"You stayed in that room for five days?" Aurelia Shaw was surprised.
Mason Nightshade chuckled softly, "I wasn't as bored as you think. When you went out to film, I went out to explore and watched you shoot."
Most of the time, he watched her film from the shadows.
Luckily, he came along this time; otherwise, he couldn't imagine what the consequences would have been.
Aurelia felt Mason's arm suddenly tighten. She leaned against his chest, listening to the quickening thump of his heart on the left side, her eyelashes fluttered a few times, then closed.
In a voice so soft it was almost inaudible, only heard when pressed tightly together, she whispered, "Thank you."
Mason's heart skipped a beat, and he lowered his head to plant a secret kiss on the top of hers. "Get some sleep."
"Mm."
Although Aurelia replied, she didn't fall asleep.
In such circumstances, neither of them could sleep.
