Chapter 1 - How it All begin

"Breaking news, Billionaire playboy Edward Mayers purchases ECWZ."

"Another Billonaire joins the world of wrestling, what will become of ECWZ?"

"New owner of ECWZ says he will explain his motives tomorrow at a press conference as well as explain the vision he has for ECWZ going forward."

The wrestling community was not sure of how to react to this. They feel as if they saw this before with WCW, TNA and now AEW, Another Billionaire playing wrestling gm mode with people's careers.

Meanwhile, in a penthouse in Philadelphia. Edward wakes up and looks himself in the mirror. "So it wasn't a dream after all, I really did wake up as a Billionaire. Great" he said sarcastically.

Although he was happy that he was a billionaire, he didn't like what was coming next. He had no experience of running a company and now he was in charge of people's careers. In his past life he died as a middle aged man who spent his days working at McDonald's. Late at night he would go home to his motel to play WWE2K to kill the boredom. But one day, fate took a turn fir the worse.

On his way home, he was almost hit by a track. Luckily he got out of the way in time. Bit, luck doesn't strike twice. While he was on his way home he noticed a young girl chasing her ball on the road, a bus was coming in at top speed. The diver tried by all means to hot the breaks by he couldn't, noticing that Alex ran and pushed the girl out the way, but it all led to him getting hit by a bus and dying instead.

As if life was rewarding him, it sent him back intime in the body of Edward Mayers. But, the money aside. Edward Mayers had a bad reputation of being a guy who abuses his money. Being the only child of a Eddie Mayers he grew up spoiled hence a lot of people didn't like him. And now, his fate was Alex's.

Edward takes a deep sigh as he slowly moves away from the mirror. After taking a hot shower, he heads down to the garage. Before him stood a total of 12 cars, some more valued than the others. But today he was just in the mood for driving his Ferrari LA Ferrari. He makes his way to where the press conference is held, as he walks in the room he could see the number of reporters who where present. He slowly makes his way to stage and greets everyone.

Nervously. "Good morning everyone, it's a pleasure to have you all here tonight." The atmosphere was tense, but he knew he had to do what was needed. "As you all know, I have bought the indie Promotion known as Elite Championship Wrestling Zone, or ECWZ foe short. The plan is simple, I aim to make it a big household name within the next few years. It might take time due to competition being high. But, I believe that with the talent we have on hand it can be possible. Any questions?"

The reporter's hand raised. It wasn't long until he chose one reporter at random.

"Hello, my name is Samantha Creed. I'm here on behalf of Wrestling world. Now, Mr Mayers. You say your vision is to make it a big household in future. But with the limited roster you have on hand, how do you plan to archive such a feat."

"Well, Mrs creed. It's simple. We gave 30 wrestlers here 16 of them being male and 14 being female. I have much respect to the work they've been doing so far, but if we aim to compete with the best it means we have to also sign the best to add to our already outstanding number of talents."

"By adding more talents. Are you planning on hiring indie wrestlers as well, or looking to steal some wrestlers from other companies?"

"It's simple. If you're a indie guy and we feel like you have something to bring to the show we will reach out. But, If you're a talent who is currently frustrated from how they use you in your respective promotion or you're contract is up and you're looking for a new challenge, than this is the place to go. Any other questions"

"Hey, my name is Brian Amber. Mr Mayers, my question is whether or not you're going to continue the ECWZ as it is or are you looking to rebrand it as a whole?"

Edward took a moment before responding. "As much as I like it the way it is, I'm going to rebrand it. Firstly the name ECWZ, drop the Z and it's ECW. Hearing that name only reminds me of the ECW promotion that died years back. Don't get me wrong, I loved watching it. But, we can't move forward while still stuck in the past. So I'm going for a new name, I think I'll have it ready by next week."

The back and forth questions continued for about an hour, and after everything was said amd done. Edward told the reporters to wait and see what he had installed, he promised then that surprises where to come their way.

A few seconds later, it was revealed to the world that ECWZ will host its first paper view under Edward Mayers in a months time.

"Thank you all for coming today. Usually ECWZ makes one paper view event once every 3 months, but next month on the twentyfirst of June we will host another one. This will be the last one under the ECWZ name, I hope to see you there because trust me, you would want to miss out in the surprises we have installed."

And just like that, the confress had ended. The next step was Edward making his way to the a building he had purchased. The building was to serve as the home base of his new promotion. He had called all wrestlers under his promotion there for a meeting. As he walks in, he finds the writers there waiting for him with the wrestlers. The room was filled with mixed vibes and he could feel it. While some where anxious to see the new boss, some where annoyed that a guy with close to no knowledge about the sport was taking over.

Edward made his was to the front of the room and stood there quietly for about half a minute before he finally spoke.

"Look, I know you don't want me here. I can feel it in the way you looked at me while I walked in. Well guess what, I don't give a damn. You're job starting now is to make me money and my job will be to make you money as well. I won't act like I watched what was happening on the promotion before I bought it, but I did some research and got to know a fee things. You all suck when it comes to cutting promos, so I took the liberty of hiring someone who will help you fix that."

The door opens and a fomer wrestler, currently a WWE Hall of fame in his own right walks in.

"Ladies and gentlemen. This is JBL, staring now he will be in charge of your promotion skills. I won't change anything more, for now. However I will tell you this. My mission is to make this the greatest thing on the planet, if you don't like the way I walk, the way I talk or the way I dress, you're free to go. I will gladly give you your release....But, if you do choose to stay. I will not forget it and I will award you when the time is right. So, what's it gonna be?" He said.

The room fell silent and nobey dared spike after. This was him letting them know that he wasn't here to play, nor was he here to nurse their feelings. Growing up he watched a lot of interviews about wrestlers amd their bosses, about what led to WCWs down fall and ge want aiming to make the same mistake. After seeing that no one in the room had any complaints, at least for now that is. He slowly walked out of the room leaving JBL to mentor the group.

After leaving the room, he went to what was going to be his office. There he set and looked at the ceiling. Catching his breath. A second later, he picked up his phone and started calling all the talent WWE had released prior that month. The first one was none other than Brock Lasner. He tried by all means to get a hold of him, but the man didn't pick up his phone. Not that Edward was mad. He understood very well the Loyalty Brock had for WWE, so he didn't make too much of a deal out of it. But, he knew that his company needed a star, someone who will bring in more fans and more views.

The second call he made that day was to another former WWE guy, but this guy was released ages ago. The fomer WWE United state champion Matt Cardona FKA Zack Ryder.

"Hello, may I speak with Matt, please?"

"This is him, how can I help you?."

"Matt, I'm Edward Mayers. The new owner of ECWZ. I think you know why I'm calling."

Matt didn't waist no time in responding. "Let me guess, you want me to come work for you?"

"Yes." Edward instantly responded. "I'm looking to build a roster of talented wrestlers, and your name came up frequently in my research," Edward continued. "Your charisma, in-ring ability, and dedication to your craft are qualities I admire. I believe you'd be a fantastic addition to ECWZ."

Matt Cardona chuckled on the other end of the line. "Well, I'll give you credit, Edward. You're not wasting any time getting to the point. I have to admit, I'm intrigued. What's the vision for ECWZ, and what kind of role do you see me playing in the company?"

Edward leaned back in his chair, a smile spreading across his face. "I want it to be a platform for talented wrestlers to showcase their skills, with a focus on storytelling, athleticism, and entertainment. I see you as a top talent, potentially even a main eventer or champion. We're looking to build a strong roster, and I believe you'd be a key part of that."

Matt Cardona's tone turned thoughtful. "That sounds like a great opportunity. I'd love to hear more about the specifics – creative control, contract terms, that kind of thing. I'm not just looking for a paycheck; I want to be part of something meaningful."

Edward nodded, even though Matt couldn't see him. "Absolutely, Matt. I'm willing to offer competitive terms and give you a significant amount of creative input. Let's discuss the details further. Would you be available to meet in person or talk more over the phone?"

"I'd love to talk more," Matt replied. "Let's set up a time to discuss further. I'm interested in exploring this opportunity."

Edward smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. This could be the start of something big for ECWZ. "I'll send over some dates and times. Let's schedule a call for next week. Sound good to you?"

"Sounds perfect," Matt said. "Looking forward to it, Edward."

As the call ended, Edward felt a sense of optimism. Maybe ECWZ was going to be more than just a dream after all.

Two days after Edward's call with Matt Cardona, the wrestling world was abuzz with rumors that ECWZ had signed an impressive list of talents. The names circulating online where Nhooph Al-Areebi (formerly Aliyah), Shanya Blazer, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Jakara Jackson, Carmella, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Braun Strowman, Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, Shotzi, and Blair Davenport.

The news sparked a mix of excitement and skepticism among fans. Some were thrilled at the prospect of seeing these wrestlers in action under the ECWZ banner, while others wondered if the company had the resources and infrastructure to support such high-profile talent.

Edward, meanwhile, remained tight-lipped about the rumors. He was busy finalizing contracts and making arrangements for the upcoming announcements. His team was working around the clock to prepare for the launch of ECWZ, and the anticipation was building.

As the rumors continued to spread, the wrestling community couldn't help but speculate about the potential storylines and matchups that could emerge with this talented roster. Would Braun Strowman be the monster of the ring, tearing through opponents with ease? Could Carmella and Mandy Rose form a formidable tag team, or would they be pitted against each other in a series of intense matches? What made these signinging even more thrilling was that they are all former WWE guys and girls in their own right.

The possibilities were endless, and fans were eagerly awaiting the official announcements from ECWZ. Little did they know, Edward had some surprises in store that would shake up the wrestling world in ways they never expected.

In the midst of the chaos, Edward sat in his office, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. The pieces were falling into place, and ECWZ was ready to make its mark on the wrestling landscape. The question was, would it be a grand slam or a strikeout? Only time would tell.
