Chapter 16 - The Invitation to the Celestial Summit

Also known as: Please Don't Let Him Speak

In the days following Wei Long's infamous "breakthrough," the world of cultivation did what it always does when confused:

It panicked.

Sects restructured their manuals. Cultivation families banned naps. A rogue philosopher wrote a 700-page treatise titled "Unstructured Harmony and the Collapse of Linear Qi."

One thing became clear:

The cultivation world was not ready for Wei Long.

At the heart of the empire, in a floating jade citadel, a gathering of the most powerful cultivators alive was called:

The Celestial Summit — held only once every century.A place of law, diplomacy… and thinly veiled sword threats.

Twelve Grand Elders attended. So did spirit beasts, hidden realm lords, and one guy who swore he could communicate with clouds (he couldn't).

High Elder Yu of the Azure Flame Sect slammed his palm on the marble table.

"We cannot ignore him anymore! The man dreams in breakthroughs!"

A monk with a pearl beard nodded gravely. "He is a walking riddle. We must understand his Dao… or risk being reshaped by it."

Another elder whispered, "He reversed a core technique by sneezing. I heard he once cultivated by drinking tea too aggressively."

Murmurs rippled through the hall.

Finally, the head of the summit — the stoic and terrifying Immortal Master Wen Shu — stood.

"Then summon him."

Back at Mount Chaos...

Wei Long was balancing a steamed bun on his head for no reason when a scroll descended from the sky in a beam of light. It sang a celestial tone as it hovered before him.

Lin Qian unrolled it.

"Master Wei Long,You are formally invited to the Celestial Summit…to speak about your breakthrough and Dao comprehension.Attendance is mandatory. Dress modestly. Please do not sneeze."

Wei Long blinked."Can I say no?"

Lin Qian paled. "You can say no… but the heavens might say yes anyway."

Moments later, the sky split open and a divine crane — ten meters long with golden feathers — descended to pick him up.

Wei Long sighed. "Do I at least get snacks on this flight?"

The crane gave a low, rumbling honk. It sounded like a yes.

The Celestial Summit was a realm of sky and cloud, where every breath was laced with qi so pure it made commoners cry on contact.

Wei Long landed in the middle of a floating courtyard surrounded by a thousand immortal cultivators.

Some bowed.

Some glared.

One passed out from anxiety.

Master Wen Shu approached. His aura crushed the sky. Mountains bent to his will.

"You are Wei Long."

Wei Long scratched his head. "So they say."

Wen Shu stared at him for a long moment.

"…Explain your Dao."

Wei Long blinked. Looked around.

"…Which one?"

"The one that shattered Luo Xian's core, warped the sky, reversed the flame fields, and inspired a goat to achieve enlightenment."

Wei Long hesitated.

"Um… I tripped on a melon peel."

Silence.

A cultivator in the back wept. "He disguises profound truth in absurdity…"

Another scribbled furiously. "Tripping… the path to Unbalanced Equilibrium!"

Wen Shu's lip twitched. "You… toy with us."

Wei Long held up a hand. "No! I'm just extremely unlucky! Or maybe lucky? Honestly, I don't know anymore."

Wen Shu stepped forward, spiritual pressure heavy.

"You are disrupting the heavens, Wei Long. Your mere presence changes the nature of qi itself. Do you not feel it?"

Wei Long looked around.

Then muttered:

"…I mean, I haven't paid taxes in five years. That's probably the only thing I do feel."

Wen Shu blinked.

Then…

He began to laugh.

Not softly.

Not mildly.

But full, shaking, celestial laughter that made clouds scatter and birds sing.

"You… are either the greatest genius the heavens have ever birthed… or their worst joke."

Wei Long smiled politely. "Honestly? I think it's both."

Wen Shu turned to the crowd.

"I hereby declare the Path of Unstructured Harmony a legitimate realm."

Gasps.

Crashes.

One man coughed up blood from pure shock.

Wei Long turned to Lin Qian.

"…I think I just accidentally founded a new cultivation path."

She nodded slowly.

"…And now all the other paths want to either join it… or kill it."

Wei Long looked at the sky.

"…Can I go home yet?"

To be continued...
