Chapter 171 - Chapter 171-7: Death of Krieg Pirates

Admiral Krieg!

Throughout all of East Blue, there is hardly anyone who doesn't know his name.

In the sea that is already called the weakest, he controls a colossal force: fifty pirate ships and fully five thousand subordinates. The title "Overlord of East Blue" is no empty boast.

So it's no wonder he doesn't take the Arlong Pirates seriously.

In sheer size, the Krieg Pirates are easily more than ten times larger than Arlong's crew.

To Krieg, they aren't even in the same league.

True, his own bounty is only 17 million berries—less than Arlong's 20 million.

But his officers are formidable: "Demon Man" Gin with a 12 million bounty, the "Iron Wall" Pearl famed for absolute defense, and many more.

Taken together, his overall might far surpasses Arlong's.

Amid the frightened stares of everyone present, Admiral Krieg strode forward, brandishing an enormous golden war lance.

Each step shook the entire floating restaurant, Baratie, as if a mountain were moving.

He was sheathed head‑to‑toe in perfectly fitted, heavy golden armor, looking like a terrifying war machine—a walking fortress of gold.

The awe of the East Blue Overlord, combined with the crushing aura he exuded, plunged the restaurant into instant silence.

"Iron Fist" Fullbody, who had been swaggering moments earlier, now trembled, too scared to utter a word.

Baratie's staff had all turned pale.

Only Red‑Leg Zeff remained calm, arms folded, quietly watching from the second‑floor balcony.

Krieg sneered, glanced at Zeff, and then fixed his gaze on Chiyu.

"You killed Arlong and wiped out his crew—that shows you've got some skill. I'd like to see it for myself."

Sword's face tensed.

"Chiyu-sama, shall we act?"

Before Chiyu could reply, Nami burst out:

"Chiyu-sama, since he's walked right to us, we won't have to hunt him down!"

Just then…

Fullbody was tiptoeing away, hoping to slip out unnoticed.

Krieg didn't even look; he simply swung his war lance down toward Fullbody.

BOOM!

A violent blast of wind erupted, flinging tables, chairs, and fine dishes into the air.

The lance weighed a full ton.

Fullbody, famed "Iron Fist" or not, had no courage to oppose Krieg. Trying to sneak off, he was caught by surprise, and terror drained the color from his face.

"Aaah—!"

He screamed, closed his eyes, sure he was dead—then suddenly—

BANG!

The expected agony never came.

Fullbody cracked one eye open and saw a sight he would remember for life:

The massive, destructive lance was stopped—by one hand.

It was—

Uchiha Chiyu.

Fullbody gasped and collapsed, half‑relieved, half‑shocked.

"Why… why did you save me?"

Krieg's brow furrowed.

"You blocked my lance? So you do have skill.

But that coward mocked you—why bother saving him?"

Chiyu replied coolly, "His mouth is foul, but not deserving of death."

Krieg snorted.

"A man like you, talking about mercy?"

"You have no right to judge me," Chiyu said.

With that, his eyes flashed crimson, his body hardened with Tekkai, and he punched.

RUMBLE!

The enormous spear was blasted away, cracks spider‑webbing through its golden shaft.

"Wh—!" Krieg's face changed.

Only now did he realize how unfathomable this man was—equal to him even in strength.

And those eyes—

"What eyes are those? Blood‑red… like demon eyes from hell!"

The onlookers gasped.

Chiyu moved without hesitation, unleashing Rokushiki.

"Soru!"

Whoosh— He vanished, reappearing before Krieg to attack.

"Rankyaku!"

Bam! Bam! Bam! Bladelike shockwaves shot straight for Krieg's unprotected face.

Krieg, both angry and alarmed, countered:

"Diamond Gauntlet!"

He threw his fist, a steel glove set with a huge diamond, against the Rankyaku blades.

BOOM! The clash forced Krieg back, though the diamond held.

Snarling, he unleashed another barrage.

"Poison Gas Bomb!"

Everyone recoiled—yet what he fired were not gas bombs but missiles packed with hidden shuriken. Cruel and deceitful.

Chiyu drew his Sword Yukizō, its blade flickering like shooting stars as he deflected every projectile. He snorted:

"False Darkness Slash!"

BZZT— Lightning wrapped Yubashiri, turning it into a thunder blade.

He slashed at the joint of Krieg's golden armor.

CRASH! One stroke—Krieg's huge arm was severed, blood spurting.

A beat later, lightning exploded from the wound—

RUMBLE! Krieg screamed as his shoulder and part of his chest were blown apart, a mangled ruin of flesh.

His hysterical shrieks echoed through Baratie.

"Damn you! I'll kill you!"

He endured the pain, swung the spear again—

Chiyu dodged easily. The spear struck the floor and detonated.

KA-BOOM!!!

Half the restaurant exploded in splinters and shockwaves. Chaos reigned.

Chiyu frowned, unwilling to endanger bystanders.

He flashed with Soru, appeared before Krieg, and kicked—the hulking pirate, weapon and all, hurtled out the window.

Outside, Chiyu's marines were already clashing with Krieg's men; a full‑scale battle erupted.

Krieg unfurled his Spiked Mantle, a cloak bristling with blades—his defense against close‑quarters fighters like Chiyu. If he could keep Chiyu at bay, he thought, he wouldn't lose.

But he had no idea who he was facing.

Chiyu's eyes chilled. He formed seals, gathered more lightning—

A giant thunder spear roared forth, striking Krieg.

The metal spikes only conducted the current, paralyzing him with agonizing pain.

"Is… is that a Devil Fruit power?!"

Broken and numb, Krieg dropped to his knees, staring blankly.

Ninja and ninjutsu do exist in the One Piece world, but only in distant Wano.

Few in East Blue know, so Krieg naturally mistook the lightning style for a Devil Fruit.

Chiyu showed no mercy.

He used Geppō, stepped through the air, closed in—

"Shigan!"

This Shigan was infused with lightning—an instant kill.

Krieg, terrified, begged: "D‑don't kill me… If I don't return, Gin will lead our five‑thousand‑strong fleet here, and you'll all—"

Chiyu finished the sentence coolly: "—die."

Thwip! Thwip!

The lightning Shigan pierced Krieg's throat, then exploded, blowing a huge hole through his neck.

He gurgled soundlessly and collapsed.

The East Blue Overlord, Admiral Krieg—was dead.

For a moment, everyone was stunned.

The man who had ruled East Blue like an emperor, feared by civilians, marines, and pirates alike, had fallen so easily.

Even Zeff frowned. "What a formidable man…"

Sanji turned white, the earlier beating now etched as trauma.

Nami cheered, "Beautifully done, Chiyu-sama!"

Sword and the marines swiftly subdued or captured the remaining pirates.

Yet Sword approached, worried.

"Chiyu-sama… killing Krieg is gratifying, but his warning may be true. If Gin realizes Krieg is gone, he could lead the fleet here. Five thousand pirates… We have only two hundred marines…"

Chiyu was unmoved. "Why wait for them to come to us?"

"You mean… strike first? But the numbers—and it's their turf…"

Chiyu said nothing. Searching Krieg's corpse, he found a chart of their island—and another chart: part of the Grand Line. The Krieg Pirates had been planning to enter it.

Chiyu snorted. Even if they reached the Grand Line, Mihawk would annihilate them.

Zeff muttered, "So they wanted the Grand Line… Fools. Ruling East Blue doesn't qualify them for that sea."

Chiyu noticed. He knew Zeff had once been a pirate captain, but now he was just a limping restaurateur. Chiyu had no interest in killing the man.

Fullbody stepped up, ashamed.

"Sorry for my earlier insolence… Thank you for saving me! If you need help, tell me!"

He admitted HQ had sent him to destroy the Krieg Pirates, but fear held him back.

"I have a thousand marines. If you wish, we'll join you in wiping out Krieg's crew."

Sword was delighted. "With a thousand trained sailors alongside us, we can beat those five thousand rabble—though a frontal assault would still cost heavy casualties…"

Chiyu nodded, already planning.

"Let's go."

He led the group away from Baratie. Sword, Fullbody, and a reluctant‑to‑leave Nami followed.

Zeff and Sanji watched them depart—and saw that Chiyu had left part of Krieg's treasure behind to fund repairs. Zeff was shaken.

"What kind of man is that… Ruthless in combat, yet so considerate… I've sailed the Grand Line and seen much, but I can't see through him."

Sanji was equally stunned, emotions mixed.

"Chiyu-sama, the plan?"

Chiyu ordered his flagship Uchiha to rendezvous with Fullbody's ship, but he himself boarded Krieg's vessel.

Nami clapped. "A‑ha! Chiyu-sama will impersonate Krieg and catch them unprepared!"

Only then did Sword and Fullbody realize, feeling sheepish that Nami figured it out first.

"But will they really be fooled…?"

Chiyu formed hand seals.

POOF!

The smoke cleared—Admiral Krieg stood before them, flawless.

Everyone froze.

Fullbody stammered, "Th‑the legendary Copy‑Copy Fruit?! The user can become anyone…?"

"Krieg" smiled coldly. In the Naruto world, this was a grade‑school jutsu—the basic Transformation Technique. Simple, crude—yet in One Piece, a staggering ability.

No one in this world expects someone to transform flawlessly, so the Copy‑Copy Fruit is feared. Here, such a disguise would work perfectly.

"Let's move!"

Chiyu, disguised as Krieg, stood at the prow while two navy ships trailed with their insignia hidden. A foolproof setup.

All were awed by Chiyu's unfathomable skills.

Soon they reached the Krieg Pirates' base.

Gin and the others, relieved to see "Krieg" safe, lowered defenses and welcomed them.

Chiyu stepped ashore—and without hesitation swung the "war lance"—

killing Gin in a single blow.

At his command, over a thousand marines charged, roaring.

Leaderless, unprepared, and terrified, the pirates crumbled, scattering in panic.
