He smirked, dark and amused. "I knew you were hiding something from me."
His eyes found hers, but she had shut them tight, refusing to meet his gaze. I am dead. I am so dead. Blazar's mind screamed in panic.
"Open your eyes," he commanded, his voice cutting through the silence.
Blazar shook her head frantically, her body trembling.
"Don't make me make you," he warned.
Blazar pressed her lips together. "I don't want to go blind."
He let out a cold chuckle, the sound sending chills down her spine. "Blazar, stop being stupid. There's nothing like going blind the moment your eyes see light."
Blazar frowned, her hands reaching out blindly. "Give me my glasses."
"Why did you hide that you're a girl from me?" His voice sounded uncertain, almost vulnerable, which was so unlike him that it made her heart skip.
Blazar kept quiet, her silence stretching between them like a wall.
