Chapter 1 - The Ashes of the Past

Opening Scene – Spring Day

The sun shines over a vast meadow, flowers swaying in a soft breeze. A five-year-old boy laughs as he runs through the field, arms out like wings. His mother watches from a distance, smiling.

Suddenly —

Thunder.

Dark clouds roll in, swallowing the sky. The flowers wilt. The warmth vanishes.

Male Voice (urgent, off-screen):

"I have to leave… it's the only way to keep you safe."

Boy (turning to his mother):

"Mom? Where's Dad going?"

FLASH—Lightning. A storm consumes everything.

---

Scene changes; The scared boy finds himself in an alone dark house...

A creaking door. Torch flickers in trembling hands of his

A Ten-year-old Boy, he steps into his home. Blood smears the wooden floor, snaking toward his feet.

He looks up.

His mother's lifeless body lies crumpled on the floor — two figures cloaked in darkness stand over her, faces hidden. A whisper of yellow light glows from beneath their hoods.

Boy (screaming):

"Mom! Mom!! What happened to you?!"

He stumbles forward—

THWACK — A shadowy hand pierces his chest. Time slows. Everything fades.

---

Dream Snaps

Boy (now 12) gasps awake in his bed, chest heaving, drenched in sweat.

Wind rattles the window. Pine trees sway outside, whispering like ghosts.

Reeno (thinking):

"Two years... and the nightmare still haunts me."

He presses a hand to his chest, a phantom pain...

Boy (V.O.):

"My name is Reeno. And that's how I lost everything."

Chapter 1 — The Ashes of the past

[In the dim morning light, Reeno slings on his backpack and leaves his cabin. Winter creeps in — the cold breeze bites like knives against the skin. He keeps moving, his breath fogging in the air, silent and focused.]

[After thirty minutes of trekking through dense forest, he arrives at a secluded hut. He drops his backpack — its heavy thud hints at the weight he carries, both physically and emotionally.]

Sitting by a fire is Kael — 35, rugged, sharp-eyed. Once his father's closest friend. Now his only mentor.

Kael (watching him):

"You're late."

Reeno (flat):

"It's still morning."

Kael (smirking):

"Less talk. More sweat. Move."

---

[Kael runs Reeno through an intense training regimen: dangerous wildlife hunting that keeps nearby villages safe, and strict body conditioning. All this — to prepare for the Earth Union (EU) Tournament, held every three years, next time in japan. The tournament gathers the strongest fighters from around the globe. Winners gain glory, riches, and fame.]

Reeno: What are we hunting today, Sir?

Kael: A wild bear was spotted around here. Hope you're not scared of bears, right?

Reeno: I'm not.

Kael (thinking): That look in his eyes... I doubt he's scared of anything in this world anymore.

Kael: I think we've found it's den. You ready?

Reeno (nodding): Yeah.

Kael: Lure him out. I'll be watching — climbs a tree in a single, effortless leap.

[Reeno follows instructions. The fight begins. His movements are quick and precise. He fights smart — dodging, reading the beast's attacks, and countering. The battle ends. He stands over the defeated bear, unharmed.]

Kael (thinking): He predicted the bear's moves… adjusted mid-combat. Two years, and he's already stronger than most adult fighters. Impressive.

Kael: Good work, kiddo. Still room for improvement. Now drag it back to the hut — let's go!

Reeno: What are we going to do with it, Sir?

Kael: You'll see.

[Reeno hauls the bear all the way back to the shelter. Dusk sets in.]

Kael: Tired?

Reeno: Yeah, I could use some rest...

Kael: Good. Now give me 500 push-ups while I make dinner.

Reeno (grumbling): Are you serious…?

[A chilly evening. Kael chops wood while Reeno sweats through push-ups, body trembling with effort.]

Kael: It's all about strengthening your body. Make yourself hard as diamond and sharp as a blade—you'll conquer anything.

Reeno: Yes, Sir!

Reeno: 496... 497... 498... 499... 500!

[He drops to the ground, exhausted.]

Kael (smirking): Dinner's ready.

[Reeno slumps at the table, muscles aching.]

Reeno: We are not eating a bear are we?

Kael: A strong body needs a strong meal. Dig in.

---

Night falls. The two eat in silence until Kael speaks.

Kael:

"You've come far. But you're still a cub. Out there, in the real world…

there are lions."

Reeno (pauses):

"Lions?"

Kael:

"Eight of them and one unconfirmed anyways, Each from different strongest nations. Fighters who pushed their bodies past human limits. They channel their soul into raw power — called Aura. They're called... Chirins ."

Reeno's fork freezes mid-air.

Reeno (thinking):

"Yellow eyes. A presence that felt… inhuman. That night…"

Kael:

"If you ever face one unprepared, you die. Simple as that."

Reeno (thinking):

"If they were Chirins… then I'll find them. I'll stand before them — not as prey, but as a challenger."

Reeno (out loud):

"What's the next step?"

Kael (grins):

"The Earth Union Tournament. Held every three years. There You'll find every strong warrior this planet has to offer which includes all nine Chirins.

Kael (continues)

There should be one ongoing right this time of year, but I don't want you to join in this one, and the next one will be held in Japan in three years, by then I want you to be completely prepared.

Reeno looks into the fire. His reflection flickers — a boy's face now, but something deeper burns in his eyes.

Reeno (quietly):

"Then I'll be ready."

Fade Out.
