Chapter 273 - Chapter 276: Battle of Magical Creatures

Chapter 276: Battle of Magical Creatures

Bang!

The earth beneath his feet exploded as Sean's figure became a blur, racing swiftly through the forest. It was as if the trees and plants in the forest automatically cleared a path for Sean, causing him no hindrance whatsoever.

LV3 Wolf's Keenness combined with LV4 Wolf's Swiftness, plus Troll Strength as the foundation. Sean's physical capabilities had now reached an astonishing level.

Moreover, it was nighttime now, and a full moon at that. Under Moonlight Blessing, Sean's physical abilities reached their peak, even more impressive than many magical creatures.

Whoosh...

Passing through the canopy of a large tree, Sean lightly landed on the trunk of a tree probably dozens to hundreds of years old. Looking at the Mayan pyramid hidden in the forest ahead, he quietly asked Kulkan in his arms: "Is that it?"

"Yes, that's it. The thing calling me and other magical creatures is inside there. But be careful. We're not the only ones who came here. They're here too!"

As Kulkan's words fell, the distant sky suddenly filled with layers of dark clouds, with thunder moving and flickering within them.

Sean narrowed his eyes. He vaguely saw what appeared to be two massive forms fighting endlessly in the rolling clouds ahead. One a bird, one serpent-like.

Obviously the Thunderbird and Occamy from before!

Crack...

Boom!

An unprecedented blinding flash of lightning erupted.

The Occamy's enormously enlarged body, accompanied by lightning from the Thunderbird, plummeted from mid-air like a meteor wrapped in thunder, crashing into the forest below with tremendous force. Its massive form shrank to the size of a normal python, trembling slightly, with most of its feathers burnt black.

Despite such severe injuries, the Occamy showed no sign of retreat. It raised its head high and let out a series of roars at the Thunderbird, which had arrived above the Mayan pyramid and perched atop it!

At this moment, accompanying the Occamy's roars, magical creatures hidden in the jungle revealed themselves. They gathered around the Mayan pyramid, looking at the Thunderbird atop it, all emitting low growls.

"Swooping Evil, Nundu, Chimaera, Mountain Troll Dragon, Re'em, Sphinx... plus the Occamy and Thunderbird from before. What exactly is in this place to attract so many high-level magical creatures?"

Of course there were also many XXX-rated and XX-rated magical creatures here, but under the intimidation of these XXXX and XXXXX-rated magical creatures, those lesser creatures didn't dare approach rashly.

Just as Sean was hiding nearby observing these magical creatures, a dragon's roar rang out from the sky behind him. Then a pitch-black shadow swept over the large tree where Sean was hiding, crashing down near the Mayan pyramid with tremendous force, crushing several large trees and raising its head to let out a deafening roar at the Thunderbird!

A dragon!

A wild dragon!

This Mayan pyramid had even attracted a dragon!

The Thunderbird looked at the suddenly arrived dragon, a hint of wariness flickering in its pupils. It could fly. As long as it took to the air it could guarantee remaining undefeated. But the arrival of the Occamy and dragon challenged the Thunderbird's air superiority.

Not to mention there were also the Swooping Evil and Sphinx capable of low-altitude flight.

Although it could fly above the cloud layer, at flying altitudes that neither dragons nor Occamys could match, flying that high would prevent it from continuing to compete for whatever was in the Mayan pyramid. So the Thunderbird could only directly face the challenge from the Occamy and dragon.

However, contrary to both the Thunderbird's and Sean's expectations, the first to challenge the dragon was actually the Mountain Troll Dragon!

The Mountain Troll Dragon was grayish-white all over, its body surface covered with large amounts of keratin that looked like rock. Its body resembled a wingless dragon but was more robust and imposing, especially its hind legs, which were many times thicker than a dragon's.

Mountain Troll Dragons were a branch of dragons, except they had lost their fire-breathing and flying abilities, gaining stronger defense and strength instead. Legend said that because they lost their fire-breathing and flying abilities, Mountain Troll Dragons were naturally hostile to dragons.

"ROAAAAR!"

Thump! Thump! Thump thump...

The Mountain Troll Dragon's footsteps went from slow to fast.

Like a heavy truck, it charged toward the dragon.

This wild dragon was also far larger than its kind, with visibly healed scars covering its body. Obviously a battle-tested type as well. Seeing the Mountain Troll Dragon charging, it showed no fear, opening its mouth to spew large amounts of flame while simultaneously pouncing toward the Mountain Troll Dragon!

CRASH!

Like two heavy trucks colliding, the dragon and Mountain Troll Dragon began tearing at each other head-on.

At this moment, as the dragon and Mountain Troll Dragon fought, the Occamy also took to the air, its body becoming unprecedentedly massive as it coiled around and charged toward the Thunderbird.

The Swooping Evil, like a black cloak, also took flight, rushing toward the Thunderbird from another direction.

Swooping Evils were XXXX-rated magical creatures with danger levels equivalent to dragons and Thunderbirds. They had characteristics similar to Dementors, but what they absorbed was their prey's flesh and blood. Dealing with Swooping Evils also required the Patronus Charm!

The dragon and Mountain Troll Dragon had a private grudge.

But dealing with the Thunderbird was a consensus among these XXXX and XXXXX-rated magical creatures.

During this period, they had all suffered oppression from the Thunderbird. Now seeing the Occamy and Swooping Evil charging toward the Thunderbird together.

The Chimaera, with its lion head, goat head, and serpent tail, along with the Nundu, rapidly charged up the Mayan pyramid toward the Thunderbird. The Re'em, with its golden fur and robust, imposing build, followed close behind. Finally, the Sphinx took low flight, coordinating with the Occamy and Swooping Evil to attack the Thunderbird.

Seeing these magical creatures all charging toward it together.

The Thunderbird's three pairs of wings beat violently as it took to the air. Simultaneously, electricity flashed around its body as it summoned a bolt of lightning that wrapped around itself before spreading outward!

Countless electric currents spread outward, striking the approaching magical creatures. It immediately sent the Nundu, who had charged too far ahead, flying backward to crash heavily into the forest below.

It beat its wings fiercely, sending the approaching Swooping Evil flying, then slashed with its claws, tearing away large amounts of feathers from the Sphinx's wings.

But just then, the Occamy suddenly shrank its body and silently appeared behind the Thunderbird. Its claws grabbed the Thunderbird's wings as its body suddenly expanded, pressing the Thunderbird down and slamming it hard onto the Mayan pyramid.

At this moment, the Re'em lowered its head, its pair of sharp horns aimed directly at the Thunderbird's belly!
