Chapter 254 - Chapter 254: Shameless

Late at night, in her bedroom in the Dressrosa Palace, Scarlett lay restlessly. Her mind was racing. She felt like she had been played for years. The more she thought about it, the angrier she felt. Everything was a mess.

The bedroom door opened from the outside, and Sephiroth appeared. Scarlett snorted coldly, turned her back, and closed her eyes. She didn't want to see the man who had been bothering her.

Sephiroth just chuckled. He took off his twin swords tucked into his waist and his shoes. Then, he lifted the white blanket and got into bed. He wrapped his left arm around Scarlett's waist, sniffing the scent of her pink hair, and feeling her body temperature.

"Get out!"

"I don't want to!" Sephiroth refused boldly, still hugging her.

He knew the vampire bat he had placed in this bedroom had been chopped into eighteen pieces by Scarlett. That showed how angry the woman was. However, the unlocked door gave him a little hope. It meant that, deep down, Scarlett still wanted to forgive him.

"Fine! You won't leave, I will!" Scarlett tried to break Sephiroth's arm.

Sephiroth didn't give her a chance. He pulled her back into his arms.

"You bastard! Bastard! Bastard!" Scarlett fought back, hitting his chest. Sephiroth didn't dodge. With his physical strength, the Haki-less blows felt like a massage.

Sephiroth gently stroked Scarlett's hair. "Yes, I'm a bastard. I'm sorry for lying to you, but… my love for you is truly sincere."

"Waaah…! You… bastard!" After hearing that, Scarlett's tears spilled down her cheeks. She truly loved and hated Sephiroth at the same time. She wanted to end everything, but after six years, this relationship couldn't be broken so easily. The man had always been good to her, except for this matter.

Sephiroth felt Scarlett's emotions change, thanks to his Kenbunshoku Haki. He knew it was time to attack, not giving her a chance to think. Without saying a word, he lifted Scarlett's chin and kissed her, disrupting all her thoughts. The two of them already knew each other inside and out and cooperated tacitly. Scarlett's mind went blank, completely losing the ability to think.

The next day, Scarlett woke up from Sephiroth's embrace. Last night, she felt like she had fallen into that bastard's routine again. She took a pillow and hit the still-sleeping Sephiroth with it, venting her anger.

However, Sephiroth felt her changing mood. He immediately started whispering sweet nothings. He used his hands and feet again, making Scarlett lose her ability to think again. It wasn't until noon, after feeling very weak and dehydrated, that Scarlett fully realized the fact that she might never be able to escape the clutches of that bastard Sephiroth for the rest of her life.

At Madam Shyarly's house in Fish-Man Island's Port Town, Sephiroth arrived. He saw Shyarly, with a bubble bracelet on her lower body, floating in the bathtub. He took off his clothes and got in.

"I'll wash you!" Sephiroth said, rubbing soap on his hands.

Shyarly said nothing. She closed her eyes and let Sephiroth scrub her. The two of them bathed for more than two hours before getting out.

Sephiroth wrapped his left arm around Shyarly's slender waist, while his right hand caressed her chest. "In a little while, let's go for a walk in Coral Hill!"

"Don't! Something big happened here. You shouldn't show up carelessly, or I'll get into a lot of trouble."

"What big thing!?"

"It also has something to do with your Marines…"

Shyarly pushed Sephiroth's hand away. She took a newspaper from the bedside table and gave it to Sephiroth.

"Fisher Tiger, the captain of the Sun Pirates, was critically wounded during his capture by the Marines. Because humans refused to provide a blood transfusion, he eventually died. This is a very bad thing!"

Sephiroth read the newspaper and mumbled. He had been too busy coaxing Scarlett and hadn't been following the news. He didn't expect the butterfly he caused to not change Fisher Tiger's fate. I can only say, time is also destiny!

Remembering destiny, Sephiroth recalled the future Shyarly had prophesied. He got up, took the crystal ball of prophecy, and placed it on the bed. "I want you to prophesy my future again."

"In the previous prophecy, if nothing unexpected happens, the result will be the same…" Shyarly said, but she subconsciously activated her ability.

When she saw the image in the crystal ball, she was stunned. Great anger emerged. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down.

"How is it? What did you see?" Sephiroth asked.

Shyarly glared at him ferociously, then pointed to the door.

"Get out of here!"

"Huh!?"

"Get out of here!" Shyarly grabbed a pillow and hit Sephiroth's face, which she now hated so much.

"Why are you suddenly so angry?"

"Get out! Go away! I don't want to see you again!"

"What did I do wrong?"

"Hmph! You bastard, don't you know what you did wrong?!"

As if thinking of something, Sephiroth saw Shyarly's baring her teeth. He could only give a wry smile, get up, get dressed, grab his twin swords, and leave the house.
