Chapter 2 - Goblin slayer World.

---------------------------

Luna took some time thinking about which world she would start in. It couldn't be a dangerous world like Naruto or even Marvel - if she got unlucky with the timeline, she'd die before she could do anything.

But it also couldn't be a place too peaceful because she understood that the lack of danger would prevent her from evolving, and she doubted that if she were to live in a modern world again right away, she'd immediately lose motivation to train and just become an influencer.

"The world of Goblin Slayer then?" Luna murmured to herself as she remembered this particular world. It was dangerous, deadly, but not impossible to live in. If she was careful, she could find space to grow while training and fighting.

Luna thought, and thought some more, but in the end she gave up thinking and in a moment of impulsive decision chose the world of Goblin Slayer. "Let's go, if anything goes wrong I swear I'll kick the ass of whoever made this teleport!" She shouted and in an instant a light shone on her face and she found herself beside a dirt road.

The smell of clean air entered her nostrils, making her nose itch momentarily as she looked around. In the distance she could see a town that her instincts told her was where the anime took place.

"It really wasn't a dream." Luna pinched herself and confirmed she wasn't dreaming, and at this moment she gave a wide smile and started jumping while walking toward the town.

Soon some people on the road looked at her but Luna didn't care and waved at them with a cheerful smile as she walked. "What should I do now, apply to be an adventurer, or look for another job while I try to get stronger?" She thought as she walked and looked around.

The smell of grass, the chirping of birds, the people and adventurers in medieval clothes - all of this was new to Luna who observed everything with immense curiosity. The people also looked at her curiously about who she was.

Her stunning appearance and different clothes also drew a lot of attention. Noticing this, Luna started to control herself a bit and walked normally until she reached the town gates.

The town before her had sturdy stone walls, making her look in admiration for a moment, and with quick steps she entered the line to get into town. "Hey miss, you're not from around here, are you?" An old man's voice reached her ears and she looked toward the wagon line and saw an old man looking at her with a kind smile.

(The system automatically translates any conversation.)

"Yes, that's right." She replied and the man nodded. There was a moment of silence and since the two were next in line, Luna started talking with the old man who answered calmly.

She discovered he was a merchant who went to nearby villages to trade things. The old man, seeing Luna's interest, soon started talking about his life. "But miss, what did you come to do in this town?" At one point he asked and Luna thought a bit before answering.

"I came to become an adventurer like the legendary Goblin Slayer." She said smiling, and the man upon hearing that name looked surprised and laughed loudly. "You're right, I owe my life to that young adventurer hahaha." The old man said and soon they reached the gate.

"Little girl, if you need help you can talk to me. Though I'm old, I have many acquaintances in town and outside it!" The man said and Luna bowed in thanks. Getting past the guards wasn't very difficult either.

Despite having no money or identification, it seemed quite common for young people to come to town empty-handed to try their luck as adventurers or find work in town establishments.

"How amazing." Luna murmured once more upon entering the place. She could feel a medieval melody playing in her head as she walked around admiring everything - the merchants, the adventurers, everything around her stood out making her want to explore the place.

But restraining herself, Luna asked around and soon discovered where the adventurer's guild was in town. Soon a large two-story building appeared in her view and carefully she entered the place.

Since it seemed early, there weren't many people in the guild, but one presence caught Luna's attention - the blonde receptionist from the anime was at the counter organizing some papers. Soon their eyes met and she smiled at Luna.

"It's really different seeing someone from behind a screen versus in real life." Luna thought and timidly approached the counter.

"Good morning, how may I help you?" The receptionist politely greeted her and Luna thought a bit before answering. "How do I apply to be an adventurer?" She asked and the guild receptionist's eyes opened slightly in surprise before her professionalism took over.

"Well, to apply as an adventurer just fill out this form and give me your details." Soon she placed a paper on the table along with a brush. "Well let's begin, where are you from?"

"From a very distant place." Luna answered and the receptionist froze for a moment before writing it down.

"How old are you?" This time it was Luna who froze for an instant thinking whether to say her mental or bodily age.

"I'm 18."

"I see, I see." The receptionist quickly wrote on the paper and asked a few more simple questions.

"Finally, what are your skills?"

"I'm a swordsman apprentice!" Luna said and the receptionist looked directly into her eyes as if searching for a lie, then looked her up and down. "It might be a bit rude of me to ask but where is your sword?" She said and Luna gave a shy smile.

"Well you see, I lost it." Luna said with a dry chuckle and the receptionist wrote it down before looking at her once more and sighing. "Look, I know everyone wants to be famous and renowned adventurers but if possible don't risk your life needlessly. There are many less dangerous jobs than this." The receptionist warned Luna who nodded in understanding, and with a sigh she entered a room and soon returned carrying a small badge.

"I've registered you. Your starting rank is Porcelain. The job board is over there - if you find a request that interests you just bring it to me and I'll process it and give you the necessary information."

She spoke and Luna nodded once more before impatiently going to the job board. "I hope she's not reckless." The receptionist thought, remembering several young adventurers who died taking missions considered simple and easy in hopes of quickly raising their rank.

She watched with some apprehension as Luna picked a mission from the board and soon came to the counter surprising her. "I'd like to accept this mission." Luna said and the receptionist looked at the chosen mission with surprise.

(Mission: Help the guild butcher store monster meat.)

"Are you sure you want to accept this mission? Most young adventurers avoid it despite the good reward because it's mentally exhausting and the smell of meat sticks to your body after the work." She said but Luna nodded in agreement and thus she took on her first task.

The reason she took this task was simply because they paid the daily wage along with meals, and she urgently needed money to find a place to sleep.

So rolling up her sleeves, Luna entered, met the guild butcher, and started working.

"Damn, my arms are killing me." Luna cursed under her breath as she walked toward an inn. In her hands a small bag of copper coins jingled, reminding her of today's efforts.

Her body was now dirty up to her head with blood stains and a smell of meat and blood constantly emanated from her making her want to tear up. But with renewed determination Luna soon found an inn and went to the well to throw some water on her dirty face and arms.

Her clothes would clean themselves automatically tomorrow so she only had to worry about maintaining her own personal hygiene.

After making another effort to draw water from the well, Luna sat for a bit and took a deep breath. "System activate." She murmured and a blue screen appeared in her vision. Gathering her strength, she soon stood up and took the rectangular stone in her hands.

"Now, which first technique should I learn?" Luna thought to herself. Many ideas and powerful techniques appeared in her mind. At first she considered learning the breathing techniques from Demon Slayer but soon dismissed it.

"My body is too weak to practice breathing, and I also have no sword knowledge. I need something to give me a foundation." Luna thought to herself and began looking for beginner-appropriate techniques in the system. Soon a familiar name appeared.

(Jin Sakai's Style).

Jin Sakai, the protagonist of The Ghost of Tsushima, was an excellent swordsman both technically and in combat application. Throughout the game he developed several stances to fight different enemy types, making him extremely versatile.

"Let's start with him."

With a click, the various styles and forms of Jin Sakai appeared and Luna chose the Stone Stance to begin. An invisible hologram appeared, intriguing her momentarily, and soon she stood up and observed it.

The hologram soon assumed the basic stance and began executing strikes with precision and speed, making Luna sigh in admiration. "Let's try to imitate now." Standing beside the hologram, she positioned herself and held the black rectangular stone which began to change shape.

Soon a katana the same size as the hologram's appeared and with a smile Luna began to practice.
