Theodore took a few minutes to confirm that Rocky wasn't joking with him.

His expression gradually turned cold.

"I need a reason."

Theodore clasped his hands together, assuming a negotiating posture, and discreetly scrutinized the young diplomat, "You'd better have a reasonable justification that prevents me from questioning the credibility and ethics of the Derek family."

At this moment, any words of consideration for Roy would be seen as an excuse.

Theodore did not believe this.

Rocky didn't need to reveal true feelings either.

He simply said, "Father is old, and I don't want to take over a mess. If my sister becomes the Empress, those corrupt old fellows will only rot further, damaging the reputation of the Royal Family and the Derek family. Additionally, I have my own plans, and if Roy marries His Highness, it will affect my future."

He looked at the contemplative Theodore, his tone flawless.
