Kyan didn't even blink as the two bouncers stepped in and shut the door behind them with a dull click.
One of them cracked his knuckles, slow. The other just smiled, that smug kind of smile like this was routine.
"You need a little lesson, huh?" the taller one said, walking forward. "You think you're better than the rest of 'em?"
"I'm not doing it," he said again, jaw tight. "No matter what you try."
That's when the shorter one lunged—grabbed his arm too rough, fingers biting into skin. Kyan yanked away, but the second guy was already behind him, blocking the door.
His heart thundered. His hands balled into fists.

The taller guy grabbed his hoodie and shoved him against the wall.
