ramish… even today, you love me with the same intensity. Your eyes refuse to look at anyone but me. But Ramish… loving someone with such madness is dangerous. Hearts often break in such love."

Ramish smiled faintly and replied:

"Richer… love without a little madness is no love at all."

With that, he kissed Richer gently on the cheek. Richer, smiling mischievously, suddenly leapt onto Ramish's stomach, pinning his hands behind him as he laughed:

"I'm a star, Ramish… you don't get permission for so many kisses!"

Looking into his eyes, Ramish said tenderly:

"You may be a star to the world… but to me, you are my love. The owner of a beautiful heart. Having you feels like I've gained the entire universe."

Richer tilted his head with a playful grin and said:

"Ramish, all this running around has made me so hungry! I need something to eat."

Ramish gazed into his eyes lovingly and whispered:

"After seeing you, Richer… all my hunger disappears."

Richer shook his head in mock annoyance and exclaimed:

"Raaamissssshhh…!" Then bursting into laughter, he added:

"Fine! I'll just order something to eat right now."

Ramish laughed and replied,

"So, are you planning to eat while still sitting on my stomach? Fine then… as you wish."

Richer chuckled, got off him, and placed an order for food on his phone. Then, he took out some clothes from the wardrobe and handed them to Ramish.

"Here, Ramish… you freshen up first, then I'll go."

As soon as Ramish took the clothes, he held them close and inhaled deeply, speaking in a dazed, affectionate tone:

"Richer… even these clothes carry your fragrance."

Richer blushed, laughing softly.

"Enough, Ramish… stop with these things now. Freshen up quickly, or the food will arrive and we'll still be in this state."

Smiling, Ramish said,

"Alright."

He went into the washroom. Meanwhile, Richer began tidying up the messy room. A few minutes later, when Ramish came out, refreshed, he looked around in surprise.

"Wow, Richer… you've completely changed the look of this room!"

With a smile, Richer replied,

"Well, we both turned it into a battlefield, so I thought I'd fix it a little."

"You should've waited for me," Ramish said. "I would've helped you."

"It wasn't that much work," Richer shrugged. "Now, I'll go freshen up."

Ramish teased in a playful tone:

"Richer, if you need company, I can come along."

Richer laughed out loud.

"No, that won't be necessary." And as he walked away, he called back,

"Ramish, if the food arrives, just receive it."

Moments later, there was a knock at the door. Ramish went to collect the food and carefully set it out on the table. Standing by the washroom door, he called out:

"Richer, the food's here."

Soon after, Richer stepped out, fresh and glowing, wrapped in a bathrobe. Ramish's eyes instantly froze on him; he couldn't look away.

"Come on, Ramish, let's eat," Richer said casually. But Ramish was too lost, too enchanted, just staring.

With a little snap of his fingers, Richer brought him back.

"Ramish, where are you lost?"

Ramish quickly answered, "Nowhere."

But once again, his gaze wandered—this time to the glimpse of Richer's chest peeking from beneath the bathrobe. It was impossibly alluring.

Richer noticed, startled, and quickly pulled his robe tighter to cover himself, blushing deeply. Ramish coughed lightly, then smiled mischievously as like he nothing looked away.

With a questioning tone, Richer asked:

"Ramish… why are you smiling like that?"

Lowering his eyes, Ramish softly replied:

"No reason… just like that."

Richer grew a little serious.

"Ramish, you should really learn to control your eyes."

Ramish grinned, smoothly changing the subject:

"Alright, let's eat now."

They sat at the table, placing the plates before them. A quiet stillness lingered for a few moments before Ramish broke it with a smile:

"Richer… today I realized something. You look even more beautiful with wet hair… and your chest—"

Before he could finish his talk, Richer's face flushed and he broke into a shy little cough. Ramish immediately poured water into a glass, handed it over, and said in a gentle tone:

"Richer… eat slowly, take it easy."

Richer suddenly looked at him with a half-smile, yet his tone carried quiet seriousness:

"Ramish… so its mean that, You were staring because you were looking at my chest?"

Terrified Ramish drink some water and immediately said:

"No, no, Richer… it's not like that."

With a hint of reproach, Richer replied,

"Ramish… that's not a good thing. You should control your eyes."

Ramish lowered his gaze, a faint, guilty smile tugging at his lips. In a soft, trembling voice, he whispered,

"Richer… I never meant to upset you. It's just… you looked so beautiful, I couldn't help myself."

Richer sipped the water and, laughing softly, said:

"Ramish… maybe you should also pay attention to your own food instead of staring at me the whole time."

Ramish smiled warmly and replied:

"Richer, for years I longed just to see your face. Now that you're sitting before me, tell me—how can I possibly stop myself?"

The richer one lightly scratched his nose with his finger and said: Ramish… eat your food quietly."

And so, the two of them ate together—peacefully, contentedly. In the air around them, there was a sense of closeness and serenity… as if years of hunger and thirst had finally been quenched, not by the food, but simply by the presence of each other.
