Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Old Lady Jiang Who Aided Tyranny

Mason Bennett's expression wasn't particularly good either, his dark eyes so shadowed they seemed like they could spill over with water.

He turned his head to look at Uncle Wu beside him, and that glance spoke volumes.

Uncle Wu's eyes wandered everywhere but didn't meet Mason Bennett's gaze.

He was doing this for whom, if not to prevent the young master from going astray? It wasn't easy for him either.

"Grandma."

"Mason, you know Grandma has never meddled in your private life. As long as you bring someone female home, Grandma doesn't care what breed it is."

Mason Bennett: "..."

Uncle Wu: "..."

Mason Bennett's temples involuntarily throbbed, his expression even gloomier. Who on earth instilled this kind of thinking in his grandma?

"Come in." Mason Bennett's voice was cold as he called out.

Outside, Bella Green was daydreaming and paused for a moment, come in? Was he calling her?

She looked around; she was the only one at the door.

Thinking it over, she pushed open the ward door and walked in. To be honest, she was quite curious to meet the Bennett Family's old lady.

The old lady of the Bennett Family stared intently at the entrance. The next second, she saw a frail-looking 'youngster' who seemed to have been mistreated walk in.

The short, neat hair barely reached the ears, white T-shirt and jeans, looking clean. The small face, though alarmingly thin, was extremely pretty.

The old lady looked at Bella Green, almost about to cry again. If they're so good-looking, how could she bear to break them up?

Or should it be said breakup the couple?

Mason Bennett noticed the expression on the old lady's face, twitched the corner of his eye, raised his hand to pull Bella Green over, and patted her little head.

"Call me brother."

Bella Green: "???"

Mason Bennett turned his eyes, his cold indifferent gaze made Bella Green's heart tremble a little. She subconsciously called out, "Brother."

The soft voice made Mason Bennett pause, a strange feeling flickering inside him. He looked at her deeply and responded with a nod.

"A brother I picked up on the road."

Mason Bennett somewhat explained to the old lady.

"What kind of brother?" The old lady of the Bennett Family was still uneasy.

Mason Bennett looked at the old lady but remained silent. However, his gaze made the old lady not dare to ask further.

The "brother" picked up on the road: "..."

"Child, come here and let me have a look." The old lady smiled and beckoned.

After Mason and Victor Bennett had grown up, the Bennett Family didn't have any young juniors. Now, seeing such a pretty child, the old lady couldn't help but feel affectionate.

And, considering her grandson may have ulterior motives towards the child, she felt both fond and a little guilty.

Bella Green looked at the old lady, her eyes filled with curiosity and doubt, but she obediently walked over.

The old lady held her hand, smiling warmly.

Oh, this hand is really soft and smooth, with long, slender fingers. It doesn't feel like a boy's hand.

The old lady looked Bella up and down with scrutiny, and she couldn't hold back her laughter.

"Mason, you are too aloof. You always need to interact with people. Grandma is getting discharged tomorrow. Bring your brother home for dinner."

"Victor is not in the country."

"Who said him, I meant..." The old lady paused, turned to Bella Green, her eyes smiling into slits, "Child, what's your name?"

"I am Bella Green."

"Oh, what a coincidence! Your name is so similar to Mason's. Mason, bring Bella home for dinner tomorrow."

Uncle Wu wanted to cry but had no tears: "Old lady, are you aiding and abetting? This idea is wrong!!"
