Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Abyssal Dungeon – [Goblin Forest]

The market outside the military base was bustling with activity.

Most of the people there were merchants buying dungeon items, along with adventurer groups established by Beastmasters.

These adventurer groups took on training missions, where for a fee, they guaranteed your safety in the dungeon, allowing you to fully enjoy the fun of dungeon exploration.

As Mo Qingchen stepped into the market, several adventurer group members immediately surrounded him, recommending their adventurer groups, each patting their chest to guarantee absolute safety or something.

The main tactic was to persuade you to hand over large amounts of Dragon Coins.

After finally getting rid of seven or eight adventurer group salespeople, Mo Qingchen started to look at the temporary shops that had been set up.

Most were buying the output from the dungeons, with a few selling various equipment and items.

After checking out several shops, Mo Qingchen concluded they were all a bunch of unscrupulous merchants!

The buying merchants were somewhat okay, with prices only slightly below the normal buying price.

As for the selling merchants, they were truly unscrupulous merchants.

An item that merely increases 1 point of basic attributes had a base price starting from 100,000 Dragon Coins.

Mo Qingchen wanted to spit in their face; this kind of extortion was beyond ridiculous!

After wandering around the market for a bit, he noticed quite a few students from the Fourteenth High School, and even a girl from class 99.

However, Mo Qingchen didn't have much interaction with her; she was a second-generation Beastmaster, unlike him, an orphan, not belonging to the same circle.

The girl was following a lady, and her beast was a vine, with a talent of C-level, already at Level 20.

"Having a family member as a Beastmaster sure is convenient."

The entrance ticket to the Abyssal Dungeon wasn't cheap, but for Beastmasters, even for Basic Beastmasters, it's just a small sum.

Since awakening as an Apprentice Beastmaster, and after days of earning money through hunting, Mo Qingchen deeply understood the money-making ability of Beastmasters.

With a sigh, Mo Qingchen walked directly into the military base.

He casually found a window, queued up to buy a ticket, and soon it was his turn.

"Excuse me, one ticket to the Goblin Forest dungeon."

"One Goblin Forest ticket, 80,000 Dragon Coins."

Mo Qingchen handed over his bank card, entered the password, and after swiping, received an iron token engraved with the number "211".

With the token in hand, Mo Qingchen followed the signs to the entrance of the Goblin Forest Abyssal Dungeon.

A long queue had already formed there, with a team of soldiers maintaining order.

Seeing these soldiers checking every Beastmaster entering the dungeon made Mo Qingchen frown slightly.

The queue moved quickly, and within five minutes, it was Mo Qingchen's turn.

Even though he handed over the token, he was still stopped.

"The Abyssal Dungeon is only open to Beastmasters. Please cooperate by summoning your beast for inspection."

The inspector wore a serious expression, and if one did not cooperate, expulsion awaited. The surrounding soldiers all simultaneously focused their gaze on Mo Qingchen.

Feeling the guns subtly aimed at him, Mo Qingchen instantly became uneasy.

Under pressure, Mo Qingchen had no choice but to summon Mo Jin from the Abyss Pattern Beast Taming Space.

The two-meter-large Great Needle Bee, with its metallic shimmering riding spear, instantly caused an uproar.

For the Great Needle Bee, a common Exotic Beast, both the queueing Beastmasters and the nearby soldiers understood that its normal size ranged between 1 to 1.2 meters.

Yet here appeared a giant.

Many Beastmasters who understood what this size represented looked at Mo Qingchen with a certain light in their eyes.

"Can I enter the Abyssal Dungeon now?"

The exposure of Mo Jin made Mo Qingchen's face icy cold, and he said in a chilly tone.

No way around it; Mo Jin's unique size, upon exposure, would inevitably bring him great trouble, so his mood was understandably sour!

"You may enter."

The inspector, not concerned with Mo Qingchen's cold attitude, glanced curiously at Mo Jin and nodded to let him pass.

With an icy expression, ignoring the tumult around him, Mo Qingchen and Mo Jin walked through the vortex created by the Space-Time Gate of the Goblin Forest dungeon.

In the blink of an eye, Mo Qingchen and Mo Jin entered the dungeon.

It was a vast forest, surrounded by lush trees, overgrown weeds, and chirping birds, with small animals darting through the jungle.

Seeing the towering trees of over ten meters around him, Mo Qingchen immediately extended his spiritual power.

With a Spiritual attribute of 24 points, he could perceive up to a 24-meter range.

And at the moment he spread out his spiritual power, he sensed two monsters lurking in the bushes!

"Jin Jin, two o'clock direction at your front right, Extreme Speed Sprint!"

As Mo Qingchen issued the order, two stingers flew out, one to the left, one to the right, pointing at the bushes from a distance.

Instantly, Mo Jin flapped its wings, turning into a golden lightning bolt, heading towards the two o'clock direction.

A pair of riding spears, glinting with a cold shine, constantly adjusted angles mid-flight. Upon seeing two green figures, the spears transformed into points of icy glint, stabbing out to the left and right.

With two crisp sounds, Mo Jin's body suddenly soared, while the riding spear in its hands picked up two corpses pierced through their chests, one to the left and one to the right.

"Nice!"

Seeing Mo Jin dash forward and instantly kill two Goblins, Mo Qingchen praised without reservation.

"These monsters are so weak."

Mo Jin flew in front of Mo Qingchen, shaking its riding spear, dropping the two green corpses on the ground.

"Goblins are the bottom-tier Beast Race, not very strong, but when you encounter Big Goblins later, you'll need to be more careful."

As Mo Qingchen spoke, he looked at the two Goblin corpses.

Standing at a mere meter tall with green skin, they looked like skinny creatures with pointed monkey faces, wearing nothing but a leaf-stitched triangle covering key areas.

"Goblin meat is tough, not even accepted by slaughterhouses. According to official descriptions, their valuable items are only their bones, which can be ground into bone meal to make pig feed, with a purchasing price of 1,000 Dragon Coins per ton."

Recalling the information he had found before, Mo Qingchen disdainfully kicked the two corpses away.

A ton of bones worth only 1,000 Dragon Coins; whoever wants to dig bones can go ahead—he definitely wouldn't do such laborious and thankless work!

"Jin Jin, fly up, see if you can find some fruit growing on trees."

Entering the Abyssal Dungeon of Goblin Forest, Mo Qingchen had, of course, thoroughly prepared various strategies, knowing very well which items were valuable inside.

For example, Tree Fruit, which sells for 300 Dragon Coins per pound outside, is quite valuable, and only costs 1 Abyssal Currency to bring out a pound from the Abyssal Dungeon.
