Chapter 255 - Chapter 257: Prophecy

Chapter 257: Prophecy

Looking at Dumbledore's gentle smile, Sean was certain that his understanding of spiritual sight was definitely not as superficial as he claimed.

"As Professor Dumbledore said, spiritual sight is a special magical ability inherited by the Bulstrode family. I won't go into specifics, but generally it can be understood as a type of magic that uses my connections with others to share future visions. It can also be directly understood as a form of prophetic magic."

"Prophecy?"

Hearing Snape's question, Sean turned to him and nodded: "That's right, prophecy. Actually, the reason I appeared at the Shrieking Shack earlier was because before that, I happened to go to Professor Snape's office. Through my connection with the office's owner, Professor Snape, I saw some future scenes, which is why I went to the Shrieking Shack."

"Then, Sean..." Hearing this voice, Sean turned to look at Harry, whose face was full of worry, along with Professor McGonagall who also looked grave. Harry, seeing Sean look at him, hesitated slightly, then pressed his lips together before continuing: "What did you see just now? According to what you said, it's about our future, right?"

Looking at Harry, Sean nodded slightly: "Just now I suddenly felt drowsy, so I instinctively closed my eyes. As a result, I heard your conversation with Professor Dumbledore and saw some things about your and Professor Dumbledore's future."

At these words, understanding and inquiry flashed in Dumbledore's eyes, but he didn't immediately ask anything. Instead, he quietly watched Sean with his usual gentle, kindly smile, like a mask concealing all emotions.

Sean had no intention of hiding his prophecy. Hearing Harry's words, he said directly: "I saw Professor Dumbledore and you in a dark, damp cave. Deep in the cave was a dark, deep pool filled with Inferi..."

Hearing the word "Inferi", Snape's face immediately darkened, Professor McGonagall couldn't help but let out a short gasp, and Harry became even more at a loss.

Sean naturally noticed their expressions, but he continued: "I saw Professor Dumbledore on a floating island in the centre of the pool, drinking some deadly poison that had to be consumed in order to take something away. I also saw those Inferi rising from the water, trying to drag Professor Dumbledore and Harry down.

Perhaps due to limitations, I didn't see Professor Dumbledore use Apparition, but I saw great flames. Fire that burnt those Inferi, and then I saw Professor Dumbledore and Harry safely leaving that cave."

What Sean saw in his spiritual sight ended there, but he lowered his eyelids slightly and added one more sentence: "In the final scene, Professor Dumbledore discovered that what he thought was in that place had actually been taken away by someone else long ago. He had drunk that poison for nothing and returned empty-handed."

As his words fell, the entire office fell silent.

Except for Sean and Dumbledore, no one else could imagine what thing would require Dumbledore to personally go there and drink deadly poison to obtain, or what person could get there before Dumbledore and take the item away, leaving Dumbledore to return empty-handed.

Just then, Harry gently tugged at Sean's clothes and asked quietly: "Sean, do you know when that will happen? I mean, the scenes you prophesied."

"The you in the vision looked older than now, maybe two or three years older. What I prophesied won't happen in the short term."

With Sean's words, although the atmosphere in the office remained heavy, it was obvious that both Snape and Professor McGonagall breathed sighs of relief.

Just then, Dumbledore gently raised his hand. The curtains covering the windows suddenly opened by themselves, and a ray of morning sunlight fell through the window into the headmaster's office. Dumbledore clapped his hands, ending the previous topic.

"We can put this topic to rest for now. As Sean said, what he prophesied won't happen for another two to three years, so we don't need to think about it in advance. What's most important now is welcoming back Sirius and Remus, then notifying the Ministry to resolve Peter Pettigrew's matter."

With Dumbledore's words, this matter naturally came to a close.

Just as everyone was getting up to prepare to welcome Sirius and Professor Lupin back to Hogwarts and notify the Ministry about what had happened, Dumbledore suddenly said, as if remembering something: "Oh, I almost forgot. Please keep Sean's spiritual sight ability secret. No matter who asks, this cannot be revealed, understood?"

"I will, Professor!"

"Of course!"

Snape looked at Harry and Professor McGonagall, who had immediately agreed, then focused his gaze on Harry with some suspicion: "Others can certainly keep secrets, but I'm afraid the great Saviour will be eager to share this news with Weasley and Miss Know-It-All. In that case, this secret will no longer be a secret."

Hearing Snape's words, Harry immediately looked at him angrily: "Of course I'll keep the secret! Sean is my friend. I won't do anything that threatens his safety!"

Snape looked Harry up and down dismissively and said noncommittally: "I hope so."

Watching Snape turn and leave first, any trace of guilt Harry might have felt about his father's possible past offences against Snape instantly vanished.

The old bat is still the old bat. He'll never change!

The group came to the front entrance of Hogwarts castle. At this time, Professor Lupin was rushing into Hogwarts castle accompanied by a large black dog resembling a black bear, with a group of Dementors following far behind them.

When these Dementors spotted Dumbledore standing at the castle entrance, along with Sean and Harry, they immediately changed direction and moved away from Hogwarts Castle.

Obviously, these Dementors still recognised the three people who had beaten them soundly.

After arriving inside Hogwarts, Sirius didn't immediately transform back to human form, since there were quite a few people here and he didn't want everyone to know he was an Animagus.

However, Sirius hadn't noticed that Sean, standing behind him, was staring at him intently with bright eyes, as if thinking about something interesting.
