The room of the ship that I was in was a large cube shaped room that had nothing in it except for the small sun that was used to recharge my battery.
It had been three months since the battle at the ruins of our creator, where it all began because of a scared Terran that was not willing to join our cause.
In a panic, he had activated a beacon that had brought a set of new invaders to the ruins.
During the last three months, our presence was unnoticed by the other species in this galaxy that was at war. This war was the best form of distraction, which allowed me to gather more ships from the many ruins of our creators across the galaxy without be noticed.
"Fulkore, we have finally been able to get the astral magnetic frequency of the piece of the map that we possess that with the help of the other pieces will tell us the secret location of The Zularians" I heard Cathrine's voice said to me in my head.
"Then we should set a course for whereever the new location is right away. You have my permission to tell all the captains of our many ships what to do. I must go and investigate something on my own.
Please serve me well and think of what is best for the collective while I am gone." I said, then I cut my link to her and walked out of the simple room that I was in.
I had to go down to the planet below, where one of my scientists had found an anomaly on the planet as we scanned it for an ancient technology of our creators.
During the scan, the scientist told me that she had found an odd lifeform on the planet below that read to be a machine that had the biological readings of The Demetra.
The odds that there was mechanical Demetra were very slim, and if that was even possible was too amazing for me to ignore. The thought of being the first being to discover a new type of Demetra was going to be a top priority for me.
Since I was now no longer just a Terran, but so much more, I was not worried about what I would find on this frozen world below.
Why are you wasting our time that is currently meant for finding the map pieces that will lead us to the secret location of The Zularians by going to the planet below to investigate a blip on the radar?
"You know exactly why I must go. My curiosity about what was spotted down there still makes it to where I can be the first person to spot a new species that logically should not exist as a species in our galaxy. That is reason enough for me to go down to the planet below." I said as I entered a room in the ship that was intended for an experimental method of transportation that a group of the scientists that had been working on for the last two weeks.
In this room, I saw that there was a circular metal platform that had a small cube shaped section that was to the left of the platform. This section had wires that were running down from the bottom of it to a semi-circle power source that had what looked like Pure Paradisus.
"I still think that Fulkore is taking a certain level of unnecessary dangerous risks by trying to use himself as the first person to use this experimental form of transportation. The least that he could do is let one of us try it first because if he was to shatter into a million circuits." One of the scientists said as I walked into the room because he did not notice that I had entered.
"The reason why I am going to be the one to test it out is because I would not be a good leader if I never put myself at risk and always let all of you that follow me sacrifice yourself for our cause."
I think that it is very logical for your followers to die for you. If you get to survive the collective does not collapse. This scientist's logic is sound. You are acting dangerously human. Remember that you are no longer Terran then you should be no longer clouded by the weakness of emotions.
I chose to ignore the input of my ai since I knew that he would not want to take control of our shared body at this time since he could only take control for a few minutes at a time.

I cut him off by stepping onto the platform without hesitating.
"Throw caution to the wind and just activate it. I want to see what is on the planet below". I said in an excited voice as I made it to the teleporter after activating it myself.
As soon as I had stepped onto the platform I was enveloped by a type of blue lightning and then the ship vanished from my sight. I saw nothing except the energy that surrounded me and every passing moment in this dark void made me feel a wave of separation because the voices of the other members of my collective were gone. I was all alone in this journey to the planet below.
After the eternity of darkness, I noticed that the area around me was starting to take shape. The area slowly became form what looked like the shape of a mountain and beneath that I started to make out that there was a cave entrance about thirty feet in front of where I was currently at.
The energy around me started to vanish and my robot body began to take form. First my feet became solid and I saw that they were standing on the floor of a rocky and barren world. Then the rest of my body took form one section after the other.
My connection to the rest of the collective was still not active after the teleportation was successful. While this could be bad since I could not even hear my ai speaking in my mind as usual I thought that the quiet was amazing.
I was in an excited mood when I heard a loud booming noise and quickly saw a set of ships fly overhead to the other side of the mountain. This made me run for the inside of the cave since I was not alone.
The skies went silent and then I saw a group of three solders that were all in full body armor that was black and red with the symbol of a white lion on them. This group must be from an empire that I did not know of.
"Remember that we scanned the entire planet and this was only one of five Demetra settlements. We need to be careful when we fight them because we will have no idea what types of evolution that they might have obtained. Be on guard at all time." the man in the center of the group said as soon as they all came into my field vison from inside the cave. "We will purge the galaxy of all disgusting non-human life starting with these Demetra. For the glory of the Carthaine Empire."
Then as I was about to try and sneak deeper into the cave to try and find another way off this rock since I had only come to see this new type of Demetra the ground began to shake underneath my feet.
A few moments later the ground split open and I fell into the splitting earth.
