Lucy Eaton saw it had gotten a little brighter outside, and she was no longer sleepy, "It feels so good to have a dreamless night."
"I dreamed all night long."
"Hmm? What did you dream about?"

This was the second time he'd said he dreamed of her.
"Tell me about it."
"I dreamed you came home at dawn. I asked where you'd been, your face was pale, looking ill. You didn't reply, didn't even glance at me, just went straight to the guest room. I stayed in the living room for quite a while, walked quietly to the door, heard you crying. Last time I dreamed you cried, this time too, you were crying. I wanted to knock on the door but didn't."
Lucy Eaton's face leaned against his shoulder, "Dreams are the opposite of reality."
