Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Give a Like

Mr. Zhou glanced at his own skeleton, showing interest: "Oh? What you said actually caught my interest, come on, everyone check their game panels."

The four players huddled together, checking their game panels.

After comparing, Mr. Zhou gave Grandpa Qian of Bone-Touching a meaningful look: "Grandpa Qian, you seem to have a profession like mine, both as a Skeleton Mage?"

Grandpa Qian of Bone-Touching distanced himself a bit from Mr. Zhou: "What kind of look is that? I'm telling you, I can guarantee with my decades of credibility, my skeleton is a normal man's structure, definitely different from yours."

Mr. Zhou patted Grandpa Qian of Bone-Touching on the shoulder: "Hehe, what are you thinking, Grandpa Qian? I just think that since we have the same profession, we can exchange ideas in the future."

Flatulence eyed both Mr. Zhou and Grandpa Qian of Bone-Touching with a sour tone: "Why do you two get to have two professions? You have an extra Skeleton Mage profession compared to us? This isn't fair, I condemn the dog designers, I want to be a Mage too, I don't want to be a Warrior."

Sea Flip glanced disdainfully at Flatulence: "Brother Pi, being a Mage isn't the way, a Warrior is the hard truth, a real man should lead in battle, covered in blood on the front line. Their double professions will definitely need more resources, it's not necessarily a good thing."

Flatulence tilted his head: "What did you say? Did I hear wrong? Weren't you the one begging the pretty NPCs for kisses, hugs, and high lifts not too long ago?"

Sea Flip tossed his head: "Haven't you heard of tenderhearted toughness? It doesn't conflict, heroes have always been weak to beauties."

"Tsk, I don't believe a single punctuation mark you say." Flatulence moved his gaze away from Sea Flip: "Sigh, I wonder if I'll have a chance to become a Skeleton Mage in the future."

Sea Flip shrugged: "Brother Pi, you have no ambition, you should see if you have a chance to become a Succubus."

Flatulence waved his arm: "Believe it or not, I'll give you a bone."

Mr. Zhou looked at these two shameless guys, quickly interrupting: "Our quests are actually pretty interesting, Grandpa Qian and I need to gather magic herbs in the west, whereas Brother Pi and Somersault need to gather herbs also in the southwest."

"How about we split into pairs? This place is very realistic and beautiful, but who knows what dangers might exist, better to have someone to look out for each other."

Grandpa Qian of Bone-Touching agreed: "Right, no one knows what kind of monsters might be here, it's best to be cautious. This game is so fantastic and no one knows what the death penalty might be."

Flatulence and Sea Flip exchanged glances, agreeing to this suggestion, and the four went their separate ways towards the west and southwest.

Watching the departing players, Fang Ka began pondering, when they come to submit the quest, how should he open the shop for them, what would be appropriate to sell, and what the pricing should be.

For instance, the two Skeleton Mages would definitely need to learn Meditation Skill, which should certainly be in the shop, its price can't be too high, but too low wouldn't be right either.

After pondering for a while, Fang Ka gradually gained some ideas.

At that moment, a figure appeared in the distance.

A skeleton with two bundles of magic herbs slung over its shoulders was striding arrogantly, heading towards the Ancient Castle.

Who else could it be if not Lu Yun?

Lu Yun soon noticed Fang Ka standing in front of the Ancient Castle, he toned down his arrogant stride a little and picked up speed.

Arriving in front of Fang Ka, Lu Yun excitedly dropped the bundled Ghostly Spinach from his shoulder: "Mage Fang Ka, the Ghostly Spinach you requested has been fully gathered, 100 pieces, you can count them."

Seeing the eager Lu Yun rubbing his hands, Fang Ka examined the Ghostly Spinach on the ground.

Watching Fang Ka inspect the Ghostly Spinach, Lu Yun couldn't help but marvel: "This game is so detailed, even the NPC is checking the quest materials so meticulously."

After confirming there were no omissions, Fang Ka nodded slightly: "Very good, you did well."

Immediately, a notification popped up before Lu Yun: 'Your quest is complete, you earn 5 experience points, 1 Copper Coin, 1 point.'

Lu Yun immediately checked his game panel.

'Level: 1

experience points: 5/100

Power Level: Ordinary Skeleton Warrior (0/100)

Magic Power: 0/0

Skills: None

points: 1

Assets: 0 gold 0 silver 1 Copper

Quest: None'

Looking at the changes in his game panel, Lu Yun felt a surge of accomplishment.

He glanced around but didn't spot any other players.

Lu Yun thought to himself: "Could it be they're off doing quests like me? A real shame they didn't get to admire my majestic presence."

Before he could think further, Fang Ka spoke: "My loyal subordinate, I have some items here, see if there's anything you need."

As he finished speaking, Fang Ka waved his hand gently.

Though the gesture seemed ordinary, to Lu Yun it was something else.

Because Lu Yun noticed two semi-transparent screens appear in front of Fang Ka.

The upper left of the left screen read 'Shop', with the first row being icons, below them names and descriptions, and the price.

There weren't many icons, only four in total.

Lu Yun inspected them closely.

Low-Level Magic Potion: Quickly replenish missing Magic Power. (Price: 10 Silver Coins.)

Meditation Skill: Meditate to enhance Magic Power and Spiritual Power. (Price: 1 Silver Coin.) (Note, for Skeleton Mages only.)

Basic Curse Weakening Skill: Weaken enemies. (Price 10 Silver Coins 10 points.)

Basic Death Wrap: Corrode and damage enemies. (Price 10 Silver Coins 10 points.)

The upper left of the right screen read 'Secret Vault', with only one icon.

The icon depicted a Blood Pool, with an introduction written below.

Blood Pool Enhancement: Enhance and advance Ordinary Skeleton Warriors. (Each enhancement requires 10 Silver Coins and 10 points.)

Note: After ten enhancements, can advance to Low Tier Skeleton Warrior.

Lu Yun only glanced at the shop panel quickly, losing interest because he wasn't a Skeleton Mage.

But the secret vault panel intrigued him quite a bit.

"In this game, is it that leveling up doesn't make you stronger? But strengthening your profession through this method does? Oh, right, the mission I took earlier clearly marked it as a level 1 mission, does that mean, the higher the level of the mission, the better the rewards?"

"Leveling up allows you to take higher-level missions? Gain richer rewards? And use these rewards to become stronger? These dog designers are truly innovative, gotta give them a thumbs up."
