I saw Dylan and Declan's shocked faces as they stepped backwards to take a thorough look at me, and I realized my mistake just then.
"What happened? Why are you stepping down from being Luna?
"Did we offend you?
"Is this about Kael's death and missing body?"
"Talk to us, please."
My neck turned between Dylan and Declan's direction as each of them spoke.
"Did–" Declan was going to say something else, but I quickly held out my hand to stop him. My neck was beginning to hurt from turning it quickly from one twin to the other.
"Please," I added when I realized just how disrespectful it was to hold out my hand to them.
"You did nothing wrong, and I am not stepping down from being your Luna." I explained but they cast each other a look, with their eyebrows furrowed before they returned their gazes to me..
"I'm simply refusing to be the Luna of Unity pack." I added, and watched them heave a sigh. Slowly, their lips spread into a smile, as they took a long step back to me.
