Synopsis
Sieg was a regular college student who was failing his dreams at a good career. In a twist of fate, he ended up reincarnating into Mushoku Tensei. Given this opportunity, he won't give up on his ambitions like his last life. In this fantasy world, he can achieve anything. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This character will be a fairly overpowered character, however he has no knowledge of anything that happened in Mushoku Tensei. To him, this is just a fantasy world. He has no idea what powers he has but they will be shown and revealed in the first couple of chapters, you may even figure it out before it's revealed. I'm still undecided who's going to be romanced and whether there is going to be smut. So we will see what happens.

Chapter 1 - Fantasy World?

Again. How many times do I need to be rejected until I get a job offer. Sieg sighed. No one had told him how hard getting any relevant job or internship for his major would be.

I mean, everyone says how stable accounting is, but here we are, a couple hundred applications in. Sieg keeps walking to his next class, dreading having to do statistics, his mood was already down from his most recent rejection, but alas there's nothing he can do about it.

He continues to walk up the stairs to reach the classroom on the third floor.

As he walks up the stairs, he doesn't hear the echoing of footsteps quickly approaching from above, lost in his thoughts. Seemingly out of nowhere, he feels a sudden impact hit him in the chest just as he reached the second floor.

Unfortunately, he had no time to react and before he realized it he started falling. He was too late, he fell backwards tumbling down the stairs while hitting his head multiple times against the hard stairs.

Just before he reached the bottom, he felt a sharp and stabbing pain in the back of his head, courtesy of the last step. At the same time he heard it, a sharp crack rang throughout his head. And then he felt blood.

He laid at the bottom of the bottom of the stair case losing consciousness, just barely seeing the other person start to stand up.

Looks like he got luckier than him. Sieg's life started to flash before his eyes.

Why did this have to happen to him? He tried his best, went to college, tried to get into a good career so he could take care of his family.

He gave up on his ambitions to strike it rich in high finance after realizing how unprepared he was, settling with accounting instead. If only he was more talented, had more potential, had a stronger will, maybe he wouldn't be dying here in a stairwell.

If only his life was like those urban novels, some cheat to help him through life. He could only imagine the things he could do if he had limitless potential.

Sieg chuckles in his mind. Of course, that was unrealistic. He'll just die here and hope he sees the gates to heaven.

Slowly, Sieg's vision fades to black. Eventually, everything turned black. And continued to stay black…. Why could he still think?

Sieg ponders in the void, he had yet to see the gates of heaven nor the fiery pits of hell. Instead, all he can see, or maybe not see since everything is black, is a void.

He existed in silence for an unknown amount of time before he started to feel tired. Sieg obviously thought it was weird, he was already dead, how could he be tired?

However, he couldn't control the feeling and succumbed to the darkness.

The next thing he felt was the wind, and for some reason something wet hitting his face. Slowly, he opened his eyes and was amazed.

He's not dead, he realized. Instead, he was in some type of forest with huge, towering trees. Unfortunately, it seemed to be storming so that explained the wind and wet feeling he felt when he woke up.

The next thing he noticed killed his feeling of amazement and slowly replaced it with dread. He was in a basket, thankfully with blankets covering him, which lead to a conclusion he was not happy about.

He lifted his arm to confirm it.

He cursed in his mind, he was a baby. That's just his luck, being abandoned by his parents in this world in a forest, probably with dangerous animals, while it's storming.

He groaned in his mind, why couldn't they have just left him at an orphanage.

His fate was most definitely sealed. How many babies abandoned in a dangerous forest have come out alive by themselves? If they were superman maybe, but alas he was not an overpowered alien.

Luck would play a large part in his survival, but maybe he could do something.

For some reason he felt a good amount of strength in his limbs, odd for a baby, but he was not going to question it yet. He listened for any noises, hoping there weren't any animals near by that could harm him.

Hearing nothing, he started to lift himself out of the basket. However, just as he was getting up, he heard it. Faint sounds of talking, human voices speaking to each other.

Sieg was instantly filled with hope. He laid back down in his basket and breathed in as much air his lungs could hold.

It was time. As loud as he could, Sieg screamed and cried. Shameful? Maybe. Effective? Absolutely. Instantly, he heard the voices get louder, sounding hurried and alert. A couple moments later they appeared.

A group of men equipped with swords and bows hurriedly approached him. Speaking in a strange language, one of the men went to pick him up. Sieg slowly stopped crying as he did.

Looking at him closer, he noticed that the man had really long ears like one of those fantasy elves. Hm… It seems he was in a fantasy world. Excitement simmered within him, but he had more important things to focus on.

The brown-haired elf picked him up, with a little surprise on his face, and turned back to the group of men. He spoke in the same strange language to them as he walked towards them.

Another brown-haired man, with regular human ears, looked contemplative as the elf spoke. Eventually, he nodded his head and turned back and spoke to the others. It seemed like the brown-haired human was the leader.

After speaking, the whole group turned back from where they came and headed back, along with me. Sensing he was safe, Sieg began to get tired again. Curse this baby body, he thought.

In the end, he fell asleep. As he did, the brown-haired elf looked down at him, smiled slightly, and whispered something under his breath.
