Chapter 38 - Chapter 118: The Number One Troublemaker

Upon hearing this, Yu Xiaogang's pupils shrank—Miss Dong'er was actually the newly appointed Saintess of the Spirit Hall.

And the new Saintess of the Spirit Hall was now engaged to that Zhao bastard. In other words, Miss Dong'er was already Zhao Ling's fiancée.

He felt a chill run through his heart. Even though he had long guessed that by the time he got out of this dungeon, Miss Dong'er might already be married to someone else, he had never imagined that in just a short ten or twenty days of confinement, she would already be engaged—to that bastard Zhao Ling.

What shocked him the most was that Zhao Ling turned out to be a Titled Douluo. That was something he could never have predicted.

Zhao Ling, a dignified Titled Douluo, actually stole the woman he loved! Yu Xiaogang was filled with fury.

Zhao Ling already had such outstanding talent, becoming a Titled Douluo at a young age—why couldn't he focus on cultivating? Why did he have to pester Miss Dong'er?

Why was the world so unfair? Not only did he have poor talent for cultivation, but now he couldn't even win a woman's heart over that Zhao bastard! Unbearable!

At this moment, the hatred in Yu Xiaogang's eyes was so intense that the three elders around him could feel it. They thought he was still mad about being beaten.

The three elders were furious. This useless brat had no abilities, and he still dared to glare at them like that? They immediately surrounded him again and gave him another savage beating.

This time, to avoid killing him, they focused their blows on his limbs—areas less likely to cause severe internal injuries, though the surface wounds would be painful.

Suddenly, a sharp crack echoed. The Third Elder, in a moment of carelessness, broke Yu Xiaogang's right leg with a kick.

He immediately broke into a cold sweat, trembling uncontrollably from the pain. The First and Second Elders glared daggers at the Third Elder and scolded him.

"Can't you control yourself? If the clan leader finds out, we're all screwed."

The Third Elder scratched his head and quickly explained, "Sorry, I got carried away and used too much force. It's not my fault—this brat's just too damn weak."

"You find someone to heal him. Just don't let the clan leader see him like this. Let's go," the First Elder said coldly.

Casting a final glance at Yu Xiaogang, who lay on the floor like a dead dog, he turned and walked away. The Second Elder quickly followed.

The Third Elder spat on Yu Xiaogang in disgust.

"What a disgrace. If you weren't the clan leader's son, you would've been kicked out of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan ages ago. You're useless at everything—except causing trouble! Tch…"

With that, the Third Elder also left the dungeon, now troubled over where to find a healing-type soul master to fix the boy's broken leg.

He deeply regretted kicking so hard—now he had to clean up the mess himself.

After the iron door of the dungeon was shut, Yu Xiaogang could only lie on the ground, unable to get up. With one leg broken and his whole body in burning pain, he could only grimace and groan in agony.

The scene cuts back to Zhao Ling and his companions. After lunch, Zhao Ling checked into a hotel with Ah Yin and Bo Saixi.

He planned to settle down in Heaven Dou City. The city was lively, allowing him to enjoy life. Plus, the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well wasn't far from the capital, so he could visit it frequently.

He intended to spend the next couple of days exploring the city to find a well-priced, decently furnished home. Ah Yin had no objections to this plan.

Compared to the small village she once lived in, Heaven Dou City was bustling and expansive—making it easier for her to integrate into human society.

But for tonight, it was already late, so they had to stay at a hotel.

Zhao Ling and Ah Yin were already a couple, so naturally, they shared a couple's suite. Bo Saixi's room was about ten meters away.

Zhao Ling had originally wanted her room to be right next to theirs, but for some reason, Bo Saixi absolutely refused. She insisted on staying on the same floor but at a decent distance away.

Zhao Ling felt a bit disappointed. Now that they were all companions, why live so far apart?

Bo Saixi, on the other hand, wanted to groan inwardly. Why would she want to live so close to them? Hadn't she suffered enough yesterday watching their public displays of affection? Did he want to force-feed her more "dog food"?

Of course, she kept these thoughts to herself. After watching Zhao Ling and Ah Yin enter their room, she quickly went into hers.

The next morning, Zhao Ling and Ah Yin got up early to look for a house.

Last time, Zhao Ling had spent 50,000 gold soul coins on a soul tool for Ah Yin and some additional expenses, leaving him with less than 240,000 gold coins.

He wasn't sure how much he should spend on a house—but it couldn't be too shabby either.

Unfortunately, this world had no real estate agents or organized housing markets. If he wanted to find a house, he'd have to do it the old-fashioned way—by looking himself.

When Bo Saixi heard he planned to go house-hunting, she immediately tagged along.

She just wanted to stay close to them now. The original reason she had left Sea God Island—to find Tang Chen's whereabouts—was starting to feel unimportant.

Bo Saixi was surprised by her own change in priorities. She'd left her home just to find Tang Chen, yet now she was questioning whether she had truly moved on.

Zhao Ling, of course, had no idea what she was thinking. He simply took both women out to grab a quick breakfast from a street vendor.

After eating, the three of them began searching the city for a suitable home.

Meanwhile, in Prince Xue Xing's estate, his men had investigated all night but still failed to find out the identity of the two Titled Douluo who had entered Heaven Dou City the day before.

Prince Xue Xing looked irritated. He had clearly seen the two of them with the city guards yesterday—why was it so hard to find them?

He mulled things over, then suddenly his eyes lit up.

It wasn't just two people yesterday—the man had been carrying a woman on his back!

That meant there were actually three people. And two of the women had distinctive hair colors—one light blue, the other sea-blue.

With these new details, Prince Xue Xing realized he had been searching in the wrong direction.

Now that he had a clearer idea of what to look for, maybe finding those two Titled Douluo wouldn't be so difficult after all.

He quickly had new orders passed down, then returned to his seat, waiting confidently for good news to come…
