Chapter 20 - 2 million years of Cultivation

It has been two trillion years—or at least, that is my assumption. Time does not flow in this world, so in truth, I cannot know for certain.

But if I had to guess, two trillion years have passed since we first came to this planet.

When I stepped into the void, I began questioning the system about the true nature of this world.

The first thing I asked was whether this world had limits—whether its size could be measured. The system replied, "No. This world is not bound by space or time. What you perceive as boundaries are merely names, not realities."

I then asked if this world was the greatest—if it stood as the highest state of existence.

The answer shook me.

"No," the system said. "This world is one of the lowest states of existence."

That revelation alone was enough to baffle me.

The system explained further: this world exists within a narrative system—and beyond it lie higher worlds, countless in number. The narrative system itself stands outside existence entirely. Even the demon realm, which we once thought boundless, still lies within existence compared to the narrative system.

And even then, this narrative system is but one among an uncountable infinity of others—each devoid of space, time, dimensionality, or any concept at all.

I asked the system, "Who created all of this?"

It scoffed.

"Do not ask foolish questions. You will know soon enough."

And with that, I was cast out of the void.

I came seeking answers, but left only with greater questions.

Such is the way of cultivation.
