Chapter 15 - Returning to The Boys World

"Father!"

Seeing his father wake up from his coma, Mark immediately rushed over excitedly, rambling to his father, Omni-Man, about everything that had happened while he was unconscious, such as Russell awakening his powers, them becoming Superheroes, fighting off two alien invasions together, and so on...

"uncle..."

"Slow down, slow down." Omni-Man smiled and waved for the two of them to sit down.

Russell's emotions were complex.

A sense of crisis arose spontaneously.

uncle Omni-Man was awake after all, or rather, no longer pretending to be unconscious.

He wondered what he had been thinking while pretending to be unconscious in bed for the past two days, listening to his family worry about him. Was he struggling again, hesitating whether to stop now, or had he used the two days to completely solidify his ruthless resolve?

"Children, I am very gratified that during the time the Global Guardians were lost and I was injured and gone, you protected Earth for me."

Sitting up and gently embracing his wife Debbie, Omni-Man chuckled softly.

"Father, saying we protected Earth for you is too exaggerated. It was mostly Cousin; I didn't help much..."

Mark scratched his cheek sheepishly, his heart filled with joy. He felt that after this serious injury and coma, his father was no longer as rigid and serious as before after waking up, showing more smiles.

However, a chill ran through Russell's heart.

Was this his last moment of tenderness towards his family before his ruthless conquest of Earth?

"Hey, I want my suit. Whether it's damaged or not, it's classified material, and I want it back."

Omni-Man was able to be discharged immediately after waking up. Before leaving the hospital, he went to the front desk to ask for the suit he was wearing before he fell into a coma.

"Go get it, now."

Aunt Debbie saw this scene from the side, and her expression was slightly strange.

Russell caught Aunt Debbie's subtle expression. As a woman with naturally delicate thoughts, she seemed to faintly sense that something was wrong.

Her husband, Nolan, was generous in showing smiles to his family, but his attitude towards others seemed colder, as if ordering anyone around was a matter of course.

Back home, to celebrate her husband's discharge, aunt made a table full of delicious dishes.

At the dinner table, aunt had some wine, her cheeks slightly flushed. She said that Russell and Mark, who had saved many people from the alien army, were her pride, and both children had grown up.

Mark chuckled happily at this, and the family seemed harmonious and joyful.

But they didn't know that there were actually two people at the table with different thoughts in their hearts.

After dinner, Russell returned to his bedroom and locked the door.

[Conquest Points: 1285]

Some eyes in the World focused on the threat of the Flaxen, and he naturally received more attention for repelling the Flaxan army's invasion twice.

Some people recognized his contributions to Earth, and many placed hope in him, believing that he could be one of the main forces in Earth's future defense against another Flaxan invasion.

In just one or two days, the Conquest Points surged several times over and were still continuously increasing.

However, it was still not enough to solidify the ability of any member of the Global Guardians.

[A-Train Template Solidification Required Conquest Points - 600 Points]

[Solidify?]

[Yes]

Russell chose to solidify the A-Train ability template and immediately felt the muscles all over his body seemed a little stronger, and his skin became tougher.

He was still using the Red Rush template, so the sensation wasn't deep.

A conservative estimate is an increase of seventy to eighty tons of strength?

But this was far from enough.

Solidifying the A-Train template had a negligible effect on the enhancement of his strength.

According to the plot, there should still be some time before uncle Nolan completely drops his disguise and makes a move.

"I need to acquire stronger templates, or... win by surprise, solidify abilities that Viltrumites do not possess." Russell narrowed his eyes slightly, teleported himself to The Boys World, and the next second his figure disappeared from the bedroom.

...

The time flow in Earth of Invincible World and the dimensional plane where the Flaxan are located is different. The Boys World's time flow is also slightly faster than Invincible World.

Sometimes both sides were night, sometimes one side was night, and the other side was already daytime on the second day.

Detroit, the back kitchen of a small abandoned restaurant that had been closed for many years. Frenchie, with a buzz cut, came out holding a saw with a rolled edge and sat down, exhausted like a dead dog.

Butcher threw a flamethrower aside with a headache and looked at Translucent imprisoned in the iron cage in the storage room, feeling somewhat powerless and irritated.

Hughie was even more anxious, scratching his head and pacing back and forth like an ant on a hot pan.

Translucent's defense was too strong. Although they had captured him for a few days, they had no way to deal with him. If they didn't quickly pry something useful out of his mouth and resolve this hot potato, Vought would sooner or later track them down based on the locator inside him.

Burning, electric shock, gunfire, even a Barrett was used, but they couldn't even scrape off a piece of this abominable guy's skin.

He couldn't help but feel scared at the thought that Vought could track them down at any time.

"Why not try pouring a bottle of strong acid into his stomach?"

Just as the three of them were at a loss, a casual young voice came from behind. Frenchie, the quick-witted weapons expert, heard this and his eyes lit up. It was as if a layer of mist had been swept away from his mind, and he clapped his hand excitedly.

"That's right, that's a damn genius idea.

No matter how hard his skin is, it can't protect his intestines!"

"Wait, who's talking?"

Frenchie, who had been happy for less than two seconds about finding a way to kill Translucent, realized that there were only three people in their small group, and Hughie and Butcher were right in front of him. So who was talking behind him?

Butcher and Hughie also realized this problem and turned around to see a handsome young man leaning back in a chair, his long legs casually crossed on the table, his arms folded, and a half-smile on his lips as if watching a play, looking at the three of them.

"Who the hell are you?"

"What the hell!"

The door to the back kitchen was on the other side. In the inner room, which was originally empty and had no windows, a person suddenly appeared out of thin air like a ghost.

The three of them were startled and retreated in unison. Butcher immediately pulled out his gun, aimed at the other person, and his voice was a little tense.

"Are you a super-human?"

Such a bizarre way of appearing could only be a super-human!

For a moment, the air in the room seemed to freeze.

Had Vought's people found them?

Cold sweat seeped from Hughie's forehead. Butcher and the other person were tense as if facing a formidable enemy, while only the young man remained seated in that casual posture.

"Don't be nervous." The young man said first. Butcher thought he was trying to calm the three of them down for fear of a gun going off, but who knew what he said next.

"Because being nervous is useless anyway."

"Could it be that you are also Translucent from The Seven?"

Frenchie picked up the Barrett that was placed aside. The anti-material sniper rifle, specifically used to hit armored vehicles, instantly gave him enormous confidence.

Hearing the young man's tone, which seemed to completely disregard the three of them, he couldn't help but retort.

Hughie, on the other hand, fearfully picked up a frying pan, held it in front of him, and hid in the corner.

Last time, Russell wore a hood and subdued Translucent. This time he wasn't wearing a mask, so Hughie didn't recognize him.

"Guns, things children play with.

Oh, by the way, before pointing a gun at someone, don't you check if it has bullets?"

The pistol and sniper rifle in front of him were no different from toys to his threat. Russell scoffed and pointed at the two of them.
