Chapter 8 - Poor poor, Maria?

"NORAAAAAAA ~" I turned and saw a disheveled Tori

She dragged her feet to her seat slumping before a certain somebody came back.

I couldn't help but ask "Girl, what did you do?

You look like you ran a marathon?"

She tilted her head and slowly explained

"When I saw how you and the others were getting to class I wanted to try something out, it worked but-" the door slid open fast and in came Ms.Dellis

Some unconsciously straightened their posture while Tori was a little sad at being cut off,Slowly sliding back up on her chair.

This time she didn't turn her head at all but whispered 'I'll tell you later.'

Ms.Dellis chugged the last bit of coffee then chucked it at the trash, she missed but didn't go to pick it up.

Then goes brave little Maria with fresh bandages wounds picking her empty cup but in the process gets lifted by the scruff instead.

'what the heck? Is she brain dead, it's almost like she's begging to get hit-' my eyebrows shot up.

In that moment the moon covered the sun, the stars all aligned, she was doing it on purpose!

All of a sudden poor poor Maria wasn't looking so pitiful.

"You." Ms.dellis lifted Maria up to meet her eyes

"If you were any smarter you wouldn't even dare to BREATHE too loud Infront of me little missy."

"Ms.Dellis, you can't just leave trash on the floor, just because others are ruining the environment with smoke doesn't mean-"

A crisp slap echoed in the classroom as a couple more people looked at Maria with sympathy.

Ms.Dellis didn't skip a beat at placing Maria back in her seat empty coffee cup still in hand

"Since you care so much, you can hold that cup for the rest of your time here."

'y'know, I never knew how strength types trained. I always thought they just ran and went to the gym, but I've heard of some strength types being immune to certain abilities.' I eyed the back of Maria's head

'I'm pretty sure her pops is one of them, famous for bulldozing through fire and demolishing fire related ability users."

"Alright, it's about time you lot learned something worthwhile." Ms.Dellis calmly spoke

She brought out a peice of from her shirt pocket and drew mini stick figures.

'who keeps chalk in their pocket?' I did still try to focus though, since we're actually learning now.

"You all now the basic lettering system, so we'll go into the simple TRI Ability Categories. Or for short TAC. We will be practicing how to answer questions on an enlistment paper, so you'll need to know these terms." She sharply turned back with a glare.

"This'll be a mastery."
