The girl's gentle question sounded by his ear.
Geoffrey quickly closed the book, stepped aside, only to realize who was standing behind him.
"Miss... Derek."
He looked at her, his eyes gleaming with a fine, fragmented light. His slightly warm fingers tentatively touched hers, then hooked around her palm.
"What are you doing here?"
Geoffrey asked softly.
There weren't many customers in the bookstore, and no one noticed them behind the shelves.
Roy's smile was faint. She leaned closer, her left hand trailing down his shoulder, effortlessly retrieving the book he had hidden behind him, placing it back on the shelf.
With this motion, she quickly kissed his cheek.
Geoffrey's lips parted slightly, his breath slowing down as he processed it.
When he came to his senses, his fair face had already taken on a warm, ambiguous hue. His beautiful eyes became moist and mesmerizing.
