Chapter 254 - Chapter 256: Spiritual Sight

Chapter 256: Spiritual Sight

"Harry, I came to know these things by accident and then indirectly verified them myself. Some things, if I were to tell you about them, wouldn't be pleasant for the people involved. My suggestion is that you ask Sirius or Professor Lupin. They should be willing to tell you about their experiences."

"Then..."

Before finishing his words, Harry closed his mouth again, because he suddenly realised that if he wanted to ask about the grudges between Snape and his father, along with Sirius and Professor Lupin, but as Sean had just said, what could he do even if he found out? Moreover, Sean had made it very clear just now. If he asked about Snape, it would be even more impossible for him to get an answer.

However, from Snape's previous attitude, along with the attitudes of Sirius and Professor Lupin, plus Sean's earlier words, Harry could somewhat guess at some things, though he was unwilling to believe them.

Professor Lupin and Sirius were such good people. How could they possibly be...

Moreover, there was his own father. His father couldn't possibly have done such things.

Definitely not.

When Sean and Harry returned to Hogwarts castle, they found there were few students left on the first floor. Only prefects and Head Boys and Girls from each house were patrolling around. Obviously, due to the earlier disturbance by the Dementors and the news brought back by Snape with Ron and Hermione, Hogwarts had been placed under martial law.

"Thank you for your hard work, Sean. Now, please hand Peter Pettigrew over to us. You can rest well now."

Looking at Dumbledore, Sean waved his wand once. Peter Pettigrew, who had been floating in mid-air, immediately drifted to Dumbledore's front. Dumbledore reached out and lightly traced the air, creating white smoke that formed into ropes, binding Peter Pettigrew before transforming into a whirlpool and disappearing before everyone's eyes.

Seeing this move by Dumbledore, Sean was certain that those white smoke ropes definitely had the effect of suppressing Animagus transformation. As for where Peter Pettigrew had gone, that was none of Sean's business. Dumbledore definitely wouldn't let him off anyway.

Snape didn't even glance at Peter Pettigrew. He came directly to Sean and asked quietly: "Those werewolves... were you scratched or bitten by any werewolves?"

"No, Professor. I happened to have dragon scale gauntlets that protected me."

Sean raised his hand to show Snape the dragon scale gauntlets.

Seeing what was on Sean's hands, Snape breathed a slight sigh of relief and nodded: "If you weren't scratched or bitten, then there's nothing serious. Remember to continue writing the third-phase thesis tomorrow. I want to see you finish it before graduation this semester."

"???"

Are you alright?

Are you alright?

Are you alright?

Isn't this transition too fast?

Are you my professor, my Head of House, my teacher?

Did I owe you three hundred theses in my previous life?

I'm just a poor soul destined to write theses, aren't I!

After internally complaining for over a hundred words, Sean showed a modest smile on his face and nodded to Snape: "I understand, Professor. I'll immediately start writing and experimenting for the third-phase thesis tomorrow. You can rest assured."

"Now I finally understand that your ability to write so many Potions theses published in The Golden Cauldron really isn't purely due to talent."

"Thank you, Professor Dumbledore."

"Sean, Harry, you two are also tired and should rest well. Why don't you come to my office for some drinks? I imagine Harry doesn't want to go back just yet, does he?"

But I want to go to sleep immediately...

Of course Sean didn't say this but nodded lightly and went to the headmaster's office together with Harry, along with Snape and Professor McGonagall.

"Everyone, please sit. Something to drink?"

Sean sat beside Snape. Tonight's events weren't over yet. Sean understood this clearly, so he wasn't polite and said directly to Dumbledore: "Please give me a hot chocolate, no sugar, thank you."

"No sugar. That's quite regrettable...

What about you, Harry?"

"Hot pumpkin juice, also no sugar."

"Very well."

It could be seen that they were mainly dealing with Sean and Harry now, because Snape and Professor McGonagall weren't asked what they wanted, nor did they seem to want anything. They were more like they had come specifically to accompany the two children from their respective houses.

Holding his hot chocolate, Sean took a sip, and his mouth was immediately filled with rich and bitter flavours.

"Sean, your recent thesis has caused quite a stir in the magical world."

"This stir actually has nothing to do with the thesis itself. It's just that some people feel my method of continuously modifying potion formulas isn't worthy of being published in The Golden Cauldron."

Hearing Sean's words, Dumbledore slowly nodded: "Actually, your thesis has extremely high value. There's no doubt about that. Those who question it actually have some other purposes. I was somewhat worried about your psychological state, but now it seems that was unnecessary."

"Thank you for your concern, Professor. Actually, my psychological state is the least thing that needs worrying about."

Dumbledore smiled at Sean, then turned to ask Harry about his condition.

Sean sat in his chair, suddenly feeling somewhat tired. He closed his eyes to rest briefly, hearing Dumbledore asking Harry about his condition and Harry's responses.

Listening to their conversation, Sean suddenly opened his eyes. White mist quickly spread and obscured his pupils. In just one short day, his spiritual sight ability had triggered again!

A dark cave.

A pool filled with Inferi.

Dumbledore and Harry standing on a floating island in the centre of the pool.

The cave erupting in roaring flames.

Dumbledore lying on the floating island in worrying condition.

And Harry escaping the cave with Dumbledore, fleeing from the Inferi.

The spiritual sight ended there.

Sean emerged from his spiritual sight state to find Snape looking at him with concern, along with Harry and Professor McGonagall. Dumbledore, however, was looking at Sean with an "as expected" expression.

"It's said that the Bulstrode family has a hidden bloodline that can grant those who possess it the ability of spiritual sight. I believe Sean must be someone who possesses this hidden bloodline."

"Spiritual sight?" Snape immediately looked at Dumbledore and asked: "Dumbledore, what is spiritual sight?"

"Regarding spiritual sight, I only know some very superficial things. However, I think Sean should understand very well what spiritual sight is, right?"
