"Psychic, Champion, Prosecutor… Chen Xiaoxiao?! Flash Gardevoir?!"
Zhong De muttered, staring blankly at the Pokédex that displayed Chen Xiaoxiao's full League credentials.
Then his gaze landed on the glowing white Gardevoir beside her and his whole body froze.
He finally remembered.
That wasn't just any Gardevoir.
That was the iconic Flash Gardevoir, the only known shiny one officially registered to a Huaxia trainer and it belonged to Chen Xiaoxiao, the League prosecutor directly appointed by Champion Leng Xin.
Although Gardevoirs are already rare, some senior trainers in Huaxia do own one.
But a Flash variant? There's only one, and it's Chen Xiaoxiao's. No second individual exists.
Now sober through sheer terror, Zhong De's high society-trained mind finally caught up with reality.
"…I'm finished."
Realizing the scope of what he'd just done attempting to rob and attack a League official Zhong De's knees buckled. His face went pale, and before anyone could say another word, his eyes rolled back, and he passed out cold.
"Tch… and here I thought today's villains were made of tougher stuff."
Chen Xiaoxiao sighed internally as she glanced at Zhong De's limp body.
Still, she opened her Pokédex and activated a secure League channel.
"Code Black. Article 17. Criminal apprehended. Coordinates locked. Requesting Handan Division pickup."
About ten minutes later, a black armored hover-van marked with the Huaxia Pokémon Legal Enforcement Bureau crest arrived at the scene. Several agents disembarked, led by an officer from the Handan Division.
After a concise debriefing and handover of both Zhong De and the Pokédex evidence log, the team restrained the unconscious boy and secured him for legal processing.
He You was also taken in not as a suspect, but as a witness to the attempted theft and assault of a League official.

Back in her League-protected trainer space, the clock struck midnight.
Chen Xiaoxiao had already showered, changed into her fluffy Eevee-patterned pajamas, and curled up on her bed, finally taking time to assess her recent harvest from the journey between the Capital and Ghost Town.
Trainer Profile: Chen Xiaoxiao
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Special Ability: Advanced Psychic-Type Resonance (Can fully understand and communicate with Pokémon speech)
Current System Points: 35,341
Current Pokémon Team:
Solgaleo (Lv. 85) – Champion Tier
Gardevoir – Flash Variant (Lv. 81) – Champion Tier
Latias (Lv. 80) – Elite Peak
Espeon – "Sun Pokémon" (Lv. 78) – Elite Peak
Metagross (Lv. 75) – Elite Advanced
Meowstic (Lv. 70) – Elite Intermediate
Togekiss (Lv. 70) – Elite Intermediate
Lapras (Lv. 62) – Elite Primary
Every member of her main rotation had received significant power boosts, either through League-sanctioned training programs or system exchanges.
Most notably, Gardevoir had officially crossed into Champion-level combat capability. It was a proud moment her first Pokémon, her Earl Dervish Partner, and her emotional anchor.
Even Latias, the Legendary Eon Pokémon, was inching toward the Champion threshold. Chen had spent nearly all her system points earlier exchanging TMs for Latias to master a multi-type offensive kit, including Thunderbolt, Draco Meteor, and Psychic.
Now, her points were already back above 30,000, thanks to successful missions and evaluations.
Satisfied, she turned off the interface and drifted into peaceful sleep.

Over the next few days, Chen Xiaoxiao remained in Handan, awaiting the League tribunal's final verdict on Zhong De's case.
In her heart, she'd already made up her mind.
She would pursue maximum sentencing.
"If even trash-tier trainers dare to steal my Pokémon, what kind of world are we living in?" she scoffed. "If I let him off lightly, others will think I'm some kind of Hello Kitty."
Predictably, as news of Zhong De's arrest hit internal League channels, his family sprang into action.
The Zhong family, one of the old industrial steel families in Handan, tried to mobilize its influence to suppress the charges.
But the moment they discovered that the prosecutor on record was Chen Xiaoxiao, everything changed.
She wasn't just a prosecutor. She was one of the youngest Elite-tier trainers in Huaxia. Though her immediate family was gone, her individual power and her connections—were untouchable.
Only two months ago, she had humiliated Xu Fei, the so-called strongest youth trainer in Huaxia, by defeating him without letting him land a single hit.
And just weeks ago, she had solo'd a full Champion-and-Elite composite team from Japan during a cross-regional exhibition match nine versus one.
The public didn't know the details, but every top-tier family and League branch in Huaxia had received the report.
And that wasn't all.
Her backers?
Champion Leng Xin and Water Elite He Yong, two of Huaxia's most terrifying battlers—who also considered Chen Xiaoxiao a direct protégé.
The Zhong family tried to lean on relationships but found themselves stonewalled.
They reached out to He Yong.
But He Yong, a proud grassroots-born Elite who despised nepotism and corruption, didn't even respond.
Then they tried Leng Xin, who at least responded tactfully:
> "If Prosecutor Chen withdraws the charges, then the matter can be discussed."
Which, of course, meant: Absolutely not.
Desperate, the Zhong family approached other League Elites:
Li Tianming (Flying): "I'm retiring soon. Not my concern."
Sun De (Ground): "I don't interfere with kids' matters anymore."
Long Jun (Dragon): "Even if I wanted to help, my influence isn't enough."
A few Zhong family members even traveled to Shencheng, hoping to find Chen Xiaoxiao's maternal grandmother a retired Pokémon Breeder.
At first, the elderly woman welcomed them warmly.
Until she learned they were trying to plead for someone who tried to steal her granddaughter's Metagross.
She kicked them out on the spot.
"Don't be fooled," people said. "Chen Xiaoxiao's grandma might just be a breeder, but she's a former Elite herself and still holds a full team."
---
Meanwhile, Chen Xiaoxiao lay low in her private League-certified space, evading all contact.
No one outside her inner circle knew how to reach her.
And those who did?
Refused to help the Zhong family.
---
During this time, she got a call from Xu Fei.
> "Xiao Xiaoxiao… you're really not gonna show mercy for old times' sake? You've already taught me a lesson once. Can't you—"
Chen Xiaoxiao cut him off flatly:
"Give me your Entei, then maybe I'll consider it."
Dead silence.
Then—
> "...Sorry to bother you. Goodbye."
Xu Fei hung up.
He'd only called because the Zhong elders begged him to try. But when he imagined someone trying to take his own Entei, he instantly understood.
The Zhong family kept trying.
But no progress.
Finally, after several days, the official judgment came down from the League tribunal.
Zhong De was found guilty on three charges:
1. Attempted Theft of Registered Pokémon (Metagross)
2. Commanding Pokémon to Attack a Human
3. Assault on a League Officer (Prosecutor)
His sentence?
Decades in prison.
And with that, Chen Xiaoxiao closed the case file and prepared to resume her journey.
A lightness filled her heart.
Justice had been served.
Time to move forward.
