Seeing Mason Nightshade's arm stretch out of the hole, Aurelia Shaw immediately grabbed his arm and pulled him up with all her strength.
Mason stumbled unsteadily, taking two steps before collapsing onto her.
The rescue team could tell at a glance they were a couple; the two of them were covered in dust and dirt, but they didn't recognize who they were.
"What are you all standing around for? Go let the doctor check you over first, call your agent and have her come over, hurry up." Mason straightened his body, took a step back, left her embrace, his steps unsteady.
"Okay." Aurelia replied; right now, the most urgent thing was to contact someone she knew and let them know she was safe.
But after only a couple of steps, Aurelia suddenly sensed something was wrong.
Mason said... let Amanda Fuller come pick her up?
That wasn't Mason's personality.
